Hmm, i like it but my favorite race in EQ was always the Val Shir which were a off shot of a race of Kerra on the continent of Odus. Both my favorite races come from Odus, Val Shar and the Erudites.
I am hoping that the EQN Kerra are more cat like than the EQ2 Kerra that were just human with cat heads.
You can't really tell from that screenshot at all, if anything it looks a bit similar when you actually look at the armour.
That character looks more cartoony than Vanguard characters.
OMG I hope that is a faked picture as it looks like a cross between wow and warhammer. I sure don't want my kerra looking like that. And the person said it did not look cartoon like ahem yes it does.

Yeah it looks very catoony and if you look at that other screenshot of a male, the armour looks a bit cartoony when you compare it to Vanguards character and armour.
Vanguards armor and character models are horrible.

I don't hate the game i just hate the character models, get over it.
That's fair enough but imo wildstar has gone a bit to far.
You prefer Tera armour then good luck to ya, me i prefer realistic armour and characters..ie AOC/Vanguard.

you're the one baiting saying i prefer tera armour when i never even mentioned tera. That doesn't even look like vanguard. The other screenshots you posted do however.

The senior art director mentioned EQN will have a stylized look, so that concept art may be legit.
Ok, let's go back, how about you give us an example of your favorite armour in a mmo.
I like AOC/Vanguard characters and armour, it's realistic, show us what you like.

Yes and I am glad they scrapped that. That is from 2010 fanfaire and we know right after that the got suck a kick in the gut they scrapped the game and started over. Give it a month for SOE live and maybe we will see the new stuff.

They did not scrap everything, for the 1 millionth time. =p
A year and a half ago, we made that decision. I didn't get to cover this in the keynote, so I should mention it here. The engine and underlying technology has not changed. A lot of the guts and infrastructure are staying the same. What we're really changing is what the game is all about, all the design elements.
Thank god for that but if you look at this picture and especially the armour it still looks cartoony with over the top armour pieces imo.

I'm not exactly certain, but everytime I see this picture, I think "OMG, gnomes are going to be everywhere!" What is SOE's fascination with gnomes, anyway?
