Calling it now.
6 months after launch.
Guilds Wars 2 is fail because it has no open world pvp, has cash shop, has no full loot FFA pvp, uses real life cash for gems, it's a theme park mmo, Arch Age is going to be better, it's not a sandbox game, copying WoW, it sucks, no end game, I got bored of it, Devs don't know how to balance pvp, I don't think it was fun and my opinion is law, omg they nerfed my class, it's over rated, I just want to be cool by disliking a game people like, Char are a rip off of LOTRO, it's fail because I said so, the dynamic events are not dyanamic enough, it's a zerg fest, there are no healers, etc. etc.
_________
Yet I'm still going to play and enjoy it. Like I did with SWTOR, WoW, etc. etc.

OP was one of my favorite sources of entertainment on the SWTOR forums when i was a lurker.
Dunno why Im responding to this. This wont last long in the forums.
Funny thing about GW2 is that its all about box sales anyways; the one thing any MMO tends to get right. So just like GW1 people will say it did well since there is no player subs to track.
I love snails.
I love every kinda snail.
I just want to hug them all, but I cant.
Cant hug every snail.
sorry bro, but GW2 will sell millions and take over WoW's throne in 1 year. i call it right here and now.
[mod edit] about a game i am buying tomorrow? i remember asking if the in game community was as bad as the posters i see on every TSW forum, due to my experience with TERA being just as bad but that concern was laid to rest.
I'm calling it, GW2 will sell over 9000! copies.
First of all Gw2 Has WvWvW (you might want to look that up) wich is in my opinion way better than Open world PvP, i personaly dont like when im doing quests and some1 comes with High gear and pwns me, and let me remind you that you can play PvP at level 1!!
So in conlusion You sir dont know much about games
Roll the Dice
You sir, don't know much about mmorpg.com forums!
People actually taking this seriously...
/popcorn
This is entertaining and I'd like to see OP struggle to respond so please don't delete this thread.
Heh heh heh... good post OP. I love a good giggle in the morning. Internet satire is the best satire. It's funny to see most of the troll arguments jam packed into a single post.
+1 for troll humor!
Oderint, dum metuant.
Look, look. You got one!
6/10 OP. Nicely done.
I know this is a troll thread but im just going to state my opinion lolz
I only agree with you on no open world pvp, that is a big fail if you ask me. Anet does know how to balance, when i played it everything was balanced imo all i can say is gj anet. But ya no open world pvp is a big disappointment, they better add it because thats the best endgame...
how we know this post will fail:
obvious sign: bigger than normal letters, usualy a sign for missing content, needs to be bloated.
next hint: he knows what will happen in the future. he is not related to nostradamus. all other psychics failed hard lately.
i predict this post will be forgotten, maybe repeated and forgotton again and then being repeated for the next mmo and so on....
seriously, get a hobby ^^
trolling prediction posts in forums for example
"I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!"
fixed.
WOW: The Most Well Known Non-Free Non-Browser Client-Based 3D Fantasy MMORPG In Some Parts of the World.
My theme song.
How many people noticed his small letters with dark red which blends in with the dark grey background in the bottom of his post :P?
Arh ! you beat me to it xD
Your post is pretty funny, OP, but I'll give you one thing: Anet doesn't have a fucking clue how to balance skills for PVP. Play it or enjoy it all you want, it's going to be hell if you're a serious PVPer.
just a few apparently.
Do i need to read something else?
Aw man, there's always someone that feels the need to turn a comedic troll thread into a serious troll thread.
Oderint, dum metuant.
Sadly pvp lovers are a very minor subset of the people who play mmo's, even lower than those are the ones who like those ffa gankfest type mmo's, they tend to be the fat kids who were bullied in school so they gotta be d-bags in a mmo to feel good about themselves GW2 will faiul because to be blunt, its just another generic mmorpg at the core with the same shit we've seen and done in every other mmo released since wow. It will fail like swtor did, its just nothing unique at all, just another generic mmo, TSW was the same way.
Also story based mmo's like gw2, swtor and tsw fail because there is usually little do do after you finish the story, its why these types of mmo's have no retention, they also have very little replay value as well. TSW bombed it hardcore, 3 factions yet all 3 factions are shoveled thru the exact same zones, with the exact same missions, Making it pretty pointless to bother ever rolling another toon. TSW has alot of players now, But I suspect about 80% or so will quit after the first month ends due to lack of anything to do. The last mmo I have personally played that had decent endgame was dark age of camelot, you raid for gear in pve, then you can go pvp with it taking over castles, and the game had a alternate advancement system based on pvp. Now the MAIN point is, DAOC catered to BOTH endgame crowds, where as all the recent mmo's its either pvp only or pve only. I hit max level in wow then quit, because I seen 0 point to raiding for gear that serves no more purpose to me. I do not believe in gear based advancement for endgame, its to shallow.
Here is something you can ask a wowtard, i've never found one able to answer it yet: So you got all this uebr raid gear, what can you do with it now? and more raids do nto count. They usually cannot find 1 other use for it. Now if wow didn't seperate pvp and pve, you could take the raid gear into pvp and it'd give it a purpose, but blizzard is not that smart.
Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:
A. Proven right (if something bad happens)
or
B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)
Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!
I'm just here to watch fanbois melt, carry on.
Don't play it then. Imbalance actually matters to less than 5% of people who actively PvP and an almost non-existent percentage of the overall game population.
This genre in general is exceptionally difficult to sustain balance in, and Anet, Blizzard, Mystic, or anyone else you can think of who has tried have all failed to some extent. This is testament to the difficulty of the task, not the capability of the devs. The bottom line is, if you are one of the players good enough to understand imbalance, then you either exploit it or find a counter for it. If you are a casual PvPer complaining about imbalance, then you are probably just losing to better or smarter players. No one likes to lose, but someone always has to.
