I'm committed to Rift, back to it since it's going F2P. I was playing Tera but it's not sooooo cool. I love Rift and the only problem the game has, in my opinion, was the low player numbers, which I believe will change a lot on 12th june when it goes F2P
Well I've been playing Darkfall Unholy Wars for oh five days now, which is five times as long as most any MMO I've been playing this year... Reinstalled EVE and Rift today, see what that does for me.
I have been active and playing daily for the past year, am still enjoying playing, but am on the cusp of taking a sanity break. Barring a sudden change of mind, I will be officially between games in three days.

But you're visiting on an MMO website?
Just because some of us aren't committed to an MMO for whatever reasons doesn't mean we aren't interested in keeping up with the news on MMOs in case one does catch our eye or that we can't share our opinion on current and past MMOs.Our opinion is just as valid as anyone else's.

kind of like just because you break up with a woman doesn't mean you have to stop watching her while she sleeps.

I'd say I frequent this site way more than I log into a game. In fact I have a WOW and swtor sub going right now and instead im watching netflix and reding forum posts..

well if you think your relationship with a game is the same as a relationship with another human being....
More like liking a form of music but not liking it's current generation of iteration but still interested in what may come and what was past.
I try all the new ones when they come out: Scarlet Blade, Neverwinter, Pirates, Planetside 2, Escol, Anno, Star Trek.... On and on, But I'm waiting for FF Reborn too!
I feel like my mmo experience crested at Aion. Don't knock it, I really liked the game 3 years ago. I like Asian grinders, But I Loved that I logged in just to see what my guild was up to. Of course these relationships took time to build and I haven't invested a significant time in and mmo's since, But most mmo's since haven't required me to get support to do things. (THAT old story)
I played SW and Tera and GW2 and enjoyed them but ran into lack of content with months of waiting ahead of me, whereas in Aion I had my homies to keep me occupied that just hasn't been the case since.
No I do believe like others that my attention span for mmo's has shrunken to that of a 5 year old, But I haven't bonded with my guilds in any game since then. And yet I also feel there hasn't been a reason for people to reach out and cooperate to play a game. (excluding raids.....which these days u can pug......... gulp.)
So I'll continue to channel surf mmo's till FF reborn comes out and it is my prayer that I find some friends that give me more to look forward to than just some raids or "hi, hello"
I guess you could say my mmo atm, and for the past week is Kings and Legends, a CCG, but thats mostly so I'm not burnt out on grinding ripoff mmos so i can go hardcore with FF.
Are they? How valid are my opinions about a game I've never actually played? How valid is my opinion of what makes a good story if I say I don't enjoy story-based games?
By tradition, when I only let myself post in a game's forums while I'm active in that game just in case I have a sudden attack of bitter vet syndrome that would spoil the mood for people still having fun. I find myself wondering if, in taking a short break from playing any MMOs, whether I should also take a break from posting here? So it's interesting to me to see what other people think about their own reasons for hanging around an MMO board while not playing MMOs.
Nothing atm. Been tempted to jump back into some older games like Ultima Online and EQ/EQ2.
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
I gotta go with muffins too. I'm playing Defiance, but I don't see it as a long term commitment. Not a bad game or anything, but it's just a time killer.
Nothing committed. Playing Guild Wars 2 steadily but wouldn't say I'm committed. It's fun, just isn't drawing me in like I'm looking for.
Played: EQ1 (10 Years), Guild Wars, Rift, TERA Tried: EQ2, Vanguard, Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Runes of Magic and countless others... Currently Playing: GW2

I seriously hope people don't read these threads to get peoples opinions on games. You could sum up this sites opinion on every game out there in two words. It sucks.
Any opinion is valid here because nothing anyone ever talks about here really matters to the mmo industry or people who actually want to find a new mmo....I hope. This site is good for a laugh and it does have some interesting topics but I sure wouldn't trust anyones opinion on an mmo if it comes from here.

If you look at my join date and my low post count compared to most with similar join dates you will see I have taken long breaks from posting here I go in and out of being active here simply because what is being discussed during those periods doesn't interest me.
All opinions are valid in a public forum, they may not be factually correct or sane but they are certainly allowed to be stated.I personally do not post on games that I have not tried unless of course they are unreleased and I am not under an NDA by being a tester.
But not all topics are game specific and if you have played a game in the past and are no longer playing you can certainly post your feelings on the game and your experiences with it back then.
I play GW2 regularly, but I don't know if I'd call myself committed to it. It's a great game, but I often take breaks for single-player games and real life
No games atm. I am playing VNs while I pre-order FFXIV. I wish I could dedicate myself to a game but I haven't found the "one" so I often jump around, hopefully FFXIV can make me fall in love.

You should add a poll with the options "Yes", "No" and "Muffins".
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
I'm committed to FFXIV: A Realm Reborn.
Nothing else comes close.

I play Neverwinter and GW2 extremely casually. Maybe a handful of hours per week on both.
