Very few players will pay nothing per month, while most will pay at least $15 a month, but many will feel the need to pay much more.

we'll see; I've seen too many vapor trails and empty promises; I won't buy a game unless I try it first anymore. I've been seriously burned on too many pre-orders.

'Cause that is what all negative remarks on Roma Victor come down to... 'Bad graphics'.
Amen to that! This game's graphics is "good enough." Personally I don't care all that much about graphics, but as a game programmer I respect the time it takes to do it. Because of that people who base the "greatness" of a game solely on its graphics piss me so much! If you don't like the graphics, then make a graphics engine and sell it to them! A game is good only because its good, not that it looks good.

But part of it for me, you dont need the best graphics but just enough to make me feel like its real and imersive.. if i feel like im looking at retarted roman ppl and throw up all over the keyboard when i look at the textures thats not imursion lol
Well I myself know for a fact, that graphics in this game will not bother me. Its not because, I like the look of the game at the moment. I haven't even managed to get a hands on try with it yet. But I know previous games like WWII Online, and TES III Morrowind and TES Arena - the first one.....ok actually yes i hated the graphics in that game(yes the first one...crappiest graphics ever...cant even see anything clearly!), anyway I learnt I am not a person fussy about graphics.
Anyway, seeing the graphics of RV and comparing them to previous games I have played, I think I will settle into them and then not even get bothered. But its always good to hope they will improve which they said they will
I was a contest winner of rv, so i did get into beta, and I'm not sure i suppose to speak game features or not right now because of nda, so I'll just speak this way:
I will never play this game after release, not even for free. NEVER EVER......
I was also picked to play in the Beta and I pray that it improves dramatically by release date. I've played alot of Beta's and this is one of the few that I dropped after about 2 hours of playing. To look at still screenshots is one thing but to actually get in and play the beta is another. I hate to say it but the icky looking screenshots actually did the game justice. I'm not here to trash the game but give an honest opinion.
I'm hoping they dramatically improve RV as I'm a big time history buff and have been waiting for a historically accurate mmo.

If mechanics are done well enough, people won't pay as much attention to the graphics.
gameplay>graphics i think that's what they're aimin' for
