And a hell of a patch day, with 3102's, 90k's etc no doubt :D

But it's still a few months away. I wish they came up with Gold Saucer faster!

    Psyched about housing tho!

http://neocron-game.com/ - now totally F2P no cash-shops or micro transactions at all.

It could be 25th or 30th of november, it'd still be a few months away, so my statement stands :)

No, your statement doesn't "stand", but it may perhaps stand in certain circumstances  image

If you say "it's a few months away", that implies multiple months, as in at least 2 full months (or more). One and half months is not "multiple months", it's 6 weeks.

For your statement to "stand" in its entirety, 2.1 would have to hit after 20th November.

So Housing (which I dont do)
    PvP - looking forward to
    1 new dungeon
    1 new primal

The rest is reused content (with higher difficulty)

Where are new jobs? New zones? How about fixes for the inventory system - or actual bank space?

How about adding additional mobs to different zones for leather drops?

    How about crafting only inventory?

-It is your loss for not doing housing

-1 new dungeon AND 24 man raid

This is the first content patch....your other requests are just over the top. What AAA game adds new classes and zones two months after launch?

You need a bank for what? With your personal inventory (100) and two retainers (175 each) in addition to a FC bank which can hold another 150 items you should not be having an issue even if you are doing some serious gathering and crafting.

At least have some legitimate complaints or realistic suggestions next time.

Hopefully they will fix some of the technical issues before this patch :/

Housing and PVP should be nice.

I know this is a bit lame-o, but, I'm most looking forward to housing. In fact, I haven't been spending any gil in the hopes that I'll have enought to buy a house. My daughter loves player housing in games.

Inventory Sort was announced at the Tokyo Game Show along with a lot of small changes like that. You will be surprised how the patch changes the game.

Apparently the game has grown to 1mil unique players.

    http://www.dualshockers.com/2013/09/21/tgs-2013-final-fantasy-xiv-has-over-a-million-players-info-and-relevant-screencaps-from-the-live-letter/

The only thing I really worry about this game is the addition of pvp.  After seeing how well a game can work without it I kind of loath the coming "balance" issues and people getting mad and hating the game because their class isn't the OP pvp class ect.  I actually don't miss pvp in this game at all.  My only hope is that the never make the focus of the game pvp in any way.

The only thing id like to see with pvp is some sort of public guild hall territory warfare.  Either find a way to put a few guild halls inside of existing cities, or put them in the world somewhere, allow public access with vendors that can sell items ect....make them useful for non members...and then have sieges or what have you for the right to be there.  Keep the guild halls in tact but just make the public entrance go to the owners hall...that would be nice

This is semi off topic but, my son and I are new to the game. I have quite a few hours in and so does he, but our question is are there any random item drops from open world mobs? For example, there would be a chance to get a green or blue item in WoW when fighting a random mob. The only gear I have gotten are from quest rewards.

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

No you get gear via crafting, quests rewards or dungeons. IF you do dungeons get your son use to strafing to avoid AOE damage as it becomes very important in later content.

The mobs do drop random things like skins etc but that is all used in crafting.

Ok thank you for your response. I miss the excitement of killing something and having that chance to get a world drop! Anyway, we have done the first 4 dungeons and have gotten our mounts.  We are having a good time with it! :)

actually yes I have looted armor from killing random mobs out in the open world. I haven't seen any rare drops but I have obtained hq crafting drops.

    @Amjoco,

To be even more precise, no, items do not drop from normal mobs. The only way to get item drops out in the open world is by opening chests that spawn when you activate a Leve. AFAIK that is the only way to get actual gear and such and I have gotten quite a bit of it thanks  to always being on the lookout for chests while doing Leves. They might not be the best items in the game but its really nice to have a weapon drop for another class you were just thinking about levelling.

    Hope this info helps!

There are certain enemies that can drop an equipment in the open world.

I got a mask from the empire soldiers in mor dhona.

Granted it's not good stat wise it has the same look of the empire soldier's masks and not everyone knows about them.

PvP will have it's own set of abilities, earned by PvPing, not only that but the GC you're on will determine how that ability functions as well.
