We will be conducting a Stress Test on Friday, August 10 from 4:00 PM PACIFIC Time to 8:00 PM PACIFIC Time.

We will be actively working on the game during the event, so you might experience connectivity problems or discover features that are not working as designed. Any issues you experience are a result of the rigorous conditions of the stress test, and are in no way representative of the state of the game at launch. By participating in this stress test, you’re helping us make Guild Wars 2 a better game. Thanks for your cooperation—we’ll see you in-game!"

    Every one of these are basically practice launches, and they've all been met with some mild instability/bugs thus far.  I'm glad they're very intent on working out all the kinks before launch.

    Besides being great to play again for a little while tomorrow, I think it's great they're still hammering on stability/performance as release approaches.

     

    The game still experiences a fair amount of hiccups and while they've diminished they are still present.   More tests like these can only mean good things for Aug 25th.

    i have to agree that I didn't expect one for tomarrow. Honestly though I wouldn't be surprized if they do one every Thursday til pre-purchase launch

    Maybe im missing something, but I live on the East Coast of US...and 4PM Pacific is 7PM here...so the test would be going from 7PM to 11PM here in Florida...

    Nice! First stress test I'll be able to attend. Will be able to see whether the game runs better on my rig compared to BWE3.

    Fiontar was saying that there is no sympathy for the UK not having an 'easy' hour to test today because on the 25th, (head start) the game starts at 3AM EST. 3AM EST is 8AM UK so UK gets a nice easy morning start time on THE important day. EST has the hard luck hours for THE day.

    On a different note, I figure due to anticipation, I'll be up by 4-4:30 so not terribly concerned about being at the opening bell. I'll go in the 2nd wave.

    And remember as an european you are NOT in a position to whine about the time.

    1) Its the 4'th stresstest, the first 3 have been perfect for you

    2) Most americans with job , or school have not had that luck.

    3) This is friday , you can stay up all night and get the GW2 fix anyway
