If they are putting this much effort in trivial things, you'd think the rest of the game is getting just as much attention. I'm looking forward to this release.
Pretty much everything in the OP was already known so not much news here.
Personally, I never had a need or a use for a horse in TES since I loved scaling mountains, running off the beaten path and sneaking up on those darn Imperials and Elves as they escorted the prisoner Stormcloak down the road... somehow, it never worked out to well for them, they keep dieing and the prisoner was freed and given weapons to retake up his cause.
I don't know how that seems unusual to you...my game isn't complete without Shadowmere, also one the nicest ways to travel! And the mountains I have scaled on that horse that I wouldn't have done otherwise!!

Don't expect to be scaling any mountains on your horse in TESO.
I understand about only Horse-like mounts, however i want magical one too. I would like too see even undead horses and mabye Arvak from Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC.
Man I never used my horse in either of those games. That mofo kept dieing on me, so after a while it just seemed pointless and a chore. Now this is just my opinion on the situation so don't shoot the messanger my fellow gamers., but they need to make the mount spawn able an despawnable. Now that does not mean your house has to pops out of the ground with smoke. They could however try something like assassin creed did and have a horse whistle or w/e, They just need some way that does not make keeping track of your horse a chore. Just the way I am looking at it.
Ok, I am going to say something. People who are negative about this game are so for one reason. In an mmo setting there is only one way to play Practical. What dose this mean? I will talk about guild wars 2 as an example. Now before I get into a rant let me just clarifie a few things. I in no way think gw2 is a horrible game. I like the game and I enjoy it. With that said I see a few things wrong with it. Not playing a lot of mmo myself i see that the only way to do stuff in gw2 is to run a charter that the community wants you to. Here is my example I play as a ranger and most parties, not saying all, hate adding rangers to do anything with. This means I have pick a class few people like and there for it hard to experience a lot of the game do to the fact a lot of it is game geared for group play. This means I would have to roll a character and build it the way the community see fit. This takes away for me enjoy the game my way. Which is a huge reason why the es serious is beloved. You could play the game your way and not worry about doing something wrong. In an mmo that is never the case you either play the way that is best or you dont get to do jack shit, and in most mmo people burn threw the game to get to max level just to do what raid? sounds a lot like a job rather then enjoying the content. Again like I said this is just how I view it. Don't me its the gospel and its true just my view on it. I don't want to see this game which I love playing become something like that. I am kinda glad that people who love the serious can now play it together and bash each other in wvwvw combat. So far I am liking what I am hearing from the eso and I know ZeniMax has a hard game to deliver on. They are trying to make a game that please es fans and mmo fans, but at the end of the day you are not gonna please every one and we are all going to find something about any game we play wrong. We all just want to see this game do really well both mmo fans and es fan.
Assuming they eventually [inevitably] offer the ability for us to fight from our mounts, I see a great opening in customization options. This intrigues me in that we can potentially see more customization options opening. Perhaps you want a horse that can take more damage than usual, or a mount that can /kick a NPC or PvP character back (knockdown). But then, maybe that's too much.
Originally posted by LordSneerg Wow. Mounts is what we have been reduced to talk about. Sigh...
As opposed to the neverending bitching between sandbox/theme-park or loot type/death penalties and then the constant litany of complaints?
Yeah, I'll talk about mounts over that stuff any day!
Do not get me wrong. I have no intention to troll, or offend you. But I cannot help it.
You like an idea about bonding with mounts, right?
It is kind of ironic, because your nickname (Sovrath) sounds exactly like would “Roan” (horses suit - "wild" color, color of Przewalski's horse) sound in Russian. No joke.
Originally posted by Razeekster You bonded with your horses in Oblivion and Skyrim? Um... I don't really see how... Not calling you a liar, but horses are easily lost in both those games. They die easily too... I also don't see how mounts have anything to do with making ESO feel like the Elder Scrolls. Mounts have never been a big part of the Elder Scrolls series.
I hadn't played Oblivion enough to comment, but I'd say in Skyrim people bonded with Frost or Shadowmere, unique horses that you can only obtain once. Especially in Shadowmere's case, as it's almost invincible. And when mounted combat was added. Oh god. You're indestructible.
