Its turning intoo a great MMO game...

just wondering how it will fare as an MMO world?

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Meh, I'm still not that bothered about this game it just looks to similar art wise to WoW. I just don't see any reason to play this over WoW if your invested as many people are.

Also not so sure I'd want to play along side people who expect everything fun and enjoyable to be given to them free. They want free let them Play SW:TOR. F2P or not someone always pays and I don't really feel the need to be a whale for Mr entitlement player X.

In the end if you give it to them free they will whine its not good enough or the cash shop items are P2W or too expensive. F2P players frequently (but not always) never respect anything because they never had to work for anything. (as it was free)

You are in for a surprise my friend of how bad ESO actually is. Why do you think we have seen so few ingame videos from the devs compared to wildstar even though the game is coming out in a few months??

Ive played ESO beta and it was a massive disappointment in most areas.

Except that the shoe doesn't fit. There's so many differences between WoW and Wildstar that calling it a clone is just retarded - you can't say it's a clone just because both games has cartoony graphics (and even then there's plenty of difference in the style of cartoonish...ness).

I honestly didn't think we would see a lot of these "its a wow clone"-posts simply because of how radically different the combat-system is in Wildstar, but i guess i was wrong...

Why is there so much hate for this game?!  The staff here seems to genuinely enjoy it *gasp*.  There can only be one explanation, they were paid off!  Lol!  It just does not make sense that would they put their credibility on the line, for a couple of extra dollars.

From what I have seen so far, it looks to be a fun game.  The combat looks engaging, the story seems entertaining, the warplots sound amazing.  If you think it looks like a wow clone, "insert generic criticism here", and you don't want to play it, then just move on.  No reason to attack the staff here and the people who are excited about it.  I keep seeing it compared to the "failures" GW2 and SWTOR, but I enjoyed both of those games.  Maybe I just have a different perspective but if I play a game for 6 months imo its a pretty damn good game.

Tab target, face enemy, mash buttons till enemy dies which consist of playing animations and rolling dice to see if you hit and how hard. They may fancy it up a bit and call it free form, but it all boils down to the same thing that 100 other MMOs do. Add in quests givers with symbols over their head, raiding etc. You cant fool us.

I think it looks like Wildstar to me, a new approach to MMO without a doubt, it doesn't look like anything else, you people are being silly. lol Comparing it to WoW or SWTOR is you being in doubt not excepting what you see and read. The game will be the best MMO ever made hands down, only MMO that will be competition will be Everquest Next!

SWTOR has it's own look, all of you who compare that character are nuts I played SWTOR for over 1 year and see no comparing them at all. rofl

Only thing that is remotely like WoW is the cartoon style graphics that are top notch. This article was superbly written, with excitement that was real, Wildstar is and will be fun to play no doubt! ^_^

This article smells of payoff. It should not be trusted because if it is not the age old publisher paying off the newsies then it calls into question the authors judgement and sanity. All I can say is the classic line from 16 Candles . . .  I do not think that word means what you think it means  <sic> formidable

My hate is that it has 600-man (yes, I am overstating this number...) dungeons and when I asked in MMORPG.COM about whether there was a duty finder a la FFXIV to get a party for you because most people don't have 599 friends the response was basically "You are lame and we want our 600 man dungeons and we want to make it really difficult to get a 600 man party because that shows how 1337 you are."

I'm not joking.  Look up my post history and find this post and the responses to it.

I want to like the game but the fans seems to be so rabid and hardcore that I suspect they all never sleep and all weigh 400 or so lbs.  They are of course not married with kids and a job like myself, or they would welcome a means to find 600-man parties easier.

Only slightly tongue-in-cheek....  It's too bad, because I like the graphics...

I don't understand all the hate I'm seeing for this game. Some are throwing around marketing hype conspiracies, some are saying it looks cartoon-y and kid-like, others are saying that it's a mindless WoW clone. Look, I played WoW from vanilla through WotLK and even came back for MoP and I can say with all certainty that this is not a WoW clone. Wildstar looks to bring back what made WoW so good in vanilla and TBC and I could not be happier. If people could just get over their immaturity (doubtful) and realize that this game is the way it is and won't change dramatically then they could go on with their lives in happiness and won't have to worry.

You are dead wrong.  I'm in the beta.  I have actual game play time.  Let me tell you.  This game is not Tab target lol.  Troll somewhere else please.

It's "edgy and cool" to hate everything nowadays.  Apparently it's also completely acceptable to ignore logic and base arguments on emotion (or nothing at all).

I think the only safe and true comment we can make at this point is "I think the game looks (great/ok/bad) based on the screenshots and reviews that are available.  I will be able to confirm this opinion once I have had a chance to actually play the game."

I suggest you do the same. Stop reading comments you don't like if you are going to personally insult the people who make them. Just accept criticism  is the way it is and wont change dramatically. Go on with your life in happiness and don't worry.

Get used to the warnings and bans. The moderators are ridiculous on this site and will ban/warn you for anything that doesn't contribute to the game hype machine so therefor must be "trolling". I got a temp ban because I made a sarcastic comment that "mocked" a game. I kid you not that was their explanation. At that point I realized trying to talk to these people was pointless.

    Incoming "trolling" warning.

I am sure the game will have a good crowd that follows it, for me it reads like every other theme park mmo on the market  .. I am gona take a pass on wildstar, myself not all games are for everyone and I don't think this one would hold my intrest for very long, seems to lack depth from what I read , but that is my personal taste, I wish the game and fans the best and a long run..:)
