Folks,
The bad news is that Kickstarter campaign for Camelot Unchained is not going to start today. The good news is that our project is currently in review. As soon as Kickstarter approves our project, we will announce the official Kickstarter launch date. We have no reason to expect that it won’t be approved next week but our project is rather “complicated” as there are a ton of moving parts, including 30 very detailed reward tiers, all the individual rewards, Founder’s Exchange (the store), etc. Due to that complexity, the holiday and the typical studio issues of weather/illness/CPU going boom/etc., it took us just a little bit longer than we thought it would to put it all together so please accept our apologies for this brief delay.
We are going to take advantage of this “downtime” to post material from the campaign, starting with our pledge tiers. Our plan is to break up the tiers into multiple blog posts with the first part going up, on our brand new website, later today.
We will let you know the Kickstarter campaign’s starting date after our project is approved. Again, sorry for the brief delay but when you see our Kickstarter presentation next week, I hope you will agree that it was worth waiting for, even if the wait is just a wee bit longer than expected.

As per the post, it just took a little while longer to get some things done with our first Kickstarter. When we first announced the launch date, well, we thought we had plenty of time. Unfortunately, as a studio with an open office floorplan, when one person gets sick, that tends to take out some other folks. Between that, couple days lost due to weather and truly our lead concept artist CPU getting fried at the 11th hour, we just missed the typical deadline (1-2 days) to get approval (especially over a holiday weekend). Another reason was that I probably did go a bit overboard on our pledge tiers/Founder's Points stuff but we had so many good things I wanted to put in the tiers/Founder's Exchange (store) and I wanted to thank the community so much for its help so...
The good news is that it did go into review process and we've had a couple of dozen people looking at it that I think you'll like what you see when the campaign begins. And as per my post, I'm going to post a new blog on the pledge tiers.
Again, sorry for the delay.

Kick ass! Thanks for the update.
I'd do the kickstarter tuesday if I were you, seems like starting up in a weekday generates a bit more buzz because of news sites and such who are inactive in weekends. And the first day is important, after all, again generating even more press if you do good (which you will )
ALREADY DELAYS !! Stop...I jest :P
thanks for the heads up!

If people can't understand that this is the real world and things happen then all is lost. Thank you for keeping communication open and letting us know what is happening. It makes sense that they along with the holiday would want to review everything to make sure it is launched seamlessly. If you are going to do something, do it right the first time.
Thanks again!
lol so true.

That was my thought too but I asked our intrepid and dangerous Anna a few weeks ago to put together a list of all the top KS projects and break them down by day launched. Apparently, the day of the week that the successes launched had nothing to do with a project's success. Yeah, runs counter to prevailing PR/marketing wisdom but there it is.
You're welcome.
You're welcome.
LOL, no worries. We were late so if I can't take a joke now...
I know but I feel awful that we "missed it by that much" when the team worked so hard and we came so close. The at team really went above and beyond to get everything that we needed done, even at 3AM EST and I am so very proud of them.

Again, really sorry all.

My wife is still laughing I want to drop so much cash on this game. She asked me if it came with another ring for her. I had to regretfully tell her --- 'not that I know of'. I didnt want to go with a full 'no' as MJ & Co. may have a surprise mythical ring in there (which she probably won't want anyways).
