in RF Online

Open Beta for the Philippines verson is now open.

http://www.risingforce.ph/main.html

You will need Bitorrent program to download the RF client. They provide you with all the essientals you need to get this game started.

Top of the screen, chose Download then Patches. From there, you can pretty much figure out what it is you need to do.

    ::::24::i hope it has 2 ways of downloading it, bit & the other i forget its name that i ussaly use anyway, since bit torent never helped so i went with the other::::30::

    I forget the progam that I used the first time I tried, but something failed. Now, I'm trying it once again with Bitorrent. After, it's recommended.

    And even though this is a Philly's version of RF, I found that there are many english speaking players playing at this moment. i.e. Offical RF site.

    Just be warned, you'll be looking at a LONG download.

    The problem I have though with trying the phill open beta is that they cut the connections from the U.S. and guess they don't plan on removing the restrictions then?

    You can't play this unless you change your proxy settings to like a philly IP or something, everything US/UK is blocked!

    hehe, loop holes. If there is a will, there is a way.

    Go to Control Panel, Internet connections, Set up internet connections, Lan Settings. Set lan IP address to 202.57.76.190 port 8080. Problem solved, and welcome to Open Beta :)

    Will that slow down your regular internet though?

    possibly, most likely. But the question is, do you want to play now? or wait till UK/US version goes live?

    Thanks for the help, but now for some reason windows has an error at the login and patch screen. Anyone having the same problem?

    Edit: Scracth that, it just takes a few good tries to get it to work.

    Dakkanon,

    When I chaged the proxy server, I was unable to access the internet at all. Do I have to do somthing with my router as well?

    you need to install RF O again... but before u do that:

    switch your windows clock to GMT + 8 ( HongKong Time ) -> Install RF O -> Patch & Play :o ...

    hey ya i really wanna play to but i dont no y but i think somthing wrong whit mine its only cuz i downloaded the game and all and i installed it to but when i click on it to play it always say lunching dataupdate server and then it shuts down can any 1 help me whiot that problem?

    Still having an issue with it, it attempts to connect to the updater and then shuts down

    i have set up the proxy as you said before and even have my clock set to GMT +8 hong kong

    can anyone tell me what is wrong?

    EDIT: nevermind just takes forever and took a few tries thank you for the information, this should hold me off till US/UK beta

    Fun Factor is what makes or breaks a game, if its not fun just play something else.

    have been going crazy with boredom waiting for a worthy MMO to come out and RFO was one of the few i was interested in. download should be finished soon^^. just upgraded my bandwidth so i'll keep ABC running so other folks can get this faster

    Thanks, but I already got that problem fixed. The one I'm having now is that at the patch updater with the login screen, when it begins to actually patch it tells me there is a patch failure and to try again in the short future. Which it has told me a few times already and I am not able to get past it seems.

    All in all, the cons out weighs the pros. When connecting to RF, use alternate proxy. when surfing the net, and or playing any other MMOs, you'll need to switch back to your default setup. I know no other way around this. I have a few others who are playing phRF, that are on US soil. They have the same burdens as I do, and you as well.

    What we're trying to do at the moment, is find a server IP address in the Phillipines so we could have optimized performace.
    Just hard to get a trust worthy relationship.

    This is the best answer I have at this time :/

    have it installed and it begins to patch, then it either just goes away or tells me to try again in short future, then goes away. do i just keep running it? is there hope? sweet jesus im bored

    When I log on, and forgotten to use an alternate IP address, persay, I have this problem.

    I have the same problem, however, I am already trying at a different IP adress and it still occurs and dosen't seem to clear up much.

    ok i have this problem as well, it is actually a major problem with this open beta and apparently happens just about every patch here are the files that you will need to manually patch into your directory.
    no garuntee on this as i am attempting it as i type will edit or respond with result but the ph boards says it works

    Dang, well thanks for the info then. I probably won't be trying in hope for its success then if I know now its a normal problem occuring with others as well and that its probably not going to clear up. Hopefully they can fix this problem or somone finds a way to, thanks again.
