3. If your connection is good enough it wont be a problem, however it all depends on traffic / the wonders of the interwebs as to what ping you will get at any given time
Edit: GW2 IS Region Locked, see http://www.facebook.com/GuildWars2/posts/10150698525259209 but it limits where you can play FROM, not which servers you can play on. So if you have a US account, you cant play FROM the EU and vice versa

Stress test or whatever, this is a good game it needs more testing and i expect to see some problems still at launch like every other mmo, just dont overreact and know its a new game and there is no subscription so dont ragequit and expect to see what they said would be in the game and expect problems at launch which is no issue to me since I payed 60 bucks and I'm not paying a monthly subscription. I play it whenever I want to with no restrictions.

I think these stress tests are for Anet to try and pre-empt any of the inevitable launch day problems. On launch day servers will get overloaded and there will be login problems, as there are for any MMO launch, but by ANet doing these stress test hopefully the problems will be minimised.
IE I would prefer for the game to kick me out, or not let me log in for a little bit when the servers get overloaded, rather than the servers crashing and having to be taken offline for several hours to be restarted

so how does that work for newly pre-ordered accounts? I got mine last month and dunno how it works (my roomie allowed me a look or two while he was playing the BW3). So does this mean i can play without a hitch or extra registration?
