The game is stable, the content is still very limited, and I managed to break at least 7 events in Gendarran Fields.
You know, pulling numbers out of the air is completely foolish. If anything, it will be released around the holidays or early next year. Then again, i try not to speculate because honestly, it's up to them when they feel the game is good enough to release.
Considering we haven't even seen 2 races or their starter areas, I'd say it's still 3-4 months off. The game did show vast improvement from the last BWE however.
Indeed. As much as I wish it would release soon, I expect late September the earliest.
Regarding the two other races and areas, i'm pretty sure we wont see them till release. I think they are holding some things back for release. Dont ask me to find the quote, I just remember reading them saying this,
IMO they need two more BW. Having played in the previous two, you can def say there were improvements. With that said, some of professions need some help. Let me name a few: Mesmer (clone AI needs help), Thief (needs help all around), Guardian (range option). Some professions stood out this beta like the Ranger and Warrior. Let me also point out that it would be ncie to have the camera pan farther out and the overall speed of the races is rather slow (not withstanding a professions ability to increase speed, which negates another, maybe more important skill, because u took up a slot to run 10% faster).
Even with what I said the game is a joy to play and I would gladly play it today as a release product. Lets just hope Anet nails these professions.
Edit: Forgot to say, 2 BW = 2 more months.
The mesmer clones were dire, just standing there, then when you explode them they run to the target but half the time pathing means they don't get there.
Guardian has a ranged option though, if you use a scepter(? think it was) and a shield you have ranged single target spell, ranged AOE, and a big bubble projectile shield. I thought Guardian was one of the best classes along with mesmer (would have been best if the clones were not broken)
It doesn't matter when it gets released. People will complain regardless. It's to hard. It's to easy. I'm 80 and there is nothing to do. Classes are unbalanced. I want FFA why doesn't it have FFA. Or whatever else they want to complain about.
If they released next month I'd be happy as a pig in mud, but I expect a few more months atleast.
Because it is GW2 not any other game. If you dont like it - well enjoy the games you will be playing.
I don't think the classes are imbalanced, although I do think some individual skills have issues, such as the illusion clones on the mesmer (don't hold aggro, don't do much damage). But overall I think they are doing qutie admirably with development.
My experience up to level 26 on a warrior is similar if not better than my experience in many games AFTER they went retail. There are a few details left to fix, but generally, the game is close to release (if, of course, the content is ready for the higher levels).

Engineer is getting love, Mesmer needs love, Guardian is getting sceptre and staff adjusted (again). Thief is getting a look at again. This is all based on Jon Peters posts on the official forums.
I actually think they will give us Asura and Sylvarii - probably next BWE. With a final BWE to check out optimization in August.

Still predicting headstart 9/14 and launch 9/18.
Can you post a link to the JP post, please. I'm interested in reading it.
I still think there are a lot way to go still, they need to include the 2 other races and open up a lot more areas. So I be guessing it will take some time now.
"As this was the last profession we got in, you will notice it is probably still the roughest around the edges. We aren’t going to rework how the whole thing works, but you will see him get a lot smoother as we head towards release. This gives you a pretty big insight into our iterative process, but also requires mesmer players to be a bit more patient. The feedback in here has been great so keep it up and we will keep working on improving your profession.

Yeah, Mesmers certainly need "the love". I found my mesmer pretty fun to play during this BWE but it was far from a polished experience.

It really does make you lose faith in humanity doesn't it.

I hope that there will be one more (open) beta to stress test the servers and then release.
But reading here that some classes need some lovin i presume it might take two more beta rounds and then release.....so maybe first half of september i guess.
In my opinion, there would be One stress test, and one or maximum two other BWEs. The game only needs minor tweaks and fixes at this point. The product is pretty much finished.

I'd guess for a september release.
September - I don't think so. Why? Look at the schedule for the next Aion patch and some others from NCSoft. They are going to come on line around then and they want to have the releases a littlesegmented for maximum effect.
Most of everything that has been made playable right now is pretty much ready to be released. There are some bugs and problems you will inevitably encounter here or there, but a small number of those are expected on release and can as easily be fixed post-release as they can between betas. At least nothing I've personally encountered hurt my gameplay experience to an extend that I would even remotely consider it gamebreaking.
As for all zones and PVE content not yet revealed, that in no way means it's not just as ready to go as the content we've played thus far. I can't think of a single MMO's beta that allowed players access to all zones and dungeons prior to release--even during the open beta periods that immediately precede the official release.
I'd guess one more beta. I just hope they don't spend another 6 weeks before we get to that point
If I had to make a guess i would say there is gonna be 2 more BWEs, after the next we will get release date and then we will get one more to flesh out some last minute changes....thats my guess

My guess was August 28th before the first BWE and it is still August 28th after this one.

Here's the one on Mesmer, haven't seen the others hes talking about so can't link them https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/professions/mesmer/Mesmer-status/page/1

I'd say yes.
I ran into very, very few bug/performance issues, the early game is good to go.
That being said, we haven't seen Sylvari/Asura and nobody has really seen content 40+
I'd imagine we'll see one or two more BWE's max.
The next one is going to have to have Sylvari/Asura or one or the other.
40+ content as well.
Then like all MMOs when it's released we'll hope/pray that 50-80 content is as good/polished as 1-50.
July/August release date IMO.
More likely August.
Humanity is overrated, this is the age of Sylvari

Not sure about release, they haven't said anything about an open beta?

I don't think they will have an open beta - only BWE for pre-purchasers.
I would go as far as saying that there will be 3 more BWEs and the game will be out around SEP 3rd.
want bet some money? i will say for sure game will release before September. dont know what BW you play but game is very polished already.

This last BWE had beta key give-aways, and I am thinking the next BWE will have even more with maybe the last BWE being a full no-key-needed beta.
