Battlefiends are going off line for only a short time for a revamp. i truely think it depends on your server, bria is still busy and i saw folks on starsider too, i had tells again that weren't all i am leaving messages.
Hunted a bit on dantoone it seems some sweep of mobs and npcs were done and it looks like argo critters were raised back up levels as in pre cu
However there was just to many things i started missing.
Why is there 0 information on combat spam? I liked using different weapons for different mobs.
I liked knowing how much damage i was doing and mobs were. I missed setting up a scout camp i missed getting specials off effectively. I missed smoothness of old animaitions.
At this point i still try when they say they adjust stuff, but i am just looking backwards to much to really enjoy it at this time.
The only reason i think they dropped combat information was the serious outcry at exp nerf and now it is so jumbled no one can tell what they are doing, and or lag issues that always happened even after cu 1 when over spawning was norm.............

I am thinking people are starting to do their own homebaked server merges by just going to where there is people and rolling a new character so they get some interaction again.
Oh and Blizzard just tossed up another 4 servers, SOE must be REALLY driving the customers to them this week.

Anarchy... theed used to be a huge hotspot post CU... where the hell have you been. All summer long Theed would have 40-50 players, sometimes over a hundred on my server. I don't know about others. Coronet was also packed so was Mos Eisely... hell in July, before I left, Mos Eisly I wasn't surprised to see a solid wall of player dots all over the place (100+ people).
Thanks for the post Fad! I was actually starting to believe the fanboi posts saying the servers were still packed... I wasn't about to re-subscribe or anything but I was thinking "well hell... people said the same thing about the CU and we proved them wrong so maybe the NGE folks are right after all".... Ya, see that was my thing. I had heard all this before about the servers are empty. Everyone has left my PA, my guild is gone *boohoo* and so on. This time though I actually think the nay-saying is right. I can't find anyone in the dam game and the server loads are really low.
I will keep everyone updated on my Naritus findings! And I may even slide over to some other servers for the sport of it.

Theed use to be so packed with people it would lag severly. The cantina would have literally 50+ people in it. There would be 50-100 people hanging around the starport dueling etc. NGE killed what was once a great game.

Probably five people and a bunch of crickets chirping. Which ever way you look at it - loads of people have left. I do still play but half my guild of 80ish people don't come on anymore and everytime I do log in there is another message froma customer saying that they have left. I hope they fix it because I really did enjoy SWG.

Post CU, around mid-July, over 50% of the servers were "medium" or above. On many evenings fully 4-6 servers were Heavy and another 3-4 were "extremely heavy". Hell I couldn't even create a character on Bria at one point, the server wouldn't let me!
2 Heavy 1 Medium the rest light or lower.... oh my god they have lost a LOT of players due to this.... a LOT of players.
Interestingly enough guildchat in the newbie guild on Gareth in DAOC has been filled with a bunch of really new players lately (I'm one of them). When we started talking it was quickly apparent that most of us are SWG refugees...
I'm sure other MMORPG's are experiencing the same phenomena.

I'm glad I cancelled my sub. There are just too many other games out right now or are coming out soon. I'm currently beta testing one of the new MMORPG titles coming out which I can't say because of the NDA, but I am having alot of fun exploring, developing my character and doing lots of pretty cool quests.
SWG is dead. Players that think otherwise need their head examined. SOE loves you people that are continuing to pour out your wallets to this game that just plain sucks now.

Well I cancelled all my accounts. Frankly the game play is a joke and playability is for anyone with a genetic mutation of four arms or or very small hands.
I can honestly say I am not thrilled with the reduction od this game.
George Lucas has turned into the very man he hated in the 70's: a Huge meglomaniac business man who sees monetary profits over personal ingenuity. Very ironic to see, in my opinion. Sorta like seeing a hippy eventually evolve into a four star general for the U.S. Marine Corp and eventually becoming Joint Chiefs of staff

There is a SWG Refugees thread at the official Eve Online Forum. I would suspect that the latest peaks of online players in Eve is, at least partially, the result fo the fun the NGE is providing to SWG players at the moment.
