    Play as an imperial huh?

Yeah, that'll be a cash shop item as soon as they reveal "the amazing and good for the players" cash shop.

I like it all except the pets.  I really didn't want to see pets in the game.

First, lol. Second, INB4 P2W. Paying for race (which has racial abilities, we dont know what the Imperial racials are), and also horse (wonder if its usable at lvl 1, or you just get it early and have to wait to use?

Gonna be alot of backlash over this I believe once the interwebs at large start arguing over this. Cant wait :)

Play as an Imperial - don't think it's a race like a lot of people are speculating, but armor or costume piece to make you look like an Imperial.

Looks like an awesome special edition.  There was never going be an offering that didn't cause backlash.  Either there is backlash because the perks suck, and why make a version that costs more if you aren't going to include anything good, or there is backlash because the perks don't suck, and why are you letting people who spend more get more!

The "Imperial edition" leads me to think it is much more than the horse and a outfit.

Backlash by children/students/unemployed maybe but us gamers in the largest demographic of 31-50 have the most disposable income available with a relaxed attitude to pay to defeat life TIME sync's. Time is the only real currency we all possess - when you're young you're a millionaire and when you're older not so much.

Of course it is, the others are just grasping at straws cuz they got nothing good to cry about... they are the first to pre-order...

Maybe it is just some fluff and not a race.

I just dont like the mudcrab pet stuff, I can understand something like a dog or something but crabs and other pets that would be considered odd just looks retarded to me when I see it in a game.

All the imperial race thing means is you will be able to select the "Already included race" for the other two alliances, races are alliance locked.  Im sure this will be deleted by the forum nazis here but dont freak out its not a game breaking ordeal.  But mudcrab pet omfg... dibs on teh mudcrab.

I don't see Imperial in the Race List.  Where were Imperials an "Already included race"?

Lol was thinking that box and art book looked pretty nice then I saw you can play as an Imperial and went WHAT!  Never saw that coming. I think it will be the actual race itself not some armour like people mentioned.

Never bought a limited edition before for any mmo but this looks tempting.

Having a race that is available to all factions is tantamount to heresy in a 3 sided Realm versus Realm PvP MMO.

Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

Yes, having a human race available to all factions when 2 of the 3 factions already have human races is just lunacy.

Would only be problematic for Aldmeri faction because they dont have a human race.

Agree. That pet doesn't make sense at all. I hope it's changed to something else now that the game went M for mature lol

It actually makes perfect sense to do the Imperial race this way.  It was, after all, the last of the traditional Elder Scrolls options not assigned to a faction, and obviously they couldn't just assign it to one and have the others be a race short of an equal share.  Ten is not divisible by three, in case you were unaware.

They could, however, assign it to all three without having to own a collectors edition.

Sure, but then they would have to come up with something equally cool for the collector's edition, and people would just complain about that instead.  There is literally no way they could have handled in game bonuses that wouldn't have caused someone to complain.  Their only choice was which group to irritate.  Considering they are starting sub-only, the cheapskate crowd was probably a good choice.
