    Thanks for answers, Patrick!

Though I am still a bit unsatisfied on one thing, I have a bit misstated the question about friendly fire. By "factions" I've meant the actual 4 races in the game.

So if, lets say, my Space Marine council decides to join forces with Eldar, will I still be able to shoot them?

they are still discussing FF so its the same for allied factions

i think having FF between allied factions will make it very hard to have an alliance cause there will be always some1 who dont know about the alliance and just shoot every xeno he see

but i really would love FF cause its realistic and works in PS2 too

yeah planetside handles FF in a good way and so long as they make it obvious who is a friend when you are allied with them then i dont see a problem, some players are going to be trigger happy but ther is just no way round that. also if they instetute a greef system it might be an idea for you to get less greef from shootong allies than you would if you shot a fellow faction member.

The whole FF idea, can be cool in FPS games, but in MMO-s and crowded situations with so many people on screen i really think its a bad move. I dont even want to mention mistakes by newbies or even worse trolls that will cripple their teams on purpose or allys in general.

if i understand well yes: the alliance between eldar and space marine for expample it's not an in game mechanic but a alliance between the 2 war coucil who dedice to cooperate and assing mission against the same enemy from different side or similar. it's about the "sanbox" and freedom aspect of the game. like a sorta of "homebrew" rule.

I think the best way to handle FF would be to include reduced damage to allies - not full damage, but reduced.

That reminds me - how much damage will my weapon typically do to other players? How many shots from a typical bolter, shoota, or eldar weapon? I know more powerful weapons would do higher damage, but seeing as those weapons arn't typical loadouts, whats the base minimum? Also - body part specific damage? Headshots vs ankle shots?

How will Daemons be represented? Chaos Spawns? All the chittering warp beasts that make a scene during Chaos invasions?

Can we anticipate abilites that are activated via keyboard, or are those things passive?

We will not block and manage HOW you want to act in the game: IT IS WAR

We only provide the tool so people can meet in secret..... the rest is on YOU.

If you are a true Space Marine at heart you will follow Players command.... if you are an Orks and your BOSS is not around, well I guess you will do whatever you want!!

So for making side deals...... its all about LEADERSHIP and not about us forcing the players to behave in a certain way!

Lore-wise, whenever Chaos gets it's shennangins going, there is almost always a daemonic presence. But I'm not referring to blood thirsters or the big guys - but the spawn and lesser beings that burst through the warp. It's almost Tyranid territory in the way they behave.

When are you gonna announce remaining playable Chaos Space Marine legions ?

We know Iron Warrior and Black Legion are in the game so far.

Any chance to see Thousand Sons and Death Guard in the game ?

Thanks for taking on the huge challenge of the WH40K universe. The enthusiasm and communication is amazing.

    1. Are you guys implementing dreadnoughts, deff dreads, Chaos dreads etc? Since they're so strong are they going to be AI controlled or used as a bolster for outnumbered forces? EX 80SM versus 200CSM. The SM will need a morale boost!

    2. For the whole lore topic of too many SM dying and respawning maybe make a newly tested gene seed cloning ability?Possible solution for the over abundance of SM's. If executions are being implemented I don't understand how a decapitation can be considered a treatable wound. Possible solution for the over abundance of SM's.

    3. It would be epic to watch a mega nob and chaplain DUEL in the middle of a huge melee. Would be very canon'ish :)

    4. How will vehicles be balanced at release? This was one of the biggest killers of PS2's initial population was the incredible over poweredness of the high explosive gods of war (liberator and faction tanks). Giving everyone the ability to spawn one without any prerequisite certification made vick spamming horrendous and frustrating for the average ground pounder. Vehicles should be strong, but they should also be limited.

    5. What are the render limits we'll be seeing? Another blooper on PS2 which turned away thousands of players after release. Having players render literally 15 feet in front of you was annoying. Even more so is when the person shooting you wasn't visible.

1.Yes (QuestionWill there be dreadnoughts and will they be playable?

(Answer: Yes the mighty Dreadnoughts will be playable, with restrictions. (russian interwiev)

    2. no cloning is proibited fluff wise, http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Replicae#.UgTetZLW4cA

    3. yes!

    4. ork veicle will be weaker but cost less, war 40k is an ambientation with al lot of focus on melee and infantry

Will vehicles require a crew of multiple people(1 gunner 1 driver) or will they be like other games (the driver is the gunner)?

the driver will probably have a front facing gun of some sort, but multiple people can have 'shooting slots' e.g. predator  (vigilia mortis site patrickbalthazar)

    5. yes also gw2 have se same problem, i think it's one of the harder problem with the netcode in this games.

Heres a question nobody mentioned yet.

The quote, "We go where we wilt, we slay who we wilt" Is a Raven Guard quote, and it appeared as if they were a playable chapter in the Phase 3 video. Can you confirm that?

Got a question, seeing as there wont be lvling(exp gaining?), is the game really going to be more of a shooter in that case for the most parts, or by any chance going to be more RPG oriented?

Cause lvling and geting new spells/ perks usually is associated with *mmoRpgs*. While i didnt play a lot of PlanetSide2, it felt like a shooter on a grander scale, with not so much story/ immersion personally.

From how it sounds, it sounds like a massive-multiplayer-persistant-world-Battlefield-3ish type game with RPG elements - guilds, buying equipment with requisition, personalization and customization of your character, etc.
