Pre-CU has NOT been deleted as SOE swears.

They are a bunch of liars to the end. They released several statements saying they can no longer offer pre-cu servers because it no longer exists.
Okay #1 when you load SWG onto your PC, you are loading the pre-cu system and only after a few hours of patches and updates full of stacked crap does it become the new crap system.
#2 some of the server side copies are being ran on underground servers as we speak. Yea, thats right. People who had access took copies out and are currently running them. If they get caught and are shut down I wonder if SOE will admit they lied once again? Maybe they will denie it all and let those free.... yea thats right... free underground servers serve as a place where some of us can go and enjoy not being affiliated with a bunch of hacks like Torres, Smadley, George Lucas, and everyone but the 20+ devs who left SOE's SWG team already because of this.
Oh... Satao... your an ass and so is everyone else who shares a bed with the snakes at SOE.

1. What you have on your computer and what runs on a server are completely different. What you get on your computer is merely stuff to allow your game to communicate with the server side software.
2. That's not in SOE's hands though. Maybe it is true and there are underground servers out there running the pre-cu code, but it's not on SOE's systems.
Who knows if SOE has the code or not, I highly doubt it tho as they really have no need for it.
Problem is though, you can't go back because it'll be too much hassel!
Another problem is everyone will have a Jedi if they rolled back. You cant just take peoples chars away and us veterans would complain if they did!

They backed up the servers COMPLETELY before they did this. I'd be happy erasing EVERYTHING from the last 8 months to get back to the game I loved.
That means losing my Trando pistol.. 100 million credits and my YT, but so be it.

Didnt Julio Torres just say they "Could" do it but wont in the TV interview he gave?
I think I stated this already. They would have to add an additional client just like they do with test center. They may also need a special login server.
Costs soe may not be willing to pay. On a side note I am IMing you. I really want to play pre-cu swg. Give me an ip to check this out.

A rollback of 8 months would be crap. Everything I'd done in the last 8 months would have been a waste. I'd have no objections to a seperate server devoted to Pre-CU, dunno if I'd play it tho.
SOE never said that it was deleted. They said it was impossible.
They are telling the truth. They've borked that code so bad, 700 developers couldn't fix it, especially under this management.

I've never ever ever ever gone to an underground server... not even the UO PVP only ones....
But ya know... if someone PM'd me the addresses for a few of the SWG ones... I would probably thank them...
Y'see... UO didn't take my $500 worth of monthly fees and ram them up my rear till they got bought out by EA... SOE... well they did it all by themselves....

Who wants FIXED at this point. Just take a big-ol rollback in time and then we go foreward from there.

From the looks of your posts though, if they did roll it back 8 months I'd imagine you would not act on any of your objections other than "that was crap but here SOE take another $15 for the next wasted month"
