The saddest part, is some of these people actually think the government wants to watch you. Ya, they want to watch you play video games, eat pizza, and fart.
i'm glad the US government wants to watch me be awesome at video games, get laid and all the other things i'll eventually do infront of my xbox one, then they can realise how much more amazing i am then them.. it will make them sad and depressed and they will crumble into ruins... win / win if you ask me
Edit - i'd actually be disappointed now if they werent spending stupid amounts on money watching me!

lol right? Every time the "big brother is watching you" stuff comes up I say "go ahead! I have nothing to hide".

exactly.. that and the "always connected to the internet" seriously, if you have that much trouble with your internet that it's down for longer then 24 hours at a time, you have much bigger concerns then PS4 or xbox one... seriously, get your net fixed it's an issue and the argument is draining my soul...
the whole used games thing isnt finalized yet and microsoft tends to listen to the masses when it comes to billions of dollars they could potentially loose, but honestly like i care, i dont trade my games, i dont lend them out... people tend to not care so much about property that isnt theirs and i like my things kept in pristine condition...
i like the fact i'll be able to stream and use twitch while i'm playing games... i like the fact that if i get bored i can jump instantly into a movie i was watching and jump back to the game if i feel the need, seamlessly and instantly, i like that i can skype with friends while playing games and have no need to wear a headset anymore... it's all convienience and all the negatives people are pointing out actually make me wonder, why are you so scared that the camera is watching.
i actually hope they announce premium bundles like they did in aus for the xbox 360, i got my console, extra control, 1 year of gold live and like 4 launch titles for $950 or something, i would happily drop another $900 if i could get the system, extra control year of gold and a few launch titles because to me it's worth it and none of the things people are complaining about are a real problem to me...
as far as the PS4 is more powerful argument, sorry but it really isnt.... the fact that the graphics processing power in realtime is basically on par with each other and the xbox can still seamlessly run background processes and programs and switch between it all instantly is actually miles ahead of PS4 and also, the fact that microsoft's demos actually run at 60fps as advertised and looked amazing.. compared to Ps4 looking like it was about to die and having some serious frame issues going on near the end of some demos.. makes me feel like the hardware isnt as pro as all the PS4 fans keep going on about...
my money is once again on xbox one although i'll end up having both consoles anyway.

really don't understand how you managed to misinterpret the Xbox 1 as somehow being more powerful than the PS4 now, the facts have been out now for quite a while, the GPU on the PS4 is around 50% more powerful than the one in the Xbox 1 and the system ram in the PS4 is DDR 5 vs DDR3, not only that, but of the 8gb of ram the Xbox 1 has, only 5gb of it is available for games. After E3 the case for buying an Xbox 1 died a significant death, Sony absolutely pwned Microsoft and if anyone actually buys the Xbox 1 now i would be surprised.
As for the privacy issue regarding the Xbox 1, if it can be used to do something, it will be used. And if anyone had any doubts about that, just remember what happened recently involving the NSA.

Phry, I agree with you, but I am European. Recent polls show that even after the Edward snowden interview, which many Americans have not even seen a majority of Americans still think that its fine that the US government stores any and all communication they have on any medium.
As for the argument of "I have nothing to hide go ahead". Edward snowden has a very good insight on why that is a very stupid attitude to have. He has seen first hand that people who just happen to come under suspicion from the US government can have all the data they have ever submitted be it by phone, Skype, email, Internet surfing, Facebook, concert ticket, planeticket, and so on retroactivily investigated to possibly make you look guilty if thats what they want.
This ladies and gentlemen is unnacceptable behaviour from a government and it is happening right now, no conspiracy, no stories... its been going on for years.
With the attitude that Americans seem to have regarding privacy policies im sure Xboxone will do great.

i never said more powerful except when it comes to multitasking and such... graphic processing power regardless of how you wanna say GDDR5 VS 3, they are still on par with each other and as for the demo's at E3 xbox one was far more stable and fluid then the PS4, you need to take into account timings n such on the ram also, just because one has 5 doesnt make it better when it's higher latency etc... the ingame demos of both systems looked on par but the xbox one performed better with less issues
Edit - i know at least 4 personal friends who have already ordered a xbox one, i know at like 8 gaming buddies that have preordered one.. but most of us will get both systems anyway, xbox is doing fine.. so dont stress

Most people are only interested in playing games on those consoles. Multitasking between OS and game like on a pc, is ridulous to have on a console if you are not interested in the online internet and tv crap. For this PS4 is simply the better out of 2. Microsoft also doesn't seem to realise how they made their potential market smaller, because a lot of the services they want to offer next to gaming, simply won't work in large parts of the world outside of the US. Add to that, the PS4 is cheaper.
It is possible that Xbox One will become more popular then PS4 in the US. But outside the US, I highly doubt it.

But it's funny that CD Projekt Red, a polish company, was at the Microsoft E3 conference and Poland isn't even supported.

again in the demo the games performed better on "one" then on PS4, it's your opinion that people arent interested in internet and streaming and all the rest of it... just because the vocal minority has cried out with all the conspiracy theory nonsense, doesnt mean that the majority of people arent still interested in xbox one or vice versa for that matter...

LOL thats a very short list..
XBOX One: 21 countries (not in Japan)
PS4: All
XBOX One: Region LOCKED
PS4: Region FREE
I rest my case.

