No commentary , no interview with any devs in the background , just a pure simple gameplay of wildstar . For me this is one of the thing i'm looking before getting any game.

I have to say a couple things:
1. I harbor a ton of hate for NC.
2. That aside it looks again like same old same old.

oh my.
Guys/gals we can do better than this. Same stuff different toilet. How many times is this game gonna be made? It seems that western marketing departments are more creative than the developers.
Isn't that Hellreaver the polearm form Hellfire Citadel?
edit - Yep it is.
wait the made the hilt shorter...
Talks the guy who has an avatar with a game that's ... very different and cool and....
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy?
Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
I support original thought and game design. I'm not ashamed of that, and will not apologize. They next time an original game comes out, I'll change my avatar to that.
You are nitpicking on it's artwork? Seriously ? i could tell 3 different problems i had based from the videos and i am bias as fck in favor of wildstar . But the generic artwork is your tick?
Tell me any other mmorpgs except WoW that has similiar artstyle as this ?
Looks good so far.
I think it might have some success. Sure there are many similar elements to what has come before, but that's okay. If Wildstar is just WoW+1 then it should be a fun time.
Also, I think people underestimate the value of exploring new worlds. This is something too many games forget to do - throw some creativity at the world design so people can feel like they're seeing something new. Wildstar looks very atmospheric with some nice touches.
Of course, as with all things, I'll have to wait and try it before I know how well it plays.
This is gonna sound bad but that pic reminds me of the original Doom.
Nothing too awe inspiring here. I'm still not feeling the telegraph system either. I'm sure it being noobie zone might be one reason why the telegraph and action afterwards seem so slow.
PM before you report at least or you could just block.
Yes, Age of Wushu is.......very original! You .. go support that, while me and other support WildStar.

It's not the art work, but that's the icing on the cake. It's the question, mark guided path, quest to level cap design, do dungeons, do battle grounds, then reroll design.
Well thank god they didn't market their game as a ground breaking innovative MMORPG.
But we already knew it was going to be a themepark in the vein of WoW. So what exactly are you on about?
You don't go to gran turismo forums and say, "well you just drive in a race, collect money, and buy faster cars for other races."
Gran Turismo isn't Need For Speed Most Wanted and vice versa.
Wildstar is not a sandbox, so your complaints make no sense. It's meant to have those features, so if you aren't interested in themeparks, then why spend any amount of time discussing one?
Aside from dodging the red spots on the ground, I could swear I was looking at WoW. It appears we are getting another WoW game, again.
Apparently that is what most of the people want, sigh.
Having seen what these newer games are like, i'm at the point i could pay a sub for vanilla wow again. Sure, Wildstar is mostly the same we've seen since eq2 and wow, but i don't care as long as Wildstar has:
- content for several moths before i'm even close to move to elder game
- no wow-like LFD/LFR -tool
- meaningful crafting
- deep and complex character progression
- no linear hub-2-hub questing
- challenging group content
We certainly dont need any more of those fast-forward-leveling-up-then-teleporting-to-instances -games like MoP, Neverwinter, etc.
The adventuring and exploring aspect has been removed from many modern MMO's..
Guild Wars 2 tried a bit, with the exploring and jumping puzzles but they also had instant travel in game that was pretty unabaited.
I don't think I've been challenged by an MMO as far as adventring in the world since EQ or WOW earler days. Everything released now is ready to give people the instant "convience" of instant travel. It takes alot away from the experience the players can have and we end up missing out on alot of the simple things like the designs of the worlds and the artwork that goes into them...
The US being a country who is constantly working, with people that work more on a hourly basis than any other country may be one major reason why so many games go for this "convience" theme in their games whether it be through Cash Shop items of teleport travel everywhere..

Looks smooth!
That few seconds of him swimming made me think, Does anyone know if you can swim underwater? I know to some it's not that important, but to me it leaves out a dimension if it isn't in the game.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
What happens when you log off your characters????.....

Dark Age of Camelot
Its linear quest hub at least for solo play.
Part of the settler path is to upgrade the quest hubs to give buffs and more quests.
They are a tiny company, and probably started developing this game five or more years ago. This was during the "Hey, WOW is awesome" time period. But now we are two years into the "Hey, WOW is garbage" time period and they could not do what EQ Next did, which was scrap the game and go in a totally different direction. So they had to stick with their original game, just like the Elder Scrolls Online has to stick with their original game.
Wildstar graphically looks like a carbon copy of WOW. There is very little distinction. Some of the mobs may be bigger, but you clearly get where they got their ideas from....and now they must pay the ultimate price!
When they released early info about this game a few years ago, they made it sound like a sandbox type game, where you build things in game. Something happened along the way, and the "build things in game" became "instanced housing" and that was the end of that.
I looked at the first 5 minutes of that game, I saw WOW graphics, NPCs with exclamation marks, the usual quests, the usual UI...the usual everything.
Why play this game. WOW does everything better, and it is bigger. If I am going to play a WOW Clone, I will play WOW...the original WOW Clone.
What else did you expect form a studio started by some 20 ex vanilla WoW devs. This isn't exactly breaking news you're repeating over and over again on these forums.
If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.
