How about this:
131hrs to reach the end of Deus Ex for the first time.
And it had 2 more endings more to play through.

Um, yes I can. What could you not do? Can get to max level in about 40+ hours game play now. What can't you do in the remaining time? No exaggeration needed. I'm still subbed to WoW, so I feel I can actually give a good estimate of what I can and cannot accomplish in a given time.

With this game imma take my time, and im happy with 6 months to end game or even a year to reach the end level. THe only concern of mine is this game gonna keep me that long?
It's not how YOU specifically play a game. That doesn't mean it's the definitive answer for everyone else in the world. I play MMOs for endgame content, usually PvP. I have played multiple games for years this way. Just because you like to do it one way doesn't mean it's "the way you play a game."
Thank you all for all of the interesting responses :-). I'm glad I'm not alone that about 50% of those who voted were 2-3 months or longer. I totally understand that for those who will do it in a month or shorter..........
1) They have a lot more time on their hands to game either via PVE or PVP :-).
2) They don't care about the lore or story, just the ability to get to the end as fast as possible simply because that is either their thing or because for them the enjoyment begins at 50 (either for PVP or other reasons).
My only concern is what a few pointed out. If you do rush to end level because you either have that much time to do so or racing to the end is your thing, please don't complain that you've run out of content before Zenimax has a chance to provide content updates in their 4-6 week window timeline...okaaaay? lol At least try the 50+ and 50++ content first, then you can complain. :-) hehe
I have a son under 3 who gets the majority of my attention, and one more queued up in the factory set to deploy in June. I'll be lucky to get to level cap by this time next year.

Using boosts and heirlooms to hit level 90 isn't the same as claiming 'i can do almost everything WOW has to offer'. WOW is a gigantic game and yes you are exaggerating.

Yes you can, you're underestimating how easy WoW is/has become.
Discussion isn't about easy but doing everything the game has to offer in less than 100 hours. I am already 300+ hours into the game and i have just scratched the surface in terms of content. Rushing to lvl 90 isn't same as 'doing everything that game has to offer'.

It is for all of us who are going to try to max as fast as possible.
You do know that game is designed the way that you will end up with much weaker char, than if you would take your time, right?
It is because you will miss all that additional skill points, you might get from skyshards. You cannot quickly find them (at least during first months, until their position will be discovered and posted on internet), you going to need to explore a lot.

You can still explore after you reach max.

I plan on taking my sweet ass time. There is so much in the game, that I feel like I'm doing a disservice to myself by not experiencing it fully, at my own pace. I'm also not what I would consider a hardcore raider. So I really have no great interest in reaching max level as quickly as others. I'll get there eventually, and when I do, I'll kick your teeth in.

Yes, and it will not take less time, but more, because you will need to go back. So more effective way to get end game char with all skill points is not to rush too much.

That sounds interesting. If the mobs don't level with you then you should be able to explore faster and do the quests you missed faster also. If to many people are leveling fast the Devs may nerf stuff making it take even longer for those who are taking their time to level, which is another reason why some people level quickly, they know when the game goes live anything found to be op will probably be nerfed and they will have at least one high level character before this happens to help supply their alts.
I don't power level. These are just my musings on the topic.

I don't really care; server firsts are worthless. Its like saying you have the world record for sitting on a toilet for the longest consecutive span of time.
The only reason I would rush is for AvA and I have come to the conclusion that is a large mistake anyway. People are just getting confused by competitive urges into putting themselves into bad situations.
The AvA lay of the land will dramatically change after two months. Entire guilds will re-roll and relevel or whatever, Top-tier campaigns will become mid-tier because some guild left. etc etc.
All this rushing is just silly. But I know a lot of people will do it anyway, more power to you. Just don't fool yourselves into believe there is any real thought or substance behind the value of it.
Exactly about server firsts like hitting 50 first, Why would anybody brag about saying, hey I never ever leave my computer so I can play a video game literally 16 hours a day. To me people that do that, I immediately think, he doesn't work, has no friends or social life, never goes outside, never gets any exercises, eats at his computer while he games, doesn't take a shower but once every other day probably, etc.
Now its another thing if its a Raid Boss and it takes a server 6 months to down the boss and your guild does it because you are very good player with a lot of skill.
Also its 100% impossible for developers to keep enough new content for those types of players. Maybe the treadmill type of content but not actual new content because when they patch it in, they will blow through it in a day.

It's the latter type of people who always complain "Bored, there's nothing to do" as well. That is an MMO aspect that I'm hoping people realize is not a TES quality. That is one part at least I feel Zenimax is getting right...promoting exploration, putting in little things like unique crafting stations, random "off the beaten path" quests, and so forth. As I've mentioned before, ESO is less of a "fast food" MMO and more of a fine wine or steak and lobster dinner meant to be savored and not rushed through...

Can't have that in MMOs, because the population in MMOs won't sit down to eat a proper meal. MMO's are every bit like this video...

Lowest common denominator sells. Fancy dinners also don't become fancy for long because...it becomes common.
At most in a MMO is try to strike a happy medium of features and fun, because anything else is niched game play.
Lol funny video, but I don't think this video represents most folks who will subscribe to this game :-). What you showed is the Wildstar audience p. :-)

I know we are paying a huge subscription but I am going to take my time even going to explore a bit and get my moneys worth.
this game should not go free to play, every one must pay but if we that support the developers have to pay the most so be it.
this is the kind of games I want to play, not the crap of last year.
God i hope it takes around 3 to 6 months to reach cap and do all the zones.
When that runs out i'm quitting because pvp is not worth paying money for
