in Dark and Light

Ive been trying to connect to their website but I have not been able to in a few days.  Is it just me?  I remember a post from Vuuar or sekhemet about game servers going down, but this wouldent effect the website would it?  Maybe they are just using the time to revamp the site...  so let me know if yeah have a clue.

    Cannot connect either, last time was friday I think. They are probably just doing some updates on the site. I hope so I never cared for their site's design anyway, I never cared for that mauve or pink or whatever color that was that they they used.

    It would have been nice of them to let the community know though.

    Rubycat www.darkandlight.com and www.darkandlight.net lead to the same site so it doesn't matter which you use

    Yeah, I hope they're changing the look of the website. Hopefully the layout of the FAQ too.

    Works for me.I hardly ever check up on this game anymore mainly because, and after reading some beta 'testimonials', that all thats really in this game right now are travel and weather systems, and nice graphics. Ive only read one beta testimonial tjat mentioned actual gameplay and they said there wasnt much fighting to be done because apparently theyre still adding content. Maybe they should get on the right track and stop focusing so much on travel and graphics get some real gameplay in.

     That is wierd I am still getting time outs on both Firefox and Explorer, no other sites are giving me a problem, Oh well.

    well there were 2 sites, .com and .net  both are/were offical DnL sites.  Neither of which are working.

    My link to the 'private forums' is not working and im really not sure wtf is going on if its working for a few people but its not working for most.  Im just getting a timed out error.

    Perhaps we were IP banned for not being drooling fanbois on the forums LOL. Would not surprise me, like i keep saying the closer it gets to launch the more it is reminding me of Mournings launch. That is something they would have pulled. Seriously though,  I can't figure reason for this, I have tried 3 different browsers, using the .net .com and the ISP address and time out every attempt. Perhaps someone who knows the more subtle aspects of the net can explain it. I think I remeber this happening about a year or so ago, then all of a sudden it just started working again.

    I pinged the server..

    It's not the website that is just offline it's the entire server.

     Request timed out.

    I remember when mourning's project manager said this would happen with dnl.  he said the same about WISH. ho ho   two for two?

    Folks,

    Not sure what's going on here but I've just connected to www.darkandlight.net - working perfectly fine for me (am still using FF - as if I'd use IE!).

    It's 6 Sep 05 @ 20:27 BST (+1 GMT).

    Perhaps your conspiracy IP banned theory may have some merit :P

    Cool that makes sence to me then, I know the server was going down I just didnt realise it was the web server also.  They are making some big changes.

     

    Oh and no ones IP has been banned, that does not make sence, Why would a wookie live on the planet endor, that does not make sence.

    I was half way kidding about the IP ban, but just curious if any of the people in N. America can log in, specifically East Coast US. I was talking with a friend in France this today and he is having no problems at all, Inferno from the Stratics DnL site is in Germany and likewise no problems.

    im in the UK and cant get on the site .... hopefully they will reward us with a stress test or an open beta or just allow us to download the client ready for release date :)

    Oh yeah Jackdog I totaly understand that you were kidding The LOL after the statment sorta gave it away for me. 

    But yeah it would be pretty funny if they IP banned you :)

    Well in my case I have long quit looking at a game as them rewarding me by taking my money, now it's more I will reward them with some coin if their game is up to my expectations. Somewhere along the line I became a bit jaded.

    only ppl from europe can connect to Darkandlight.com ppl from usa cant i havent seen one person from usa be able to connect but ppl from the uk and stuff can ::::12::

    I tried yesterday and today and cannot connect to Dark & Light website.  Should I take this as a bad sign?  With so many cool mmorpgs coming out, all I need is a tiny excuse to move on to the next one.  I can only play 1 or 2, anyway  :)

    Im from Denmark (north EU) (skandinavia) and havent been able to connect to the site for days, but others in my country can connect, maybe they have done som random IP bans... Maybe they were bored...

    wrong! im from Wales in the Uk and cant get on, where as a friend from america can get on fine and spam as much as he likes on the forums. Therefore the usa users not working and european users working theory is wrong

    Can someone with access to the DnL website give an email addess to their customer support or something similar? I would like to mail them and see what they tell me ::::02::
