Wildstar will KILL TESO!

    The developer said they want to please hardcore raiders because they want to separate the greater players from the average players. They want you to walk in to a city with insane gear and have casuals be like "wow thats awesome! How do I get that!" 

     

    These guys get it. A total original IP with an identity. 

    TESO is not MMO enough for MMO fans and not skyrim enough for ES fans.

    I really don't see why this fanboyism is needed, both games will come out soonish, both will attract different or the same players. And I hope both will finally bring something new to the rather stale MMORPG genre.

    "It does not take itself seriously" ,that is a good thing?A developer darn well better take his product seriously.

    Personally if i had a choice it would be ESO,Wildstar offers me nothing and looks bad doing it.

    If i sat down to design a game and looked at WS for answers there is nothing there i would copy for my game.If you have nothing to offer,then yoru game had at least look good,i want nice armor,weapons,creatures,particle effects and spell and combat animations,yes graphics really do matter a lot.As well if i am going to get into housing which i rarely do ,but i do want it in my game,i want it to look really good.

    I also cannot stand the idea of separating game modes,like an adventuring mode,really dumb idea imo.

    Well enough about WS,i think ESO will have it's own problems trying to get the game noticed,not nearly enough marketing.

    I think more people will subscribe to TESO at first based on IP popularity.  No doubt about it.  I think during the lifespan of these two games, Wildstar will definitely come out on top in both popularity and critical acclaim.  I plan to play them both, though.

    Look.  I love Wildstar.  Have been following it for 5+ years.  But, you are doing Wildstar a disservice with this type of post.  This type of thread never creates any productive conversation about the game.  Please stop.
