I was against it at first, but the game looks quite good. Besides, LoK has been dead for some time now, especially since Crystal Dynamics started developing Tomb Raider games. Making a spin-off title will only remind people the whole IP exists.
This just in: person who was banned on forums claimed they did nothing wrong.
I've yet to see someone get banned from any official forum of any game for following the rules. I have seen people use offensive language, troll, bait, bitch, moan, cry, threaten and get banned.
Constructive criticism is allowed everywhere I've ever looked. So learn to be constructive and not just tell people they suck, are stupid, should die in a fire, etc. and you will be fine.
Proper communication is lost on most people in the internet age so sadly there may be people who actually think they did nothing wrong and don't get it. Most of them though know what they did and just want to try and rile up more people.

If you look at FFXIV: ARR properly, you'll see an MMORPG trying to be an RPG again.
That's something I have personally NOT seen in a long time.
So for all it's faults and flaws, I don't mind needing to dismount to talk to npc's.
It's considered more polite, to get off your mount, when you are going to have a conversation with someone.
It's not really a big deal either, it's just a single click of a button.
People these days have got it too easy.

I am enjoying myself in FFXIV, I am also enjoying myself since I am taking the time to absorb the game properly.
I bought it at release but wasn't able to log in for one whole week after creating my character, errors all over the place.
Square-Enix gave out free play time for that time though so that's fair enough from my point of view.
My highest lvl character is at the moment 30, getting my job quest done.
No longer am I interested in grinding my ass off to get to top lvl as fast as possible, just to have nothing to do and quit the game.
It's simply foolish to do so.
Did WoW have an awesome end game at release?
Did all the other MMORPG's in the world have awesome end game at release?
None of them lacking?

Words are tricky things, they sometimes need to be used with precision.
For example, you probably can get away with "you are being dense about the subject at hand, and I'm not sure why" but will draw a moderation from saying "from this discussion it is obvious you are dense."
You have to be careful to keep it from sounding like an insult or attack, not only on a person, but in an official forum the actual game itself. You can say, "I really don't understand why they make us dismount in order to speak with npcs", but saying it more causastically as "what idiot developer thought it was a good idea to force players to dismount when speaking to npcs?" again will likely draw a ban.
Remember the culture here, in my business dealings with Japanese coworkers they really do go out of their way to phrase things on order to not insult, even when I'm pretty sure the are frustrated or angry with me over something which is quite different from western employees who seem to frequently have no such inhibitions. Open insults on SE forums just might not be welcome.
