I tried the game and i guarantee you that i absolutly hate it.
the only way to see if you like the game is to give it a go. I tried it as well a while ago. tough its not my sort of thing, i'm sure a lot of new people to the game will like like it. that being said, i was pretty shocked when i saw all but 2 servers on "Very Light" status and it was at Saturday, during normal daytime.

Your attempts to look "cool headed" and "mature" via your above post are pretty lame. I mean you say you are trying to stay on topic and maintain objectivity but one only has to look at your multiple negative sigs to know that you have no intention of doing either.
Most of my posts start out as objective and they degenerate into flamefests because people such as yourself show up with your SWG bashing. I am guilty of throwing insults around but more often than not it is the result of someone taking stabs at myself or others for liking the game.
Look, in all seriousness, I don't understand why you stay here. You obviously don't like the game and I am the first one to say it is far from perfect. But if you don't like SWG and are not going to play it then why stay in the SWG forums and bitch. I think a lot of you people believe that if you complain enough it will affect some change in your favor. We both know that SOE could care less about players, a sad fact I accepted LONG AGO!
SWG is the way it is, for better of for worse. I myself left in July 2005 because I really didn't like the way the game was. I returned and am enjoying it now and as long as I do is as long as I will defend it. I hope you and the others who hate SOE and SWG manage to get over this and move on. I think it is the only way forward.

Reality? Reality is realizing people that come here either have enough common sense to sort through the good and bad and make up their own minds or they won't. If they listen to you then they deserve whatever they get from the game just as much as if they listen to any negative person fully.
It's a discussion forum about the game, people come here to hear the bad as much as the good, everyone needs to get off this trying to protect new people from people that have complaints with the game. The trial is there, most people do have the ability to engage their brain, they can try it for themselves if they want and see. If that is above them, then they probably shouldn't be playing video games to begin with.
However I would also say being "positive" about a company that has a product that is currently so low quality in the state of the game code currently isn't very realistic. Spend 4 hours doing phase II of the jedi starfighter quest last night. Why did I spend 4 hours on it? Because my spawns kept spawning inside walls and terrain so I couldn't complete the quest and I had to keep logging out and waiting til they time out to come in and try again. I should have made a service call you say to CSR? Well I DID, however, they can't be bothered to get to your issue in less then 24 hours so as usual I had to figure out a way around the problem myself.
So I think you really should watch it when you say YOUR the one being realistic Anarchy. Like the game, thats cool, its your enjoyment on a frivalous pass-time, but don't sit and accuse the people with complaints on the game of not being realistic where-as you are.

I dont want SOE to fail so to speak, I wish to inform people of the 2+ years that tons of SW fans backing them got the shaft and are still getting the shaft and thats how this particular project works (broken promises a poorly developed game that they cant seem to fix). I would like to see SW put into some better hands even if it means job changes at LA so I could finally enjoy the SW saga in a MMO that I can trust as well as the rest of its hard core fans. Warning people about SWG as it is with its way of doing things is something I feel compelled to do and I for one wont stop doing it anytime soon. I for one will never use/play anything from SOE ever again though unless very very drastic changes are made with the way it treats its customers.

Have seen the game they enjoyed turned 180 on them.
Have seen hundreds of friends leave over the last 2 years.
Have seen investments in time wiped out in 10 days.
Have seen SOE add more bugs than they remove.
Have stated time and time again, point by point what they don't like...for all to see.
Have shown that they are not a "vocal minority", but rather a "vocal majority" 75%-80%
Have shown how a player can live in a Star Wars Community and create their own "Star Wars Universe" to live in.
Fanboiz
Feel SOE can do no wrong.
Enjoy the FPS style of game more often associated with MOHAA, CoD and DoD.
Can justify Medics being an alpha class and Jedi running around with rifles.
Most often very new to the game are where gone for the last year (little to no existing history)
Often uses phrases like "The NGE is good...there are just a few bugs that need to be fixed".
Have little or no points to justify playing the game...only comments like "try the game for yourself".

I have this to say in response. If I ate a bad cheeseburger at a vendor down the street and became violently ill....would you like me to stop you, my friend, from eating there that day as well? Would you seriously expect me to stop by there for dinner to give the vendor another try? Well, the dish SOE is serving is bad. A few might not mind badly cooked food, but most people are best off just going next door and enjoying a safer dinner where they know the chef isn't going to swap the beef for whale fat.

Have little or no points to justify playing the game...only comments like "try the game for yourself". Have yet to realize that they are actually a minority. 20%-25% Have to be guided by strict profession requirements to feel "Star Warsy".

