Great looking site, but I have to ask this question.  How secure is your web page, in this day and age hackers get ahold of our email addresses and personal information far too easily, even this site had their user files hacked a year or so ago.

I realize we can improve our security by using different email addresses/passwords to sign up with on websites, but just curious how well versed you are with security procedures to keep our PI safe.

How secure is our site - well thats a good question and to be honest, I really don´t know. What I can say, is that we are trying to use any advantage we have. Our forums already include several plugins to secure the informations and to protect us against any form for spam and bots and that doesn´t mean, that we aren´t working on additional safety measures.

But although we try to improve the security even more, we cannot guarantee it. If Facebook or even government-owned sites can be hacked, then of course we can too.

This is after all only a fanpage, Bracheer and I did set up to promote the game and build a community. We are certainly trying to keep your informations safe, but I would always advise against using any crucial informations on the internet - no matter what.

I can assure you though, that we don´t have any commercial contacts or desires to do anything inappropriate with the informations we get.

Although Camelot Unchained isn´t Dark Age of Camelot 2, it still does attract a lot of the old playerbase. DAoC actually had a very strong german fanbase and being german myself, we are thinking about to translate everything, so that we don´t miss out on those not capable of following the news in english. Every single player we reach is a potential backer and might be the last one needed to secure a successful kickstarter.

Since I´m already very busy with summaries, info gathering and translating our current content - we wanted to ask everyone out there, if someone is willing to join the team and to make sure we reach as many fans out there as possible? Mark already gave a lot of interviews and I´m pretty sure he is going to continue this path - so it is impossible for me to translate everything on my own.

If anyone is interested and fluent in german....let us know :)

Dark Age was very popular in Germany and these same fans supported us for Warhammer as well. FYI, we are currently creating German versions of our Kickstarter launch page because of the German fans' support in the past. :)

Thats a really good and wise decision, Mark. Nice to hear. Germany in general isn´t known for people with good english skills and I remember from DAoC how many of my fellow german players actually weren´t able to follow the news until someone translated it. So personally I think your effort with this german "Kickstarter launch page" won´t be a waste of time.

Just curious though - who´s the one in your team actually translating it? :D

LOL, nobody here, that's for sure. We're using a crowdsourcing translation site. I can pass on the info if you wish, send me an email if interested.

"Hey Mr. Wizard! How about an example or two?" Sure, easily done. Let's look at crafters for example. Our crafters will never have to worry about whether the gear that they make, the arrows that they fletch nor the ring that they forged in the fires of Mount Doom..., whoops, wrong game, sorry, being eclipsed by something that is dropped by a hummingbird, even if it is the "WORLD'S LARGEST HUMMINGBIRD THAT SHOOTS LASER BEAMS FROM ITS EYES."

lol, now you know you're going to have to add a huge hummingbird that shoots laser beams out of its eyes now...that would be so cool :)  Morgana's Hummingbird of Laser Beaming Doom!

Edit: Just one thing about the site, I like everything, except the color of the wording.  It can be hard to see being grey on white, but other than that it's very nice :)

Coming from someone who is investing a lot himself I really do appreciate the compliments. Makes it so much easier to continue the effort. Thank you very much.

We just uploaded a short summary in every game section for those lacking time or interest to browse through all of the official postings. It is still possible of course to check out the comments. Those will be kept up to date and any crucial information is going to be added to the summaries.

We will set up detailed section-sites as soon as we have enough informations. Right now it is impossible to explain everything in detail, because we simply lack the knowledge.

We are currently working hard on a new template for the forum as well as translating all content we got. So there will be some design changes soon and informations for the german speaking community too.
