You all missed the joke in this thread's title. It left the gate as B2p/F2p, what do you think that RMT cash shop thing is? Sure they give you some free gems, first hit is always free. The next hit will cost ya. Listen they knew the quality of the product they are pushing, so they chose F2p from the get go rather than wait 4 or 6 months.

Action combat that is actually fluid and dynamic with inter-class combos is pretty revolutionary, there hasnt been another game on the market that matches it. TERA, Vindictus etc have action combat, but with animation locks and no inter-class combos. Chances are that you have only played the newbie area and not seen what an organised group can do.
Quest: Its still the same old thing, except now instead of number there is a bar that tells you when you get close to your goal. I hope its not the same over and over find new area > find the heart > kill, pick up, or follow until the bar is full until max level.
Once again, try actually leaving the newbie area. Heart quests are not the bread and butter of GW2. They are an introduction to dynamic events and act as guideposts while you are a newbie. Once you get a few levels these will become less frequent and you will have to find your own adventure with dynamic events.
Crafting: Again nothing revolution to go all crazy about
I don't think anyone ever claimed that crafting was revolutionary? Its functional and better than most other games, but not as good as some like Vanguard or olden days EQ2.
Mounts: Umm wait there are none
Once again, it is well known that this game doesn't have mounts. GW1 never had mounts. They arent necessary due to being able to teleport anywhere you want instantly once you have been there. Unless there is mounted combat I dont see the point of having a sparkle pony.
Events are fun but would hate to try this game in a month when there is nobody around in the starting zones.
Events scale to group size, so they will be just as fun and challenging by yourself as with 30 people.
Zones: feel very linear, very spoon fed, I also hope once you get to higher level areas there is more freedom to explore.

Personally i took a lot of time looking at the game, even played one beta, dont profess to be a sage on the game, have a lot of friends right now in game.
Its exactly the information ive experienced and what i continually hear and see that made me pass on this game.
I saw through the hype, i saw through the gimmick features.
I realized, as many will realize one the excitement of it being a new game wears out...this is just the latest reincarnation of the same old.
Its easy to attach positive buzzwords to every aspect of the game, especially during an overhyped launch when the majority of people are frothing at the mouth over the game.
Im just continually shocked every time one of these games launches with excessive hype and a super defensive community ont he forums. Its like every prior launch that happend the have the same exact expectations and early hype never took place and no one remembers what happend a few weeks after launch when reality set in. When people realized that this was just another some old game.
I really thought after SWTOR that this kind of nonsense would cease. People would realize whats going on and save the aggressive defense of a game untill after a month when many people have started experiencing endgame...a part of these games that always makes or breaks the game...usually breaking.
Two weeks from now not a single player is going to care how totally awesome launch week was and how great the game is your frist week or two in...people are going to care about its long term endgame.
Personally i think at this point people are going to want more than the same old pvp queues and zerg pvp, but what do i know ive only watched the same exact chain of event occur no less than 5 times. AoC,Aion,WAR,Rift,SWTOR just off the top of my head. Its like its groundhog day without bill murray.
So...i think your little comparison is way off base...people know about this game...its been hyped up here for a long time. Its always an amazing game when its fresh and new...but these games go stale fast, been proven over and over.

Especially since these people tend to really hate the game they last played...in this case SWTOR...people hate that game now...why repeate the same process that led you to really hate the last game you playe?