No, just someone with a foothold in reality. If you try the game yourself having never played before, I guarantee you will like it. Sad how every person who hates the game thinks that they have the only correct opinion, and that everyone who likes the game works for SOE.
I tried the game and i guarantee you that i absolutly hate it.
the only way to see if you like the game is to give it a go. I tried it as well a while ago. tough its not my sort of thing, i'm sure a lot of new people to the game will like like it. that being said, i was pretty shocked when i saw all but 2 servers on "Very Light" status and it was at Saturday, during normal daytime.

Your attempts to look "cool headed" and "mature" via your above post are pretty lame. I mean you say you are trying to stay on topic and maintain objectivity but one only has to look at your multiple negative sigs to know that you have no intention of doing either.
Most of my posts start out as objective and they degenerate into flamefests because people such as yourself show up with your SWG bashing. I am guilty of throwing insults around but more often than not it is the result of someone taking stabs at myself or others for liking the game.
Look, in all seriousness, I don't understand why you stay here. You obviously don't like the game and I am the first one to say it is far from perfect. But if you don't like SWG and are not going to play it then why stay in the SWG forums and bitch. I think a lot of you people believe that if you complain enough it will affect some change in your favor. We both know that SOE could care less about players, a sad fact I accepted LONG AGO!
SWG is the way it is, for better of for worse. I myself left in July 2005 because I really didn't like the way the game was. I returned and am enjoying it now and as long as I do is as long as I will defend it. I hope you and the others who hate SOE and SWG manage to get over this and move on. I think it is the only way forward.

If people who bash the game are just whiners then what does that make you, someone who likes the game and defends it religiously day in and day out? Frankly if you want to be going around throwing labels then some labels fit you such as Fanboy, Zealot, Fanatic, Lemming, Tool, etc.
Thats the problem when you start throwing insults around. Instead what it should be are people disucssing their views and if people dont agree with you then life goes on. 6 billion people on this planet and guess what, not everyone will have your exact same opinion on everything and you wont convince them. This is not a battle between SWG for you, its a battle of your massive ego thinking anyone who thinks outside your box must have some major flaw in them as humans and you are the only enlighted one who realizes how wonderfull the game is.
Reality? Reality is realizing people that come here either have enough common sense to sort through the good and bad and make up their own minds or they won't. If they listen to you then they deserve whatever they get from the game just as much as if they listen to any negative person fully.
It's a discussion forum about the game, people come here to hear the bad as much as the good, everyone needs to get off this trying to protect new people from people that have complaints with the game. The trial is there, most people do have the ability to engage their brain, they can try it for themselves if they want and see. If that is above them, then they probably shouldn't be playing video games to begin with.
However I would also say being "positive" about a company that has a product that is currently so low quality in the state of the game code currently isn't very realistic. Spend 4 hours doing phase II of the jedi starfighter quest last night. Why did I spend 4 hours on it? Because my spawns kept spawning inside walls and terrain so I couldn't complete the quest and I had to keep logging out and waiting til they time out to come in and try again. I should have made a service call you say to CSR? Well I DID, however, they can't be bothered to get to your issue in less then 24 hours so as usual I had to figure out a way around the problem myself.
So I think you really should watch it when you say YOUR the one being realistic Anarchy. Like the game, thats cool, its your enjoyment on a frivalous pass-time, but don't sit and accuse the people with complaints on the game of not being realistic where-as you are.

I think many of those playing who are pissed that we're working so hard at criticising and warning people away from this game.. because they actually want to play an mmorpg with other people. (Except AA.. He actually understands where we are pissed, but enjoys the game. Dunno WHY, but he does, and more power to him)
What they DON'T realize is that we're doing what we can to actually get back at the company that treated us like S#!T and took away the game we loved. Not to piss off fanbois, but to piss off $OE. We WANT this to fail miserably, because if it SUCCEEDS, it just proves them right. It proves that this practice can continue.

I dont want SOE to fail so to speak, I wish to inform people of the 2+ years that tons of SW fans backing them got the shaft and are still getting the shaft and thats how this particular project works (broken promises a poorly developed game that they cant seem to fix).
I would like to see SW put into some better hands even if it means job changes at LA so I could finally enjoy the SW saga in a MMO that I can trust as well as the rest of its hard core fans.
Warning people about SWG as it is with its way of doing things is something I feel compelled to do and I for one wont stop doing it anytime soon.
I for one will never use/play anything from SOE ever again though unless very very drastic changes are made with the way it treats its customers.
