In both cases you were outplayed. Time to improve your skills / teamwork / learn to interrupt casters.
DAoC is about tactics. A great group can destroy a mediocre zerg. In most other games it's about who has the most people. That's one of the reasons why they fail.

Ultimates and the lack of cooldowns allow the same thing in ESO. The skillcap is extremely high for team tactics. If you have a light-armored Nightblade focused on mana regen, you can have one guy permanently CC ~2-3 of the opposing team on his own.