I don't know if you realize this, but you are the one that was saying the used game thing isn't finalized and asserting that Microsoft tends to listen to the masses. They never said that Sony gives a fuck about anyone. However, we already know PS4's stance on used games and it's very consumer friendly.

Slightly confused here, you now saying that Microsoft does not care about customers? IT was you saying that microsoft listens to the masses. Now they don't listen just like Sony?
What does Sony caring about me have to do with Microsoft listening to the masses? Are you trying to say that if Sony would not care about me personally then it would be OK for Microsoft to not care about the masses?
Maybe you are trying to say that its fine to do bad things when others do bad things. I am afraid to tell you, but that is not true. It's still a bad thing, you see. If bad people do bad things you can not do bad things. It makes you a naughty boy/girl.
Cheers
PS: Besides the fact that i don't really know if Sony cares about me, question is, do i care if they do? Not really...

Sony has confirmed THEY will not lock games on a hardware level, but the publisher has the right to impose hardware / software restrictions on a DRM level on their software...

I think you are misinformed because that is exactly how it works right now on all consoles.
Difference is that Microsoft has put in hardware locks, Sony did not. (**for the next generation)

microsoft has also said they are looking into ways of trading games, like there might be a built in system for selling the rights to your game digitally, nothing is set in stone at this point and it's all been quite vague about what the actual case is

exactly.. that and the "always connected to the internet" seriously, if you have that much trouble with your internet that it's down for longer then 24 hours at a time, you have much bigger concerns then PS4 or xbox one... seriously, get your net fixed it's an issue and the argument is draining my soul...
the whole used games thing isnt finalized yet and microsoft tends to listen to the masses when it comes to billions of dollars they could potentially loose, but honestly like i care, i dont trade my games, i dont lend them out... people tend to not care so much about property that isnt theirs and i like my things kept in pristine condition...
i like the fact i'll be able to stream and use twitch while i'm playing games... i like the fact that if i get bored i can jump instantly into a movie i was watching and jump back to the game if i feel the need, seamlessly and instantly, i like that i can skype with friends while playing games and have no need to wear a headset anymore... it's all convienience and all the negatives people are pointing out actually make me wonder, why are you so scared that the camera is watching.
i actually hope they announce premium bundles like they did in aus for the xbox 360, i got my console, extra control, 1 year of gold live and like 4 launch titles for $950 or something, i would happily drop another $900 if i could get the system, extra control year of gold and a few launch titles because to me it's worth it and none of the things people are complaining about are a real problem to me...
as far as the PS4 is more powerful argument, sorry but it really isnt.... the fact that the graphics processing power in realtime is basically on par with each other and the xbox can still seamlessly run background processes and programs and switch between it all instantly is actually miles ahead of PS4 and also, the fact that microsoft's demos actually run at 60fps as advertised and looked amazing.. compared to Ps4 looking like it was about to die and having some serious frame issues going on near the end of some demos.. makes me feel like the hardware isnt as pro as all the PS4 fans keep going on about...
my money is once again on xbox one although i'll end up having both consoles anyway.
hahaha fell of my chair laughing XD
Last console I had was X350 ... X1? ... naah not interrested for these reasons
- I don't rly like USA goverment
- I don't want to pay for every bulls--t out there just to try it
- I prefer free coding of PC ... WOO HOO I love AMD and you PC haters can go suck some NSA CEO balls
One day I went outside. Graphics were amazing but the gameplay was horrible.
really don't understand how you managed to misinterpret the Xbox 1 as somehow being more powerful than the PS4 now, the facts have been out now for quite a while, the GPU on the PS4 is around 50% more powerful than the one in the Xbox 1 and the system ram in the PS4 is DDR 5 vs DDR3, not only that, but of the 8gb of ram the Xbox 1 has, only 5gb of it is available for games.
Does that come with a tinfoil hat? I don't think they are using it for that reasons.
i never said more powerful except when it comes to multitasking and such... graphic processing power regardless of how you wanna say GDDR5 VS 3, they are still on par with each other and as for the demo's at E3 xbox one was far more stable and fluid then the PS4, you need to take into account timings n such on the ram also, just because one has 5 doesnt make it better when it's higher latency etc... the ingame demos of both systems looked on par but the xbox one performed better with less issues

LOL thats a very short list..

-Jesse Schell
"Online gamers are the most ludicrously entitled beings since Caligula made his horse a senator, and at least the horse never said anything stupid."
-Luke McKinney
Thank you for that. I will forever be able to properly spell masturbate. My 4th grade teacher would be proud.
again in the demo the games performed better on "one" then on PS4, it's your opinion that people arent interested in internet and streaming and all the rest of it... just because the vocal minority has cried out with all the conspiracy theory nonsense, doesnt mean that the majority of people arent still interested in xbox one or vice versa for that matter...
wait, do you actually think sony gives a fuck about you either?
Not really...
we'll leave it upto the publisher is user friendly... so if the publisher decides to lock the game down to 1 console forever thats user friendly?
Sony has confirmed THEY will not lock games on a hardware level, but the publisher has the right to impose hardware / software restrictions on a DRM level on their software...
have you been misinformed or something?
I think you are misinformed because that is exactly how it works right now on all consoles.
Difference is that Microsoft has put in hardware locks, Sony did not. (**for the next generation)
microsoft has also said they are looking into ways of trading games, like there might be a built in system for selling the rights to your game digitally, nothing is set in stone at this point and it's all been quite vague about what the actual case is
