Because I want to know wether to get this or try more TSW. And player population is important to me. image

All the US servers are Heavy, very Heavy and full at primetime everysingle day of the week.

But what is heavy in other mmorpg's may not be the same as in SWTOR.

In WOW a server can have many thousands and be medium, in SWTOR 200 people on a server is considered heavy.

Heavy means nothing in SWTOR , because comparing it to other mmorpgs heavy in SWTOR is small in games like WOW.

"Don't assume, when you assume, you make an a hole out of yourself "

    Do not troll please.

The servers can take up 10000 people simultaniously +-  each, when it's full it's full. If you log in now, there'll be more than a thousand on at the VERY LEAST per server.

I just kind of want SWTOR to go away... so another company could hopefully take on the challenge of building the Star Wars mmo fans want.

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

If you are going to paraphrase, do not use quotations.

    The quote is:

"Never ASSUME, because when you ASSUME, you make an ASS of U and ME."

and it was first used by Jerry Belson on the Odd Couple.

Your version doesn't even make sense.

Returned few weeks back to my top game of all times and I find is great as it was when I left after 7 to 8 months of constant gameplay. Not even wow or gw2 can keep me for so long in one shot.

Barely can wait expansion going live but still truth is it is not what I have been expecting. It's feels more some kind of mini expansion pack. I'm sorry for this but intend to enjoy in full.

Btw, failure? Depend what somebody mean with this word. For sure retention of players is far from what they have hoped for, but still as I remember is 2nd only to wow regarding sub numbers. Far below gorilla, but still.

Well I realy  can't relate to most of the critics here. I like the game actually I love the game. Just do not have much time to play. I have 3 favrot MMO's (Eve: Online, LOTRO and SWTOR). What I miss at Star Wars is an open Sandbox kind of world & Space. A Region that the desicion of the players have direct effect. but a World that does no have influence in the Story line of Star Wars as such. And the crafting is to easy in my few... I miss the special loots the realy rare stuff. And the Space aspect of the game needs to be open space...But other then that I have no complaints. I truly like the game eventhough I am no big fan of EA anymore. Heck look at the crap and ripoff they done with the new Sim City.

According to these forums every MMO sucks, don't take what people say here to your heart. Play what you like and enjoy.

Who do you think are more happy? people who are playing MMOS and enjoying themselves or those who come here daily to complain and tear down every game in existence .

    EXACTLY!

You know it, in fact like most things people that are happy with a product are the ones you never hear from or at least rarely, a lot of folks seem to jump on the hate wagon because they think it is cool, and really don't know what it makes them look like but cool is not one of them.

I played Tor for the last year, I just unsubbed, the game just does not have enough meat on the bones for me, I had fun while I was there, and will keep an eye on it down the road. Parting ways with no regrets. :)

Servers say Full? Heavy? Medium? Light? and what does that mean compared to other games? who cares...I only give a shit about the game I'm logged into at the time.

When i'm logged into (one of ) MY SERVER (s)... Do I see people running about on all planets? Yes. Even more then before F2P? Yes. Can I find help or groups whenever I need and in short order? Yes.

Do I care how many servers were there at launch and how many are now active as long as all my gaming requirements are met? NO

2 million new members in a F2P just means 500K ppl made four new accounts to keep from having to buy character slots.  SWTOR is a good game but i never understood the reason behind having to wait just to log into the game.  i've been playing perfect world and other F2Ps since 06 and never once had to wait on a server.  this was kinda surprising to me and when they consolidated servers, it went from only 10 people online to not being able to log in. one extreme to the other.

as far as money... IF 2.4 million bought the game, at the conservative price of $50 USD, that's $120M easily... and  we know there were a lot of ppl who bought the collector's edition.   not too bad for a game's opening.  even if the subs dropped down to 400K members at $15 , that's still $6M a month or $72M per yr.  at this price, i would expect more and better content... and since i'm a quester,  PVP content doesn't work  for me.

now... what i DON'T get is WHY isn't the sub only $5 USD/month?  that's still $2M a month and $24M a yr but at that rate, if someone doesn't play, it's no big deal.  it's ONLY $5.  one of the posts sites the cost of voice talent...  in my opinion, if they paid a dollar for some of these 'talents',  EA was ripped off.  it's Star Wars, damnit.

makes you wonder where these Einsteins in marketing learn their jobs from?

before y'all get all pissified, i'm not hating the game.  i'm just dissatisfied with the direction the managers took.  i loved the game from the first beta i was invited to back in the October before it released.  there's nothing like a good game to make you hold your breath until the next moment you  get to play it again.   that's what's missing right now.  there are other games out there creating that excitement.... i.e. FireFall and Neverwinter .  honestly, i haven't played this game in a long while since it was too boring.  it's just lacking.  but...  i just updated the client last week and will give it another try... albeit, not as a subscriber.
