Putting money down on a game you know is backed and funded I get and your cash means you get a copy of the game. Putting money down on a game even a bank wont support seems crazy to me. Do you even get a copy of the game for kickstarting CU? If you do thats both a bad and a good thing. If they do, at least you may get something for your money but then the game you kickstarted is behind the 8 ball when it launches as thats money they dont earn at launch. They have not even proved they know how to manage the money everyone is giving them. Banks do that when they invest this much money. Are we this desperate for a new game? Hope your investment turns out well for your all but this seems so crazy.
It took most of my self control to not go on a flame spree at your expense here. Do you even know how Kickstarter works? First off, you never actually pay the money unless the game IS funded 100% for sure. Second, what makes you think a bank wouldn't support it? They are going the Kickstarter route for a reason, and if you followed the game at all you would know this. It's so they can build the game they want without any big publisher breathing down their neck to make dumb changes.
Also, this is not some no-name team of rookies here. This is a team of established professionals in the game making business. Kickstarter is a wonderful thing for the world of games, and you should really learn how it works and what it's about before you start posting about how crazy it is. And of course you get a copy of the game, among many other things. We are not just throwing money at them for no reason, although I believe in this game and the team behind it so I probably would pay much more than the price of the game with or without rewards.
P.S. It's still kind of your fault if you get some rudeness, because you posted basically calling us crazy for backing this game when you obviously haven't even attempted to read up on it.
It's really a bummer we can only pledge 1 tier, i would have pledged another 350 bucks if i got the Hero Forever package on top of the IT tier as well.
We can always pledge more then what the tier requires but without much to show for it i personally can only bump my pledge up another 100 bucks past the IT requirement if it came to that.
The first wave that already got it up to 400k out of 2 M I'd say are the diehard people been excited to back the kickstarter as soon as it went live.
We'll see another big wave tonight as people get home from work / school / whatever they do all day. They'll have free time to hop on the internet before bed, play games, and back CU before bed. Seeing as how we'll probably hit 500k before I even leave work, I think it's entirely possible we hit 1 M tonight.
The next big wave will be the weekend. I very nearly delayed my donation until the weekend because this week is crazy for me. People will have a lot more free time this weekend to spread the word, look into it, and donate. I could entirely see it hitting 1.5 M if not 2 M by the end of the weekend.
So to me, the rest of the month after that will all be stretch goals LOL.
I don't think I'm being overly optimistic either. I've been watching it's progress all day, and going wow it's doing this well, even with people at work/school/other?

I really hope you right! It realy would help if they offer some fluff like capes and guildemblems and stuff for some extra cash so we can up our pledge.

I dont know about that. Most of the diehards have probably already pledged, so its going to quickly slow down. I doubt it will hit 1M tonight, maybe at the end of the weekend. If we're lucky it will hit 1.5M by the end of next week and the rest will be a long stretch.
I really, really hope I'm wrong though and it hits the goal of 2M easily.

Have you ever heard of a pre-order? Every game company out there tries to get money up front. The reason to do it through KS is to cut the publishers like EA and Sony out. You only get charged if the game gets funded.
Also have you played SWTOR, Tera, Secret World and the hundred other games that fit your model of game development?
The publisher wants to go for a mass market trying by trying to please everybody and end up losing a huge chunk of their players after the first 30 days because they have no content, or it just plain sucks. Then they go free2play which basically means they ripped off everyone who paid a box price.

There will be even more once we can buy more Founder's Points. Hopefully, that will be up tomorrow.
Yah, I"m interested to see what will happen once the early rush stops. I'm assuming many of those that had been following it closely will fund it quickly, but could be wrong. I'm quite pleased at where it has gotten to so far though!

In a moment of weakness I pitched in for the island. I better have a big guild.
Sornin do usually start a guild in the games you play?
I have not played an MMORPG seriously in a few years. I do not always found and run guilds in games I play, but I have both founded and run them before. I have been out of the "scene" for some time, now, and will likely found and run a guild for Camelot Unchained that is completely new. The only thing I am fairly certain of is it will be Arthurian.
