Did you ever see Street Fighter...I mean a movie starring Jean Claude Van DamwhydidIwastemymoney.... I am a fan of guild wars (over 800hrs) but I do not think the audience would like a collection of short stories connected by screen showing a loading bar....
I acctually didn't mind the Street Fighter movie lol. I also liked the Mortal Kombat movies (1&2) so I guess that says something about me then lol.

u guys are gettin me wrong here..i want an epic movie,a movie for all times..just think ....no cheezy street fighter/mortal combat crap, or house of the dead crap,,i mean somehting that we would actually liked if we played the game, something that u could say that it was the greatest movie ever...we need to crack the code man.lol,,,we need to give the people at taste of whats best about mmorpgs,adventure!..
I would have to say world of warcraft right now. only because its the most popular mmog right now. if WoW have eight million people playing with in two years and keep its hold on it, then we could be seeing a movie.
tho instead of making of movie, vivendi could invest in making a cartoon series instead. it would be lower cost and less risk then spending $50 million plus for a movie that might not profit.
Have played: CoH, DDO EQ2, FFXI, L2, HZ, SoR, and WW2 online
Maybe FFXI cause there has been Final Fantasy Spirits Within and Final Fantasy Advent Children so ofcourse they can make something to do with FFXI Don't you think?

Forget it. It's not going to happen. Rent "The Bible" or "Spartacus" from Netfix instead... and you won't even have to leave the comfort of your own home.

I agree with Signe here. You are in for a huge disappointment, because no video game will ever survive the inevitable Hollywood castration that will turn an idea with passable potential into a heap of garbage.

Nope this is why WoW wont work. Of course it seems to be the next logical step, you have a game thats doing great in sales so the next step is to make a movie (that will suck) to kill it off. Warcraft has gotten to big the stories are to commercial and a movie would fail big time.

City of Heroes... I can see it almost being a comedy... imagine a city where like 99% of its populace consists of super heroes... comic...
World of Warcraft... Alliance VS. Hoard... almost writes itself...
But the one I would love to see the most would be Lineage (not Lineage 2)... It would be kinda based around the original Lineage comic book, with the whole story of the pretender king and everything... Lineage 2 has a cool story too, but it's more about gods and that kind of stuff, while Lineage's story is much more... down to earth... more political and stuff
