Looks like Warhammer Online, and with about the same GFX.
The big question is, does the RvR matter or is it just flipping keeps back and forth for some realm points?
First I was like HUH! Warhammer?, then I thought I might have a different more faded memory of Warhammer so took a spin on youtube vids but found out my memory wasn't faded. Sorry but really can't see anything Warhammery or even the GFX to be on the same lvl as it is in TESO.
OP thanks for posting.
Funny I like everything about the game but still not pre-ordering. Then again I never have pre-ordered a MMORPG. I do however pe-order several singleplayer games and with those most of time I don't even have all the info that MMO or MMORPG provide before release.
Originally posted by SoulTrapOnSelf Out of the 3 factions, DC will be steam rolled constantly. That faction is good for PvE and RP though. I see AD and EP running the show.
That makes no sense at all, since Cyrodiil will be in campaigns of about 2000 people, and now with the CE any race can join any faction.
I really enjoyed that video. That guy looked invincible lol. I still don't like the fact that you can sneak with hundreds around you in an open area with no shadows, trees or anything and nobody can see you. It just feels unrealistic to me as opposed to invisibility on a more limited scale which would make more sense. I think sneak is too powerful for everyone, though I realize stamina plays a big factor. Anyway, can't wait to try :-).

Same GFX ? did we watch the same video. because ESO is nothing like war in GFX.
Well maybe it is because I have played Skyrim since then and compared to Skyrim, it looks like WAR. But I am sure the quality of the GFX is higher than WAR was, seeing as it was a five year old MMO.
Still, GW 2 seems to look better but cant tell until I actually play the game.
Not sure if this has been posted here or not, but here is some great footage that really shows off the gameplay, sights and sounds of RvR. Great stuff!
That video is a complete turn off for me im afraid, thankfully there is more to pvp than zerging mindlessly but this game makes the zerg = win philosophy ring truer than ever before.
Zerg = win
Stealth = win
CC = win
Thats what this video shows.
I don't get the crybabies who whine about zergs in every post they make. It's IMPOSSIBLE to design a game with large scale warfare without zergs. Just get that through your collective heads. Process. Accept.
Not true at all. In games like Eve, a small organised team can destroy larger, more disorganised teams.
Disregarding that, there are tons of ways to make games less prone to zerging, such as choke points and guerilla style attrition. But seeing as this game has no collision between PCs, choke points will be less useful. And I assume the death penalty is next to nothing, as most ThemeParks, which makes attrition tactics less useful as well.
However, if CC is strong in this game, then that would also be a valid tactic for smaller teams to destroy larger ones. We will see I guess.

It's funny that you mention that. Because the death penalty in ESO is supposed to be a lot harsher than it is in GW2. I think Eve's death penalty is probably a little too harsh for most people's taste. The main thing for me is that it needs some weight. In GW2, pretty much everybody can rezz without limit. So you get these annoying zerg fests that never end. It's hard to have strategic wins when people who play their characters badly can just pop back into battle in no time flat. We'll see how harsh ESO's death penalty is by comparison, but from what I've heard so far, I'm encouraged.
Too bad the game has horrible combat and animations. Would be like Titanfall coming out with horrible aiming and choppy frame rates, it kills the base game.

So you have not played the game, but you know what it looks like, and how it plays, and you think it looks like Warhammer? Pretty baller! Oh, wait, you were looking to offer a credible opinion and comparison? Never mind then......
Seriously though go take a spin in beta. Does Guild Wars look pretty? Absolutely, ESO plays far, far better, with no lag during large fights, something that it took GW2 quite a long time fix for most players. A smooth and fluid PvP.
Personally, I don't think it's the best looking or flashiest game around, but the performance in RvR is pretty damn impressive, it's something they absolutely got right, out of the gate.
Thx for sharing the vid op. This might have sold me on a pre order. The more I see of this game, the more I start to like it. You can fire bolts of lightning off which actually look and sound pretty cool. You can charge up to your enemy with your 2h and whack him. Stealth seems to be pretty viable and you can do this all on one character.
The art style I find much more appealing than gw2 and the sieges look awesome. Only thing I dont really like is those red circles. I dont want to be reminded of gw2 at all because I loathed that games pvp and I play mmo's to pvp alot. Now besides those red circles everything else looked great. I'm very interested to see how classes and abilities will balance out when everyone is maxed.
I plan to hit lvl 10 and level pretty much to max in cyrodil. Looks like gonna be fun times.
Looks like everything that is wrong with PvP these days all wrapped up into one game.
Maybe they'll have an open PvP server so you can get into some PvP that matters instead of zergy base trading.
Guess you weren't a fan of DAoC. Considering it's almost identical, but larger scale & better graphics. Heck, it's even designed by the same person.
In which case, this clearly isn't the game for you.
Different styles of pvp cater to different players. Any game that has pvp and more than a few people playing it will have zergs. If you prefer small-scale gank / griefer- based pvp there are games for that too.

That's a bit of an exaggeration tbh.
Large fights do lag, sorry. Overall there is LESS lag than GW2 has, though. But I have experienced the same exact lag w/ ESO that I have w/ GW2 during large keep sieges (the kind where it's so bad you can barely auto-attack). All depends on which part of the mega-server you are playing in.
Graphics-wise, it's hard to say which is more optimized. GW2's graphics have a lot more going on than people realize, personal preferences aside. ESO's aren't bad (unless you compare them to certain single-player titles), but they are definitely simplified for the MMO gameplay. They certainly work, but they toned down a number of things.
Really, what it comes down to is primarily the NET code. Of which I would say that is definitely more optimized than GW2's.

Hehe, you're trying so hard, but your crusade against this game sinks without a trace. Poor baby!

Here's an example video of a small group taking out a much larger group that approached them in a disorganized way. Use of synergies in their abilities and CCs do add a lot of tactics that a smaller group can utilize to take out larger numbers.

Great videos.
I really can't wait to play this game now. Trying to get my whole guild into it.
(Uzik ibnYaraq in game. Always willing to help.)

There Is Always Hope!
Playing: FFXIV, DnL, and World of Warships
Waiting on: Ashes of Creation
I find this to my interest. I did not play a bow character, but I saw everyone whimpering about how bad bow was. Guess they were wrong.
Edit - I take it back, that archer is more than twice than lvl than most of those players.

People remember WAR graphics very different than i remember, ESO graphics and optimization are so much better than war or gw2.
I really like that video and specially the second part the siege in the night, love the lighting and fire effects.
