Microsoft's about face may not even be permanent. They still admit to thinking it's a good idea. Who's to say they won't change their mind again a year after their sales number spike.

Don't get why people say weaksauce if my memory serves me right didn't they mostly have the same games...? Only games that wont be on the PS4 is Ryse (we have God of War), titanfall (developer said it might some to ps4) and the M$ ips.
Xbox ONE games I liked are Ryse, Killer Instinct, Quantum Break, Project Spark, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, Sunset Overdrive, D4 and then the old Xbox favs - Halo and Forza
That is 10 MS exclusives that interest me.
Then there are others: Below, Fantasia: Music Evolved, Kinect Sports Rivals, LocoCycle, Minecraft Xbox ONE edition, Zoo Tycoon
That is 16 in total
The only PS4 exclusives I see are: Basement Crawl, Driveclub, Infamous: Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack, The Order: 1886, Secret Ponchos

You do realise that Sony took out a patent to block used games don't you?
What makes Microsoft likely to reverse their decision, and Sony not, when Sony have a history of such stunts? Sony updated the PSP, so you could no longer use it for homebrew, and they updated the PS3 so you could no longer use Linux. Two situations where Sony gave something good and then took it away.
Microsoft do not have a history of such things
After all the hassle of taking it away, they will not redo it again. Also it is still kind of there within the digital downloads, they will probably make it attractive to download games than buy physical disc, but will be optional.
However Sony might redo, and they have not really said anything crystal clear, they have only made vague remarks about supporting used games, but so did MS policy on DRM - You could trade in games at participating retailers, which is more than what you can do with PC games.
Is there any comment from Sony that clearly states that ALL games (published by Sony AND all other publishers) will not have any kind of DRM at all?
I have not seen any official comment from Sony about it, just conflicting statements and articles, but nothing crystal clear from Sony themselves like what Microsoft has said.

Some you listed aren't exclusive to Xbox One. Can we really call Minecraft an Xbox exclusive too?
As you can see the Playstation 4 has more announced games in production than the Xbox One, though less complete exclusives than the Xbox One while more "console" exclusives than the Xbox One; however this is primarily due to the much better indie support of the Playstation 4 and the reason the list is much more inflated than Xbox One is because there are TONS of indie titles coming to the PS4.
$10 Indie exclusives I don't care about. We talking about AAA exclusive games like Quantum Break, Titanfall and Sunset Overdrive. Lets not also forget about Power Star Golf.

That is more of an extensive list, and Minecraft is a console exclusive not on PS4 which you counted too, but separately
Indie titles are more icing on cake, I would not choose a console with more indie titles, and games like DCUO, FF XI ARR, Planetside 2, Diablo 3 are also on PC. If I did not have a PC then those games could make the PS4 more attractive.
If Shenmue 3 got released as a PS4 exclusive, I would make PS4 my main choice then, as that 1 game would be more worth than all exclusives put together!

How do we know Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive will be decent? Quantum Break we know so little about and all we got was a live action trailer, a short cinematic, and pre-rendered cutscenes. Sunset Overdrive was just a trailer that showed no gameplay. To me the only games I'd want on the Xbox One that aren't available on the PS4 is Titanfall and Spark both of which will be available on the PC as well as Killer Instinct and maybe Crimson Dragon though certainly those two aren't enough to sell me on a console. Indie exclusives are kind of a big deal since being able to self publish means there are going to be a lot more titles than the more restrictive Xbox One (unless they 180 on that too).

I never said the games would be good. Nobody even knows if the systems will be good because we have not played them yet. We are going by what we have seen and by what we have seen Microsoft has showed better games. Ryse, Titanfall, Spark, Forza 5, Killer Instinct and Dead Rising where shown in gameplay form. Other games like Quantum Break looked very good from a combination of the tech and the whole time is breaking down story with your own personal movie. Sunset Overdrive being an open world shooter that's going to change everyday depending on how the players play it. We are seeing games that look really good and hearing from the developers about games that are going to try to do things a bit different. What more can we ask for?

Besides gears and Halo I wouldn't hold my breath on their IPs. if shooters are your thing then go for it! I like all types of games except those Rock band & Dance games. i think the PS4 holds more game types for me (God of War, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, and Ect). The only reason I even had a 360 was due to me thinking KoTor 3 was going to be a exclusive for M$. After EA announced that horrible MMO It was played only for Gears till the RROD.
If Titanfall is any good then I will get it for my Custom Rig !
P.S. Went to Gamestop today and they were sold out of all the PS4's, but yet they still had XB180's at both stores the GM told me.
Below is where we can disscuss and come up with new ideas for Sandparks!
Remember, with the 360 vs PS3, a mere price difference of $100 meant Sony was playing catchup almost the entire generation. We've still got a $100 for inferior hardware, fewer games, an always-on kiNSAect, and a lot of lost goodwill.
You're looking at it from the perspective of someone who doesn't want Kinetic(most likely a hardcore gamer). Kinetic is actually a really nice piece of hardware and something a ton of people will want, especially on a full fledge media center like the Xbox One. The PS4 alternative is just as expensive and significantly less impressive.
I do think the PS4 will probably do quite well amongst the hardcore gamer crowd, I'll be buying one myself just because Sony does a way better job with exclusives and RPGs. But I don't see it outpacing the Xbox One in total sells when you consider the target audience Microsoft is going for; which quite frankly is vas compared to people who are upset about the Kinect and an relatively small hardware difference.

Another negative for MS was that they were only putting the console in select countries at launch, whereas it is assumed Sony are launching everywhere. I doubt that will be the case come the day, as it seems they will not have enough machines to launch everywhere, and EU release will be put back to March 2014 AGAIN
Probably in the end, the Xbox ONE will be launched everywhere before Sony get enough stock to launch PS4 everywhere.
Everything to do with PS4 is just assumed from lack of info, whereas MS have just been candid and open, and more organised
I guess it is just a matter of taste, as I see that the PS4 has to offer, and I looked long and hard because I wanted to avoid the DRM of the Xbox ONE, but saw nothing, and was quite content to just stick with the Xbox 360 for now, which is my main console, with the PS3 mainly acting as a Blu Ray player. With MS first presentation before E3, I thought LAME, but then after seeing E3, and the games, I was blown away.
The only games that PS4 had were InFamous, Killzone and Drive Club as main contenders, with the first two being sequels

So getting the Xbox ONE is a no brainer, and will probably get PS4 when more games get released, but there are no God of War, Heavy Rain or Uncharted yet. When there are then I may get it. I did not buy a Xbox 360 for KOTOR 3, I got it for PSU and to play with friends, and I buy consoles for games that actually exist

Below is where we can disscuss and come up with new ideas for Sandparks!
I have both preordered but will probably drop ps4 as there are not enough games to justify the purchase of both at launch.
Idk who will win the console wars in the end; I'll most likely hace both before it's over. I'm getting X-Box One over ps4 as I play all my 3rd parties on X-Box because I hate the ps duel shock controller. I end up spending an extra $100 on 3rd party controllers trying to replace it but they all turn out to be a waste of money and I end up using the DS regardless.

Assuming Shenmue 3 actually happens, god I hope it does, I highly doubt it will be exclusive to any console. Both Shenmue 1 and 2 had very poor sales, so it would make sense to make it available to as many people as possible. It's been a long time since the first two came out, they'd be smart to release an HD collection on xbla, psn, wii u shop, and steam to generate some renewed interest before going full on sequel.

However, Sony's senior director of corporate communications Dan Race later told Gamefront that Tretton was referring to playing used games online.
