Full Loot, Open PVP

Im looking for a MMORPG to play.
I really want full loot, open pvp. Just like UO was initially.
It makes the pvp interesting to me and gives me a reason to chase PVM rewards.
What current MMORPGs and future releases offer this?
p.s. Just to clarify, by 'full loot, open pvp' I mean that you can kill any other player character (possibly outside towns for instance) you choose. When you have killed them you can loot their body and take any of their items, equipped or in their pack you choose. There may be some insurance option like in later UO; Im willing to put up with that if I must.

yep ive trialed EVE and it wasnt for me. I love sci-fi and i think the game mechanics of EVE are fantastic, just the whole 'never getting out of the ship' thing doesnt get me going.

I knew what I wanted and asked this community for its opinion.
There are many games available, considering some people here are actually adults and do not mind being sociable I had no problems in asking thier thoughts.
However your broken english and pre-school spelling indicate you are not one of these adults and I have no interest in what you say.
Maybe if you learned to interact like a human being you would not have to spend hours reading sites because you could ask another more knowledgeable person. You will learn as you grow older that most great things require help from others to accomplish, so leaving your room once in a while and making real life friends would probably be advised.
What is the point of this community if it cannot impart its experience to others?
Some people here do not have personal issues manifested in thier 'internet toughguy' persona.
My thread is only meant for mature people who are willing to share some of thier knowledge. Pointless responses like yours are not welcome.

I could go back and put in the proper grammar for your last tirade against doing other peoples homework. Which is obviously the route you went in school since you can't seem to grasp proper sentence structure, grammar, and the spell check command. The fellow received the information he wanted. Thousands of people visit this site everyday and most of them read the forums. Miraculously to you, some of them have played various MMORPG' and will post "Hey, i've played a game like that, and it's blah blah". Enjoy your slice of humble pie.

If you really are older than me and English is your own language then you really need to get some schooling rather than play online RPG games. 'Sesame Street' would be a good place to start. You need to work on your sentence structure, what you have written above is incomprehensible.
But, as your in clear need of help, I will help you a get started. Lets look at your initial post.
First sentence, we will assume your talking about this website, although its not clear what you are talking about. Maybe youre talking about a game's website, maybe your talking about something else.
Next, the word 'spent' does not contain a letter 'a'. Also, 'games' has a single 'e'. However the most tragic mistake is next. The word 'sight' is in reference to vision, as in 'Sally has impaired sight'. The hint is where you wrote the word 'website' one sentence earlier, the word that needs to replace 'sight' is 'site'.
So my friend, thats two spelling mistakes and misuse of a word in four sentences. That performance would not get you past high school English, so if you are as old as you claim things are looking bad for you.
Its quite possible English is not your first language and you are making a gallant attempt at using it. Well done for your effort, but you really need to spend some more time with it.
Now in relation to your blathering about 'doing my homework', some people here have posted helpful and insightful things. These people are some examples of why the Internet is a good thing, why it should be allowed to continue into the future for the betterment of all mankind. Take note from their actions, and also their English.

i don't tend to interfere with neither of your disputes concerning the use of native language and the grade in which you can, but according to the title of the topic, i'd suggest moving this flame conversation to an irrelevant forum as perhaps "Off-topic".

Secondly m3th asked a straight forward question which is quite hard to answer....till now I and someone else have been the only 2 people answering his question properly! Roma Victor is a game you probably never played and who are you to say that he didn't look for a game with Open PvP and Full Loot. There barely are any out right now and Irth Online is in Open Beta and yes I have played it!!
Most people have not even heard of Irth Online! Its the only game that comes close to the way Ultima Online used to be in the old days, so don't start flaming people and showing what a bully you can be when you have the opportunity! He did not deserve what you said, and CaesarsGhost was in the wrong too, but atleast he admitted it! I am still waiting for you to show some humility.....

Ok, but you were being unpleasant, and if the admins read what you just said I am sure you would be given a firm warning! You can't say what ever you like in these forums, and expect respect back after stating something you were out of line to say.
As for researching, everyone does that. Now think of it from everyones point of view instead of your own and some other people's point of views...or whatever lol. You did see things from the new comer's point of view. Now its easy to say what you said, but if a person doesn't know where to start from, and asks for a post like the one M3th did, he's not expecting us to give him a full review on the game. Just some games for him to check out. You know what he said, right after I told him about Irth Online, he didn't ask for more information, but he said he would check it out himself. Thats one reason why you were out of line.

