So the day before the reveal he says EQ and VG players should LOVE this game. What were you smoking dude? This game is so aimed towards the modern day themepark mmo player it's not even funny. There is NOTHING Everquest or even Vanguard in this game that I have seen. Not even the races as far as I'm concerned.

As for Brad, is he even working with this game? I thought he was back on EQ1 team? And, I'm sure he was largely referring to freedom to go and do as you please, rather than follow the quest hubs. But, I'm not sure why anyone would take his word religiously after all the crap he spewed hyping Vanguard.
agree... another single player online game to throw into the mix, with some flashy new features they probably wont be able to deliver on.

I can understand why a lot of people are upset, but it really is your fault. Many of you started imagining what the game was before we even knew anything.
You guys might not like it, but I know for a fact that many more of us do. I am very happy with what they are doing, also, be glad that you can still play EQ, it's not like they are closing the games down just because of EQN.

nah, I'll go with majorities over your singular experience for what is truth. And from the countless locked threads and responses I've seen, you're in the big minority. Not saying it isn't getting positive feedback, which it is, but the positive feedback definitely isn't from many EQ and VG fans.

The focus should be whether you liked what you saw so far about EQN. EQNext was just revealed. Why would you even bring Brad in the discussion?

all you have to do is watch the videos.
by the way, he mentioned quests multiple times dude.
indeed there is a "main story quest" designed to make you feel like the savior of norrath.. and then all the rallies etc... along t he way

apparently you didnt play EQ1, this game has it's main storyline which focuses on you being the champion of the universe, the same scripted crap that mmo developers have been trying to palm off on us and failing at for the longest time, being able todo rallies with other people around but not being grouped with them, makes it a single player online game... you have no real need to group... it's not like a real MMORPG which compliments game play by not making your character a reckoning force in the universe, who has to group with other people to compliment his skills by filling in the voids that his skills lack to get challenges done.

Don't pretend to speak for the majority. Even if 100% of users on this site hated the art direction, it still wouldn't count as a majority in the overall population of EQ / Vanguard vets.
The Secret World has both levels and quests.....
Do you really think Brad would badmouth EQ Next? i mean he is lucky that SOE hire him back after all the drama, i am sure he will kiss John's butt as much as he can.
