Nope, it won't. GW2 won't kill any game just as much as any other game won't kill any other game. No such thing exists. Sure it can grab players from the game but even if it does keep all the players it draws away (which no game will) it would never be enough to completely kill off a game.
Yes, some games people will stay with (seeing people mention it here) but truthfully a lot of people say one thing about a game and you will see 3 months later that person going back finding themselves unhappy with the game.
GW2 is going to blow away the compitition. With ease!
Will it kill them off, probably not, because there will be players unwilling to try something new, or they have too much invested in thier current game. A good example of that can be found right here, in the thread about housing in MMOs.
It will only matter the first two weeks than the only game GW2 will kill is GW1 after that it will just be a game to PvP on not a MMO you play with friends.

Please quit speaking for me and my friends....and quit trolling. My friends and I will be playing it for a long time to come. If you don't like the game, fine....but quit flamebaiting and go play your sandbox or whatever.
I don't get it... who cares? Do people playing WoW impede on your ability to have fun in GW2?
Can someone explain to me why people are obsessed with murdering (killing) World Of Warcraft. WoW is an anomaly. It is not the norm. If we laid it out statistically, it would be 3+ standard deviations above the mean.
Besides that, GW2 doesn't even have the same inherent structure as WoW. One is subscription based and the other is simply buy to play. Different goals for success here.
I know it's as likely as telling the sun to turn into a blue giant and have it happen, but let's go ahead and stop posting about that famous phrase, "WoW Killing" as it is pointless and stupid. Then again... look where I'm posting. Carry on.
Who cares will GW2 kill or will not kill WOW or any other game. They are totally two different games and there is gap of whole decade of gaming evolution and development between them. If you like some game you will play it, if not, you will not play it. Its simple as that, or it should be simple as that.
I'm a little tentative about GW2 to be honest......GW1 was hyped quite a bit also and when I tried it I found it very mediocre at best.....I realize they are two different games but just saying the hype was there for the first one also....Also GW2 has a little too much hype for my liking.....It seems like all the games that have had this kind of hype here (AoC, WAR, SWTOR, Darkfall, etc) just havent been anywhere near as good as people here tell it.
You dont need to tell us you preordred your points were relatively valid. The othe thing is if you were ok paying a sub the GW2 wont really cause you to not pay that sub. GW2 isnt a WoW killer and if it was it wouldnt matter anways. The truth is if a game is worth playing it will be played.

The hype has so little to do with it. Hype is stupid and if you follow the hype your only hurting yourself. If you can name all those titles then you should have learned from the past dont even look at the hype play in beta read the player comments etc etc. Its a very old song and dance and I think we all should know the rhythm by now.
I do not care who will kill whom for others, i only care if i have fun playing a game. And after playing GW2 for 8 days (2 bwe + stress test) it killed every single mmo i played so far for me.
I just cannot picture myself playing another themepark mmo with a sub fee, gear treadmill, quest hubs, level grind curve, static combat. And All of the games on this site's list that is not a sandbox style mmo falls into that category.
I just dont want to play that same retarded game (wow swtor tera aoc aion etc etc) with different skin and a couple of boring features over and over again.
I hate to say it.. but it's this mentality that is turning me OFF from MMO's in general.. This competitive gaming that some are obsessed wtih.. When I started playing EQ1 in 99.. We didnt' care about killing DAoC or killing AC or any other game.. Nor did others try to kill EQ.. Who cares .. Really? Do you think the PGA is trying to kill the NFL? or NFL trying to kill NBA? Can't people just play to play and have fun.. My G*d I swear this genre is going right down the tubes.. LOL
Saying a game will "kill" another game is stupid because no one is ever going to agree on what "kill" means. For example, UO still existed after EQ came out, but a significant amount of players migrated to EQ and UO was no longer the dominant MMORPG. So did EQ "kill" UO? You could say yes because it essentially took its "crown." Or you could say no because UO still existed after EQ (and still exists today).
So can a game "kill" another? It all depends on what you define "kill" as.
On the other hand, I think we all can agree that a new game's release can have a significant effect on existing games from players leaving their existing game and migrating to the new game. And I do think GW2 will have this effect on several games.

I got an INVITATION for TSW beta the past weekend! and I just login for 10 mins.... LOL

GW2 will absolutely kill SWTOR.
People who are playing that joke of a mmorpg are just looking for a way out.
This said GW2 is pretty much the only AAAAAAAAAAAA online game I haven't pre-ordered in awhile and I won't 8)
You too? I did the same thing Was really thinking i'd like TSW, DARN YOUUU ANET!
The "Youtube Pro": Someone who watches video's on said subject, and obviously has a full understanding of what is being said about such subject.
It will probably kill my boredom....
How can you kill something that is already dead?
Everyone needs to ignore posts that claim game X will kill WoW. It's old already and everyone knows it's BS.
My theme song.

Can't ask for more than that.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

Dear Op
sorry to tell ya but most folks don't care about the Ooo X will kill X or not threads
I have heard this before. AoC, WAR, ToR.

So games kill games. And GW2 just did it.
I just want it to be good I don't want it to kill anything since I'm an adult and i know what a real job is.
I too, really do not care if GW2 kill any other games at all.
All I want is GW2 to be a successfull MMO.
Hoping other MMO companies will follow Anet trend and innovate instead of becoming WOW clone.
Cos I can't stand WOW gameplay and questing anymore.
Pardon my English as it is not my 1st language
I'm selfish and don't care about anyone else but me. Guild Wars 2 killed WoW.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?
Maybe the makers of "kill" threads are thinking that the devs from ANet are going to go all ganstah and pop caps in the Bliz devs' assess, yo.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.
