I'd rather they keep the armor like it was in DAOC. I'm a female but I don't like walking around with my avatar shaking boobies and a$# all over the place when I'm attacking someone. I mean hey the guys aren't scantily clad with their junk swinging about why should my avatars? I want her to look intimidating and beautiful, rough and tough just like it was in DAOC. If a game has overly stupid armor for my female avatars, I usually just pass that game up. It's rediculously stupid, and men that play those female avatars just to stare at a video game a#$ need to get a real woman for goodness sake, it's incredibly sad and pathetic.
Most mmo's that dress their female in that s$%^*@ armor suck anyways, trying to at least pull in the teen crowd, and pathetic shut in fellas, I guess.
I hope you, as a man, wear skirts in real life to back up your argument.
I sure do;

Wouldn't be amazing to you if you had a boss, coworker, kid, or significant other who walked past your screen and glanced over to see these ads. You might have some explaining to do lol.
Rather not do any explaining...
PC is in my living room, i did have to explain to my wife that its actually adverts for an online game.. and not something else.. trouble is, im not sure she isnt wrong in what she's thinking
I couldn't care less about Scarlet Blade, but those ads are far from being porn. Besides, I bet none of you would be complaining if those where violent ads instead. Are you afraid of the human body or something?

I personally don't mind them. Heck, even if they were more hardcore I wouldn't "mind" them.
However, since my job is being a paper pusher and I can freely read posts at work between "pushin'", it's more difficult to read this site at work.
This site has suddenly become NSFW.
At least where I work.
Seconded Sovrath. I don't mind them, but I really do mind this site becoming NSFW all of a sudden with no consideration to the many of us that browse and post from work.
By all means make money where you can mmorpg.com, but give us some kind of notice/option or whatever.

As a Capitalist-Libertarian-father, I support anyones right to get cash for ads, make any type of game they want, and I ferrvently support MY right to not buy said game, or frequent said site, or any other example.
Me, you, or anyone else does NOT have, in my opinion, have any other right except that of "going away" when it comes to others behavior.
This constant attitude of "I don't like what you are doing, so I want you to change it, and I can still continue to come to your site." is crap.

No, but I have my own allotted time for appreciating the human body and other explicit material. I come here to read about games, not to oggle at hentai bits.

i really think your missing the point here.
F2P may be the way of the future, but ya know they dont make them like they used to Proper Grammer & spelling are extra, corrections will be LOL at.
I've been visiting this site a lot less since I've been showered with these sexual ads.
I have a wife and kids, and all these booby ads make it look like a porno site unless you actually come read and you see it's a gaming site dressed as a porno site.
I LOL'D
Seriously blood and gore is okay, but sexually provocative screenshots are not okay. Simply pay attention to what it is you want to read/see on this website, all should be well.
Sure it's hard to not see those adds but seriously the game is getting allot of attention regardless thanks to topics like this, geuss their marketing devision is pretty good at it so it seems with new topics about the same subjuct daily.

First I read that as Capitalist-Librarian-father and I though to myself "what's a Capitlist Librarian mean?"
Secondly, though I agree with you, allow me to play devil's advocate.
Mmorpg.com, being a business, wants to attract as many people as possible in order to:
A, be a competitive major game site and
B, have more people looking at the ads they sell. This means that more companies are going to want to place ads here. or at least, in the service providers that probably get these ads and place them based on demographics and numbers of views that a website gets.
if mmorpg.com loses a certain amount of views because of the advertising then they are in a sense making it so that they are not an attractive place to have advertisements. Therefore less money.
Like I said, I have no issues with the ads and have no issues with them being even more hardcore. But it will mean that I will have to only visit the site at home (perfectly acceptable) and that's less views that they are getting from me. Others as well.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
I think it's extremely sad that blatant objectification of women is still acceptable to so many people. I hope this game fails in a truly epic fashion simply for how shallow its marketing and target demographic are. Odds are the game itself will be total shit as well.
Back on topic, it is nigh-impossible that CU will feature slutty armor. Optional townclothes? Maybe, but not armor.
That's the kind of thing publishers worried about appealing to multiple, broad (pardon the pun) demographics do. Since CSE has no such publisher pressuring them, I think we are ok.
Not that I personally care either way. I just know a lot of people do. /shrug
Just add filter in some advanced ad-blocker to cut out these pics. Personally, I dont mind site owners getting money even for poorly made ads, but if it bothers you so much...
For example, in Proxomitron you can use filter for

Maturity should be juged by more than just age.
It is simple really.

Then again, those ads are nothing like the explicit material you're talking about. Hell, they're not even as explicit as this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/47/La_nascita_di_Venere_%28Botticelli%29.jpg (relax guys, it's art) I could bring some more examples to the table, but I'm affraid those would get me banned :P

You know, companies monitor network activity. So, if their boss really cares about them goin to gaming sites, its probably already too late for them.

That actually depends on the company.
My company has no problem with people perusing such sites provided they excel at their jobs.
Then again, we do very well in our field and have air hockey and foosball tables in our beautiful kitchen that looks like a pub.
And a wii.
And a bean bag room for that matter.

Why would you compare Renaissance art to this?
I don't consider the graphics of Scarlet Blade art. They are marketing tools.
That sounds awesome lol. Always nice to have a nice work environment. Makes a big difference.

Art is art. You think that classic painting isnt promoting something? You're wrong.