The Administrators of this website would definitley find you to be a liability to this community by what you stated - that you will conduct yourself anyway you like here.
One of the main reason the community here is present is to help players find the great games they are looking for. And if you think that that hype-meter is a lot of help you are wrong. If Guild Wars is at the top, do you think its the best MMORPG out, or is it the best because it does not have a monthly subscription to play it. Some of the tools in this website are misguiding and it is very hard to find specific games with open pvp and full loot.
Now I don't mean to continue this, but I don't want people in this community thinking they can act unpleasant and not conduct themselves properly, accusing others of being lazy and trying to make them look bad is flaming in my opinion. In this topic anyone doing that was definitley out of line, he deserved to atleast be given help to start off his search. Its one of the main reasons for this message board being present.
On a personal note, I do my own research, but I also tend to ask the public in this forum to help me with what games to look out for. I found Roma Victor to be the game I hope is what I want. We can't treat people with disrespect, and accuse them of anything.
Whats even worse, you failed to admit that you were out of line and that you should have atleast told M3th that he did ask for a type of game that is hard to find, and that you should have just helped him start off instead of the extra words....that I find to be extremely stubborn.
Yeah ok, anyway the type of game he asked for was hard to find....so there was an exception for him definitley.
Guildwars is the most hyped because it is free of subscription fee, and has a lot of eye candy. It has the graphics and the marketing strength to be the most hyped game. And thats the reason. Other games which are free have low budgets, don't expect much money in return and can't handle a massive player base. Guild Wars cheated, since the game world is made completely out of zoning. It shouldn't even be an MMORPG but the game has the capability for over a 100 players to be in the same game zone (on of the outposts where you find a party and go on a quest). The game is totally made out of different zones having a max of 16 players in the combat zones and it doesn't really require much bandwidth and doesn't take up much server load since there isn't a lot of data passing from server to client. GuildWars is officially an MMORPG, but the hype is because of eye candy (graphics, shadings and lighting) and one of the only games with free subscription play with good combat and gameplay and very well marketed.
If you didn't notice, its the only game without a pay to play subscription in the front pages window of most popular games.
What the hell is wrong with you people? The guy is asking for directions and you stop screaming that he should research first and ask questions later? How dumb is that? He is looking for a game to play, he is asking our opinions. I dont think he should go now and read info on ALL the freaking games out there on the market. What hes doing is asking players who has experience with a certain game(s) and then, once he has a list of games he was recommended, he can go and research those specific games.
If you got nothing else to do but flame legit requests, then you need to spend your time elsewhere or simply grow up.
To answer OP question, the only game with open PvP and lootable items i know (aside Eve) is Lineage2. But I dont know much about it, i suggest you post your question about it on L2 forum.

Yeah Jimmy, I already stated that they were out of line, and CaesarsGhost admitted he was in a bit of a bad mood.
Anyway I doubt he would like Lineage 2, I heard some pretty bad things about that game....
He said a game similar to Ultima Online, so what popped right up was Irth Online, closest thing to Ultima Online in my opinion.
Then there is Roma Victor which is soon comming to release....and of course the infamous (to me) Darkfall which I am worried will be a total flop, because I don't think the dev team is capable of making a great game like what they promised.

Your an example of why MMORPG.COM is still worth visiting. Ive downloaded the Irth client, installing it as we speak and received my beta key earlier this morning. Thanks mate! After reading the game's own forums, chatting on thier IRC channel and reading through thier manual it sounds like you have hit the nail right on the head. This is what I am looking for.
Its good to know this site is still a great resource for the world's MMORPG players.

On the subject of Guild Wars, my copy is sitting on the bookshelf opposite me right now. In my opinion it is just not a MMORPG. Its not even that much fun (ie I think it sucks), but the important part besides personal views is it really isnt what the term MMORPG has come to mean.
Arena.net has stated this on thier own site, they never intended it to be a MMORPG. I guess I should have taken heed rather than get excited about the lack of a monthly fee. Ah well, you live and you learn.
Anyways, Irth Online has the horses, houses and open pvp and loot that I loved from Ulitma Online. Im installing it with great anticipation.

Its true you can look up games find out if games are suited or not, this guy was just asking for recommendations really. I guess it can be frustrating to a regular mmorpg forum visitor the quantity of posts asking for a decent mmorpg. This must be solely due to the number of new visitors to the forum.
I totally agree that eve online is the game you want.
