I picked a female character in a game called TERA and as I was running I could see up the girls dress .
It felt so wrong because it appeared this girl was like 12 -13 . I had to delete the character and start over .
So I understand what you mean . If the characters were older women 18+ then I would have no problem with them

That was happening loooooong before there was even any talk of legalization, heard of stories locally about brownies and kids, and let's not get into the kids getting into bath salts and meth that's occurred as well. As is typical people are latching onto it now and making it a 'global news' issue because said legalization is actually occurring.
This same type of thing is happening with your so called 'kiddy sex getting more tolerated'. It's not new, it's not happening more frequently because you see it reported more often.
If more people learned the difference between actual real evidence and anecdotal evidence we'd have a much more rational society.
TLDR: The logic you're espousing is why we as a society can't have nice things.

I think it's very interesting how people act/react to this stuff.
In your situation I would have assumed the character was an "adult' and would never have thought to actively look up the skirt. Not saying "I'm better" but it would never have registered.
I suppose it's the same for people who can only play a character of the same sex because if they were to play a character of a different sex they somehow feel that the character represents them and they are thus representing themsevles as "the opposit sex".
As opposed to "it's just a character".
As far as the earlier "pixel" argument, that is a silly argument. Sexuality has been depicted looooooooooooooonnnnnng before the camera.
Sexuality is in one's mind. You can have a picture of a naked person and have it be very un-sexual. You can have a picture of a clothed person and have it be very erotic/sexual.

It's a thing typical from japanese culture, they have some kind of "weakness" for very young girls.
Do you know, the typical blonde with enormous tits, red tight dress, that looks like a total slut that you can see so much in western media (specially in USA)? Well, for japanese men a 15 years old girl in a uniform school is the exact equivalent of that blonde woman.
What i'm tellig is a generalization and it's probably exaggerated, but you know, it's something in those lines.
Even so, it's just fantasy, and most of us don't give 2 shits about things like this, amongst other things because it's very overused. It's not even surprising anymore.

What's really going on is a very normal adult is seeing big boobs and they have the very normal reaction to them. Then you see that they're on a child and they have the very normal reaction that children are not something you think sexually about. The very impossable image is confusing to our sences and people lash out.
Watching people struggle with this is funny for a while but once they start throwing around the doom and gloom judgemnts the funny tends to end.
I can identfy with people who consider their characters "them" so wont play the opposite sex or people who want to look at something nice while they play and never consider that character as anything more than just a vessel for holding loot. I can't however identify with people who make this a holy crusade and the axis of all evil on earth.

I always find posts like this fascinating. First there is the complete misuse of the term pedophile. Which means being attracted to prepubescent girls. Since the average girl has her period at 10 years old, that would me some vague reference to that time period.
I wonder what physical markers people use to determine what age an animated female looks to be. For example, large breasts (something specifically mentioned) are usually a sign of adulthood in females. As are wide hips, and higher levels of muscle tone.
Anime styleings tend to make both male and female characters look childish after a fashion. But that's just art style.
Then there is the utter insanity of attacking men for being attracted to 16-20 year old women regardless of there own age. People do realize that those are the prime child bearing years for women right? That those are the years women can have children with the fewest complications for both mother and daughter?
I know a great many aging women hate the youth obsessed nature of female sexual valuation but posts like this just seem childish and absurd to me.

They're not sexualizing 12 year olds. They don't even look that young to me, maybe mid to late teens, but then again a lot of asian women look younger than they are. Friend of mine at 25 looked like she was 15, and was not trying for that. I had to ask for a woman's ID to see if she was 18 yet and she was in her 30s.
A lot of my female asian friends look quite a bit younger than they are, and the few that are into cosplay, well, once they dress up, they look just like mmo avatars and anime characters.
I mean what are you going to tell them. "I'm sorry but I find you offensive because your great genetics make you look too damn young for my taste and may be tempting other people, even though you're at a perfectly legal age." lol
I think u just explained the whole problem here, JEALOUS PREHISTORIC AGED WESTERN CRONES, who are so mad that asian girls look 15 when they're 15, 25, 35 sometimes even when they're 45 AHAHAHHA, and those crones looked like they were 35 when they were 15 and like they were 55 when they were 25, cause of over-usage of makeup, bad diet bad food, lack of exercise, and shitty genetics :P
