Loving the game so far....I hate questing but im enjoying this game.....Im a pvper at heart so this is saying something

I can't believe how crowded the servers are. It's quite insane.
This game is by no measure perfect, but it's definitely fun & worth the small sub fee.
Loving it as well. It is really cool to watch and listen to the community coming together in game, you get a real sense of how this game is designed to cater to all types of players, rp'ers and casuals are mixing quite well and there is enough variation and options to choose how you play and not forcing players into a corner.
At this point the only thing I see this game lacking from an MMO perspective is "open world pvp" and honestly that is never an easy sale as it punishes too many people not interested in playing that way, though it is just an observation and would be a near impossible sale especially in the Final Fantasy universe, but besides everything I could want from a Final Fantasy MMO it is the only thing from an "MMO" perspective I am missing.
It's a side of my MMO gamer I really don't care for but to this day I still desire open world pvp in my games, guess it is just too hard to shake, though the arena and Frontline is looking really epic.
I can not get enough of this game! Well done Square Enix. I have faith in you now.

I like others could not get into this Beta,seems there is an error problem on 1/2 of the server instances.
I never had any lag in the prior Beta's.i can only assume a LOT of players are taking part on the same number of servers.
I think some lag is expected as there are going to be times when servers are extremely packed and no developer on this planet releases large amounts of bandwidth.
I do have to say the game plays pretty darn good for me considering i have a weak system on my PC.I could play on Laptop but screen is too small for my old eyes.I'll probably break down and buy a new PC but not until next year,this one is still going strong.
I play FFXI so i know real lag,like 1200 ping and such,i think what many are most likely experiencing is graphical lag,you are taking part in maybe the highest poly MMORPG on the market.

Yeah there were a lot on yesterday, then today you have all the people just checking things out that weren't in the prior betas either. Place is absolutely mobbed. That and the people that WERE around before, are playing more too, since now they know their characters are being saved.
Of course all that will tone down after open beta ends. I can live with the lag it's fun having swarms of people around in an MMO.
If you can't take a statement that goes against what you believe than you shouldn't post on mmorpg.com. It's well known for people posting negative about games. Best defense is to not acknowledge it and they get bored and move on to other threads.
Phase 2 I got invited to the beta, wrote the game off too quickly.
Phase 3 I couldn't stop playing.
Phase 4 I am still playing nonstop since the servers are up
Seriously one of the most well done games I've played in a long time, me and my free company are having a blast.

Great game so far, but only time will tell if I can stick with it.
I can tell you one thing though, I do like it a lot better than Guildwars 2. For some reason the game to me has a nice feel to it and the whole world and story line is very compelling to me.
This is the 1st time playing any type Final Fantasy game, now I wish I would have played the others.

like the game after level 15 the dungeon and ifrit was fun. But the first 15 levels was boring and doesn't have a good introduction.
Really bummed me out they made me like a dam delivery boy going place to place then coming back and the cycle repeats. Some quest were fun like the guild quest and guildhest/leve quest but I HATE THE SIDE QUESTS.
You could go 1-50 easily without touching a sidequest, so that's good news for you.
I don't mind them at all though.
