It amazes me people will still find something to complain about.

I will give it this game is no Diablo 2. But keep in mind that Diablo 2 was best after it's Expansion. Before the LOD expansion the game was good, but not as great as after. With that said I still do not get many of the gripes about Diablo 3.

-Many claim Blizzard is trying to charge you by requiring internet access. The problem with this is Blizzard is not profitting from you needing to have internet access.

-Many claim the game is not free becuase of the real money Auction House. The only problem with that is noone is forcing you to us the real money auction house.

-Some claim Diablo 2 had better graphics. Seriously... This game has much better graphics and the reason it is not super high end graphics is that Blizzard wants to have a game that most people can play while still having decent graphics. It is like that with EVERY Blizzard game.

I have heard other arguements, but I cannot remember them all, but most of them are baseless. Why do people hate this game so much. Many of the haters either barly played the game or did not at all (rolls eyes.)

Its an outstanding game....pay no attention the the ones who bash it on this sight...they a very very small fraction of the actual gaming community

I agree... many of them seem like they have not played before bashing it. Heck if I want to bash a game I will at least play it.

And one enters. Hun, Many people play MMORPG's solo all the time. That is essentially a single player game. I have played much of Diablo 3 single player and I am having a blast. I have had minimal lag and only 2 disconnects one becuase my internet went down.

I've specially hard to believe that someone actually believes in "-Many claim the game is not free becuase of the real money Auction House. " since Diablo III is a Buy-To-Play game and therefore is never free regardless of whether or not a Real Money Auction House exists.

Wording, intentions and context is important to grasp what people actually meant and that's why links are very much appriciated.

mmorpgs are not single player games, just because you can play them solo doesn't mean they are single player games. Diablo IS a singleplayer game end of story no matter how you much bs you want to spin its still a single player game and thus completely different than a MMORPG.

I too am amazed that people will buy Diablo 3, despite the horrible DRM, RMAH, dumbed down gameplay, and horrible WoW art-style graphics.

The beauty of this is that it is my opinion. Calling them "Baseless" because you disagree is hardly worth posting about it don't you agree?

Many of the haters seem to be voiceless lovers who must except everything while demanding everyone else be slient. Roll...eyes.

Seriously...why must someone love it completely or hate it? Why cant I LIKE the game, and not like other parts? Why must I not voice my opinion and pretend all is well?

It was on another thread and for some reason I cannot link it. it was called "Blizzard underestimated the gold AH" one poster is stating that Blizzard is nerfing the gold AH to force people to use the real money AH. Other posters elsewhere are claiming that Blizzard is forcing you to buy internet to play the game. The irony is the people complainging obviously have internet as they are here posting to complain.

ignore the diablo 3 forums. After a thread with the OP asking for a way to hide the appearance of spiders in the game because of his arachnophobia let to a slew of insulting and harassing posts by the forum goers, that site and its community has lost all respect from me. That is where most of the whining is too. Every single response is derogatory, snide, cynical, and unpleasant I just cannot understand why blizzard attracts such awful people.

It has an extensive multiplayer side as well. Cannot be categorized to only be a single player game. As for how far aways it stands from MMORPGs in different aspects: one would have to analyze them. For instance, the auction house is massive, and even more massive than in most MMORPGs which have server-limited auction houses. The amount of concurrent players that can fight certain enemies is low compared to certain MMORPGs but of the same magnitude as more instanced ones such as SWTOR.

Is the intent of this post to claim Diablo 3 is perfect? Would that not be the logical reason to assume no one could rightfully complain about it?

I understand ppl who love the game might be frustrated that some people exaggerate the cons but lets be honest, just as many people exagerrate the pros.

wow, jsut wow... I just do not get how those who are complaing about a game they never bought and seem to not intend to buy. For instance, I do not like sports games. However, I do not spend my time on their sites complaining about their games. Why should it bother me? Why should I care?

If you read my post, you would know that I am not acting like the game has no con's. I look at it this way, I think the pro's outweigh the con's. Regardless the being online to play does not bother me for the most part. It is irritating when my internet goes down, but I can go play something else.

hun, you were not who I was talking about. I am refering to those who come here and say they will never buy the game, that it is a piece of trash and that Diablo 2 looks better and blah blah. All of which are not true if they looked at the game and played it.

Actually opposite opinions are usually opinions. The problem is some like saying that "Blizzard is charging a monthly fee becuase you have to pay for internet access to play "makes no sense. You DO have to have the internet, but Blizzard is not profiting from it, the internet provider is. Most people these days have high speed internet. I do not think you can buy a analog Modem anymore anyways.

There is a post there that explicitely says "The truth of the matter is Blizz is scurrying to find a way to nerf the gold AH so there will be an actual reason for the RMT AH." However, he doesn't say that people will be forced to use the real money AH. He is merely pointing out that the thinks that Blizzard is trying to make changes so that the RMT AH becomes more attractive.

Twothreefour well he was one of many that said similar things. Like I said I had to find one that was recent. Many have specifically said that the Real Money AH is a way of Blizzard charging you. You are right they cannot force you, I have told them that. But many believe that somehow they will make it so to enjoy the game you will have to use it. They argue that it is a ploy by Blizzard to cash in off the 15%. I think it is ludicrous frankly.

Hun, check my post history. I have said I will never buy the game...because of the DRM forced online play...

I will not support any game that forces you to play online when it is a standalone game. I will say it, I will say it no matter how much you dont like hearing it and the same is for any game that I BUY. I am a consumer, I have a right to speak even if I dont buy it...because I WOULD HAVE if they didnt use DRM.

If I dont say anything, they will never know they lost a customer because of their actions.
