WvsWvsW for me. Does it work? It did for Dark Age of Camelot, I never got bored with RvR.
GW2 wishes it had DAoC epic RvR system, but we will soon see how it compares.
Lol, alright there capn' hater.
Given how many people are going nuts over WvW, I think it'll be fine.

Likewise, I am going to stay away from the punch bowl and revisit GW2 3 months from now. Also I will wait when the hype dies down and truly see if this game is what is cracked up to be or just smoking mirrors by it's raving fan base. I played a fair share of the game in beta (31 game hours total), but not enough to give it a fair review at this point since I found myself creating characters at each beta weekend event.
I truly do hope this game is successful, but I guess we will find out soon enough.
And Teala, I tagged this post as well, I'm just curious if any of the fans posting on this thread feel the same way later.
I'm really, really excited about this game -- and rightly so, I've been in every beta and stress test event and I love the world and gameplay. But i find it just rediculous that people chant the company line "it's all endgame". Come on seriously people, use your brain. GW2 is shaping up to be an awesome, innovative MMO, but it's not going to magically be fun to repeat 1-80 content for a year.
I agree that WvWvW has potential, and the dungeons will probably keep us going for a few months, but quite honestly that team will need to be pretty damn busy coming with significant updates if they hope to retain a healthy population. Does it matter if it's not a sub game? Well, I work as a game developer at a large studio, and my past experience tells me that by now they have defintely made some profit/loss calculations based on what they expect to reap from that cash shop according to a certain population size, and that plus the initial sales figures will likely dictate the size of the team they can dedicate to the ongoing support and updates to the game, which will directly influence how much new and cool stuff we see in the future -- so population definitely does matter, subs or no subs.

ill pay you the 3 months I would of payed on the monthly sub if the game had one if i'm not still enjoying it in 3 months:)

In the past i have been hyped about various games , like AION , AOC , SWTOR and the list goes on and it all failed me miserably.
But this time after playing all the weekend betas and following the game around for a while , i trully believe this game is going to live up to my expectations .
And the answer why is very simple.
ANet delivered in this beta weekends exactly what they told me the game was going to be.
It is all in the game already so YES i think this time GW2 will be a success for me, like GW1 was in the past i still play that game from time to time.
Only difficult part for them is how to convince the masses that forcing u to grind raids for ever till next patch and over aggain is not fun , it is a full time job , and no thanks i already have a job that sucks the life out of me , my game has to be the fun part.

Actually it has all the other things other MMO´s have at max level, except there is no gear grind and raid size is equall to group size. And then it has more

Why some people think 80 is the end is a mystery to me though. At level 80 you still get XP, have an xp bar and get skillpoints, FOREVER. 80 isn't the end.

I think it still stands as an exsample on how many different things there is to do in this game , even if you can't see the endgame for the overwhealming amount of options there is in this game.
btw don't take the exsact numbers i come up with to serius, but just realise how they add up together.
It turns out every dungeon is still relevant--and every dungeon wing is drastically different, essentially making 32 unique dungeon experiences. There are suddenly several awesome looking gear sets I'll wish to pursue--all relevant to my level after being transmutated. The dye system is so ridiculously awesome in GW2; mixing and matching for the perfect look will in itself provide hours upon hours of content!
There will still be dozens of skill point challenges to hunt down as well has a lot of levels to be gained in pursuit of legendaries. You can do this by exploring zones you have yet to go through, which will undoubtedly be the case since there appear to be 3 completely distinct paths to 70, then the continual battles in Orr through 80 and beyond (and I do anticipate wanting to continue to participate in the battles for the thrones of the gods in Orr after I hit 80.)
I will always mix it up in structured pvp and WvW on the side. Mini games galore to add a fun change of pace (keg brawl was retardedly awesome for a side game in an MMO), and I've already spent more hours than I care to admit discovering and trying to make my way through jumping puzzles. Not only is there a puzzle to be found in every zone (something I doubted when I first heard about the puzzles), there are multiple in each zone!
One of the biggest perks of GW2's downleveling feature: every new bit of content added for any zone at any level will be relevant to my level 80! If they go ahead and patch in a new level 20 dungeon 6 months into the game, you bet your butt my level 80 will be interested. This extends throughout the life of the game. Ever wish revisit classic content after 3 expansions? In GW2 you will be able to! It will still provide relevant rewards and be challenging and every new player and every alt will continue to play through it! It doesn't suddenly become obsolete when new, higher level content is introduced.
I'm an altaholic by nature, but I'm suddenly concerned that I'll be spending too much time on my main that I won't be able to get to the other classes I want to play before the first expansion comes out...
Originally posted by otinanai123 You just dinged 80. You don't like leveling alts and want to finally experience GW2's endgame. What will keep you occupied for a whole year until the next expansion?
Other games. No, seriously. As excited as I am for a new release, I am also somewhat of a realist. I don't expect this game to keep me glued for twelve months. With a very few minor exceptions, no game has ever kept me playing non-stop for that long (and the only ones that did had a very slow leveling process).
Gamers needs to understand that GW2 is the first game that actually makes the whole game still relevant after you Ding 80.
Lets say that you have just spent 2 weeks leveling moving further and further away from your starting zone.
After level 80, you went back to the starting zone, and guess what, the mobs are still relevant, the DE are still relevant, because you are Deleveled and every mob you fight can still kill you if you aren't careful.
And lets say you decided not to create an ALT, so you are a Human, guess what, you can go to other Race's starting zones and do their DE and other quests. Why? because they still matter. You can still get karma, you can still experience everything that the game offers you.
Unlike other MMO's in the market, when you are max leveled, there is only the max level zones you can play in, in GW2, the whole world is your max level playing field. Sure with all your weapons and gear, even with Deleveling, you are still the strongest level 10 in that zone, but guess what, you are still just the strongest level 10, and not 80.
Thats also whats exciting for me in GW2, knowing that I can go back once I level my Main, and that the world still matters.
Life is a Maze, so make sure you bring your GPS incase you get lost in it.

Honestly though, D3 did a similar thing with their different difficulty levels. Don't you think people will get sick of those same zones only with a higher difficulty like they did with D3?

Have fun in whatever u plan to do.
Obviously you never played DAoC, the RvR (WvW) kept me occupied for around 3 years. More than any endgame has kept me in WoW.
And besides is it so FUCKING HARD to just PLAY THE FUCKING GAME!?

Who cares. lol at self importance.
Everyone talks about legendary weapons as being the best..
Mystic items are the highest tier and there has been no info on how they can be obtained.
I'd assume you get them from the Mystic Forge but it's not confirmed, confirmed you get legendaries from the mystic forge though (http://gw2.mmorpg-life.com/mystic-forge-and-mystic-vendor-in-the-guild-wars-2/870/).

Well balanced and fun PvP is all I need for endgame.
All PvE gets boring and stale eventually. PvP never gets boring if it is designed well.
The same reason I still play Marvel Vs Capcom 2 to this day, 12 years after its release.

Other than not having raiding and competitive pvp ladders (yet). Seems pretty typical endgame of an mmo nowadays...
Don't lie you've no intention of playing the game, anyone who will wait 3 months really isn't interested in the game.
Do you like any mmo's? with every new release you turn up and start posting negatively about that up and coming game. You obviously have an agenda.
