After being in the game for a few minutes, my game crashes and I get an error message regarding the DnLg.exe file.
Does anyone here know what to do about this?
Thanks in advance!

You have to find you DnL.ini file.
Its a text file, about 4,25kb I recon. Game configurations or something. It might not be called dnl.ini in windows xp, its just called DnL, but its the text document. in your Launcher/Sog folder.
Delete the file, and then do a full integrity check and your game should work now, except the servers arent up so instead you will get another error :P
But the error you are writing sounds like the old dnl.ini bug. Are you having music when the loge appears "DnL" with the lightrays?
Yes, I know about deleting those files to fix the runtime error, I did delete them and the runtime error has stopped... So you are saying deleting the dnl.ini & dnl.cfg fixes the crash with the DnLg.exe file also...?
It is called dnl.ini on my computer. I deleted it and ran a full intetrity check and got into the game just fine. I played for a few minutes and crashed with the DnLg.exe error.
I don't know what you mean by "Are you having music when the loge appears "DnL" with the lightrays?" I created a character and killed a spider. I heard music in the game and at the character creation screen. After I killed the spider I crashed with the DnLg.exe error.
I know the only solution you guys can think of is the deletion of the ini, cfg, and exe files, but I think you guys are a bit confused here. That fixes the runtime error, it does NOT fix the dnlg.exe error. I've tried deleting all three of them at once as well as any combination thereof, and I still keep getting the error.

I DO have a 256MB Radeon x800GT, but I can't use it until I get a more powerful PSU, which is currently in the mail. ;_;

Hopefully you can get the PSU soon. Thought the radeon 7000 was the equvialent to a GeForce 3.
yes if you go through the integrity check it will re-install them..
but even now when i delete them i still recieve custom loggin error, i think they have a few more tweeks to do...
I have the same problem
i tried deleting the dnl.ini and dnl.cfg files and running the patcher and then tried deleting all three files and running the patcher with full integrety check both times and still get the DnLg.exe crash
i put in a ticket with the tech support about it and now im waiting for a response
the priority level of this problem was listed as medium which means they don't really care a whole lot about it
whenever or if they ever get back to me about it i'll let yall know and if anyone knows how to fix this plz inform us

I have deleted the ini, cfg and exe files and still have the DnLg.exe error CTD.
Even ask in the IRC and no1 knows a answer.
No input from DnL also from support ticket.

My Sager 5760 Review
I get this same error message about every 20-45 minutes of gameplay and I crash to desktop. It's a normal Windows XP error message (dnlg.exe has encountered a proplem and needs to close). I tried all the fixes: downloaded the codec to fix the intro video, move the .cfg file out of the folder and I try running with and without the full integrity check. When i run the check, it redownloads the .cfg file to my folder, so I have to keep moving it out everytime I restart the game.
I use an nVidia geforce 7800 gfx card and AMD processor. I don't think there is a solution to this yet, as many have sent in tickets to support I see. I just wanted to reply that I am continuously having this same problem as many others.
Thats because DnL NEEDS this file. The reason to remove it beforehand is to get the latest version of it. Apparently, it is not updated automatically.
These crashes seem to have no direct connection to a specific type of hardware or driver - so all you can do is trying to tweak your settings, update all drivers and hope that the DEVs start workin on this problem soon.
DNL.exe crash is nothing unusual, just log in back straight after the crash!
I have heard from a Pioneer friend that it only crashes in the Beginner island and on the real land it's crash free. So don't loose your head over the crashes, i get them all the time.
If there are problems with anything when you try to log in it's because the servers are down, so you only need to wait.

just anouced they have a memory leak and will be puttting the servers up and down till they patch and fix it, should hopefully get rid of the dnlg crashes!!!
