Just picked up skyrim and installed 50 mods and then you show me this ?
I think skyrim is one hell of a RPG but The Witcher 3 seems to blow it out of the room.
Cant wait to play this one ^^
Even with a hundred mods, Skyrim won't have decent writing.
It's a corny line, but keep in mind that the books are their own continuity.
TW3 looks amazing. CDP Red are a surprising dev in that they seem to constantly improve their games organically instead of "capturing a new audience" or whatever the PR speak for making lots of flashy explosions is nowadays.
I have been playing those games since the start when Europeans were the main followers and Americans could only see Bioware in front of them.
Looking forward to TW3.

If they can keep the story depth and choices alongside the fully open world then they will become the kings of SPRPG. One thing that Skyrim lacked IMO is story, great game but not very deep story or decisions like you get in TW series.
Oh and TW series does have modding.
On top of that you better have a killer system to turn this baby all the way up, TW2 is one of the best looking graphical game ever made, it trumps Skyrim all day long.
And all this in a true 18+ mature rpg that is not just some gimmick.
Then you must have read a different set of books than I did ...
Should've seen this coming when I phrased it like that.
'I fight for those I hold dear' - such a lame line, considering that witchers are beings seen as deprived of emotions according to the book. Eh...
Better? Anyway, the line is still completely out of character.
Depending on your choices, it's quite possible Geralt has been doing that for the past two games. Triss is an obvious example. In fact, during TW2 you can tell her you'll run away with her after capturing the assassin.
Im fan of both!
But number 3 seems comming very well as open world ala skyrim but better(i hope).

Im also a fan of both have played them both witcher 2 and skyrim.
Im at moment super tweaking Skyrim and i must say(high end pc here) game is os different from vanilla(graphics/sound and lore friendly wise) game looks beautiful now.
All the ENB MODS and ultra enhancments makes game awesome.
But i think The Witcher 3 will blow it away if it comes to story lore and AI npc's.
