I hate answering these questions for people, but I'm for D3. It's the new hotness.
GW 2 appears to be getting a lot of votes, but who knows when thats coming out. If you're looking for games to play now...well you know.

Path of Exile has impressed me alot, if you like an ARPG with character customization and important permanent choices then PoE is definitely worth looking up to see if it's something for you.
I wouldn't advise anyone to pay for beta access or pre-purchase any game however. If you aren't quite sure what to buy then buy some great older game you haven't played, get it cheap and give it a go, there's plenty of reviews and footage of older games so you can make an informed decision.
You can't buy Mists of Pandaria this week. ^^

I would advise against buying GW2 for two reasons..
1: Its not got a release date.
2: The paradigm shift you are going to have to go through to just be able to understand the game let alone play the game might just be too harrowing for you to endure. I feel this will hamper its long term success as many gamers will not be able to take this fundamental paradigm change in their gaming lives.
So I'd say for an MMO fix SW:TOR or TERA.... they are both available for purchase NOW and don't require a life changing paradigm shift to play. Easy EH!

D3 because it's coming out on the 15th. and GW2 so at least you can get into the next beta to see what the game is all about. You can always return your purchase.

I played the "Beta weekend" and now I can't go back to any other game. I have no desire to play anything else. GW2 has killed my gaming addiction and replaced it with GW2 addiction.
I suggest D3.
none.. if GW2 was out I'd vote for it, buying it this week is rather pointless though.
Should have replaced the Mists of Pandaria option with The Secret World. You can't buy MoP yet but you can buy TSW and it has a release date.
I picked GW2 for you, it's a no brainer. the game is fantastic and buying now gets you into the beta weekends so you can see what all the fuss is about for yourself.
I find it telling that SWTOR isn't doing well in this poll.
Tera, gw2, or rift. All 3 are pretty fair games. Diablo3 is ok too but they keep dumbing it down every iteration of the beta and meh.

GW2 they could easily release this now it's easily the best Beta i have ever tested,and the only Mo i have purchased before at least trying it myself as the net was saturated with vids anyway so i could see the quality and no subs is a real no brainer for me.
I still have my eye on TSW though but as not in beta i think i'll wait for launch as i should have a bit of Alpha testing as well so i'm gonna be a bit busy come June.
I've made GW2 a priority over other MMORPGs, but if you can afford GW2 at a future date sometime this year then I'd go for another one of those games and then come back for GW2. A lot of friends I know are excited about Diablo 3.
You can't play GW2 right now but its worth spending watching STARTING SCREEN plus MUSIC alone make you addicted no other game will intrest you anymore make you watch so much as GW2 STARTING SCREEN plus MUSIC is AWESOME:P

Question: For those of you playing POE, can anyone have minions? I'm assuming if I just insert a minion slot into my weapon or armor then I can summon it. So its like there is no real class correct?

D3- because I liked the beta
POE- Same as D3 but it needs just a wee bit more polish and its F2P
Rift- Honestly this is the best MMO(opinion) since vanguard/FF11
GW2- Replacing or supplementing my Rift fix. The reason Why I am not playing Rift full time is because short of raiding I feel like I accomplished a lot on my character. I do not pvp, just don't like that in any game. I'm up to Hammerknell raiding, but to me it just feels like I want to raid everyday and I can't do that so that is out.
I could level more characters but that is a slow process. Leveling a warrior is sheer torture lol. I don't know maybe I'll give it a go and level it up here and there.
Tera- Honestly I just can't see that game lasting that long. For me it lasted from the open beta until I played it last week I want to say for a bit between GW2. After playing GW's I uninstalled Tera.
You can't go wrong with a lot of them...I would try everyone except Tera unless they give you a free weekend to try it out for yourself.
I bought and am waiting for GW2. The beta hooks you to the point that other MMOs simply fail to bring personal pleasure anymore. The paradigm shift is so great you wonder what the hell gaming companies have been thinking all these years. Of course, I play a little TF2 just for a gaming fix until release... then I'm set for easily years to come.

I can see the issues with GW2 but I think it is indeed setting the genre up for a nice shake. Especially if they pull it off. So far after the beta I think they are definiely on the right track. What irritated me about playing it though was I was getting attached to my character. Knowing that they will be wiped just turned me off to investing any amount of time with one solid class.
Since I don't know you I can say that I voted for TERA only because if I have the money to purchase only one game, I'd prefer to buy one that is currently out. If I have the money for two then I'll buy one that is released and pre-purchase another. If later was your case I'd say TERA and GW2. I just finished the beta weekend of GW2 and the game is shaping up to be EPIC. However, since you can only purchase one TERA is my vote because it has been a lot of fun (so far). The combat is refreshing and I find myself enjoying my gameplay. While the rest of the game is much like the MMO we've all come to expect the simple change in the combat has made a difference. I would have said SWTOR but since I'm canceling my subscription because I just don't find it fun anymore. It's just lacking something. The story is great but it would have been better as a single player honestly.

I would vote for GW2 but since there is no precise release date of it u should buy diablo 3 to be able to play in 9 days and get GW2 later this year !!
