It still blows my mind that they got rid of all those cool classes for these cookie cutter, everyone looks and does the samething ones. i like the twitch shooting part of combat. but you cant use twitch skill to dodge or nothing. stuff hits with melee 13- 20 feet away at times. latency issues sure even on my 8 mb connection from Comcastic comcast. feels like a darn closed beta for sure. They should allow at least 4 charactor slots so at least a person can have one crafter on a server and close to half the class types for fun factor.

I'm kind of getting off topic and hijacking the post my bad, i could talk for hours about issues with this game. I'll play till jan 3 but after that nah hell no.

Anyhow let me stop.

Wouldn't put it past them since they had Tiggs lie about the NGE being a mislabeled advertisement before the NGE... Sounds to me like they want people to resub and fool them with a free 15 day trial (that you can probably only get with a credit card?)

Like I said, I uninstalled the game, and I dont plan on returning ever.

BF2 is where my heart is now. And if I need my jedi fix, I light up my force FX saber and wave it around for a few then put it back on my desk.

What I find the most disturbing out of that ad is the use of leveling items. I don't even know where to begin with that one. Items granting levels have been a no no since the old pen and paper days. It ignores the standard rules of play, makes that learning curve even steeper and the end result is a cheapened sense of satisfaction that goes away quickly or worse is replaced with a desire to find another. I kinda group leveling items with those pay to level you services that people are offering nowdays. Whats the point of playing the game when someone or something allows you to bypass earning and learning your toon? Great experience off of a quest that made you work your butt off to get it - yeah thats good but random drops?

And exactly what does that do to your economy? Gouging will be rampant, people will be hitting levels without having the cash that they would normally earn while attaining the level to pay for the next level...

Nah, I say this idea is born from tree of desperation. Its not a well thought out "gift" to players and is detrimental more than it is helpful. Instead of wasting manpower on these gimmicks, they should be working more on fixes and adding post30 content. If I were a guessing man, I would say someone wants to bring up some numbers before a business quarter ends. Pressure most be coming from uptop to justify this action and then again its the same pressure that got them into this mess.

ROTFLMAO! That is an outright lie.

First that didn't work and harvestors still seem to be having problems of emptying harvestor hoppers on players. Not happy about that trust me.

Second, what do you need resources and traders for? Just loot you little loot whore monkey's.

Third, if that is the trader content you are all fooked.

I wonder if it occurred to them the reaction of anyone that wasn't already aware of what they've done to destroy the game and comes back as a result of that ad? "WTF do you mean my character can't be (insert profession here) anymore?" They don't feel the vets that were still playing were giving them enough bad press? They felt the need to make the vets that were already gone angry at the destruction of their characters after being misled that they could come back and play them? How did that business meeting go,
Smedley "Lets hear some ideas about how we create even more negative word of mouth against us."
Torres "Lets invite all the players back that left because they were angry about us nerfing the creature handler profession to show them that we nerfed it right out of existence."

I'm sorry to see this game die, was fun to be a Master Creature Handler while it lasted, for nearly 3 years. Now? They manage to keep me adicted to the forums, waiting for the end. Why? They killed my profession, so I hope those responsable rot in hell, and that this lack of consideration towards veterans becomes a total failure. Free time? For what? I'm not respecing, I am and will remain a MCH.

I tried the NGE with a new character on a European server, something that didn't exist when the game was launched, a Jedi to be more exact. Didn't manage to turn me away from WOW, where I am treaded like "customer is always right" " and where when something is wrong, which is quite rare, they explain in detail what went wrong and offer us free game time in apology. I even unsubscribed all SOE newsletters, since I also played for a bit EQ2 - nice graphics, but on evil side NPCs talk aggressively to players, unlike on WOW where there is mainly a war, not exactly good or evil, so the NPCs respect us if we belong to their faction - but didn't like it that much, and also Matrix Online, a deserted game that will soon, if not already, have that in comum with SWG.

Only a revert would maybe save this game, and yet I sense most veterans have been pushed too far to even consider returning now. And no, I wont fall to the Dark Side, I wont become a clone, I don't have to, there are so many other games offering variety, I wont even mind they are not Sci-fi.

Mustafar adicted me with the new quests, NGE was the antidote to that. Shame on whoever decided to implement the profession removal, and to be honest this new shooting system is also not the kind of combat I want on a MMORPG. Lol, try that on EQ2 also, and see how many players will remain, SOE.

Hey Hext... I wouldn't dream of telling you what to do with your company, but I got a suggestion. Hopefully enough of us are angry to prove them VERY wrong. I couldn't believe what load of condescending BS the letter announcing NGE was. I thought it had to be a joke because there was no way they were stupid enough to treat their customers that way.

Well it wasn't a joke which is sad and this add you put here is even sadder. I for one have used my 15 free days to logon to the SWG forums and tell them what a POS game it is now

OMG you have to be kidding me!!! To anyone reading this DO NOT BUY GALAXIES!!! SOE are liers and theives!!! I played for a long time and built my character to a perfect image of how i would be!!! ALL and i mean ALL of my stuff and choices are worthless after they braught out this joke of a change!!! NGE ruined the game and they will do it again dont trust them at all!!! and on top of all that the game is barley out of beta but it has been out for two years !!! When you jump you do the running man....i havnt seen that since an 8 bit system!!! Trust me is a 1/10 and im insulted that this site would lead you on like that for som publicity!!! TRUST ME DONT BUY THE GAME IT IS REALLY BAD!!! the game was amazing for the last 2.5 years but now its a joke save yourself the time!!

Sweet, more features that people may like, get use to, count on to work, then get to enjoy constant nerfing only to then have it removed because it doesnt bring in noobs. Then they will implement A dice based system hoping to get the dungeons and dragons market.

Glad I cancelled all my SOE email lists. I still subscribe to LA newsletters so I occasionally get garbage about SWG from them but at least I don't get the crap from SOE any longer... matter of fact I have all of SOE's URL's on my block list on my firewall now.
