Are you certain that Trion has not pursued any action in response to your reports?
I dont know if things have gotten better or worse, but I know there have been a few individuals that have acted so badly in level 50 chat that SoE or Blizzard would have suspended or outright banned them, and I know of reports that were made and yet day after day they were still there.
That said, I would like to emphasize the word few. A couple ignore list additions and all is solved.
I don't condone trolling or any kind of disrecpectful behavior, but really, but I'm guessing you are one of those people who just kept talking instead of letting it go.
Believe me, I know from experience, its better to just stop talking to them before things get out of hand.
I would not assume anything, this post was to inform consumers about an action that went on and on in Rfit.
Now we have people coming out of the woodwork, either wanting to know the particulars which they have no business knowing or people just trying to start a fight. Which is ironic considering this is about bullying in games. Rift was used since it happened and happens in Rift. The controls in place are not working, we have tried those.
People see what they want to see and some choose to ignore it, while others actually take a stance against it, which is a good thing.
I went in last nite again and the same old people are still doing the same old thing. So nothing really changes, except goign to a game that does not put up with this behavior and there are plenty out there.
So save your response, the fact you people continue to berate or attempt to take away from the fact only shows this community has a lot to learn still.
I suggest sticking to single player games, as MMOs seem to much for you. Ignore them, it's that simple.

Oh Trion bans people for misconduct all the time. A guildie was suspended 24 hours for logging on different characters to bug someone who ignored him.
Trion does not put up with trolls, but they need to be notified before they can act.

I'm sure a few slip through in every game from time to time.
I'm guessing that if/when a bully gets a "pass," it's because they weren't the only ones who were breaking the rules. There's two sides to every argument. I'm willing to bet that the "non-bullies" also said some hurtful things about the bully.
This is why I was interested in knowing what happened. Perhaps both parties in the incident broke the rules? Perhaps no one broke the rules? We don't know, because the OP refused to provide any information.
According to the OP, Trion is not taking action against bullies, yet he refuses to provide proof of this claim. I'm not going to blindly listen to an angry customer. Every company has angry customers...
The OP seems like an extremely sensitive individual, which you can see by reading some of his posts in this thread. I requested more details regarding the incident, and he twisted my requests into a vendetta against him. I mean no offense, but it's entirely possible that he misinterpreted the "bullies" words, and took it as an attack on himself. Without any information of what happened, we can't make that determination.
Moral of the story: screenshots or it didn't happen.
I hate bullies, mind you, and I've always kept my old-school respectful nature in MMORPGs.
With free server transfers and name changes provided by Trion, couple with the fact that if you directly seek action against said person with Trion's support, there are simple ways to make this all go away.
I am only speaking up because Rift is an amazing game with exceptional support.
And I hate seeing someone quitting a game they love because of an incident like this. You can instantly be on a new server with all new character names. They have provided these free tools, and have for over a year, to try and accomidate several issues.

This just seems insane to me.

Best of luck regardless in wherever you end up.
