It's great to have limited time content, especially when it feels like you're taking part in it. For 'flavor' and an experience, I really enjoyed the Bazaar of the Four Winds. It was a completely different, and vertical, take on a new area. Loved it.
I haven't been able to be there for all of them... but it's still hard to pick just one. Mad King Thorn's first entrance, the marionette fight, anything with Majorie and Kasmeer (especially the investigation bar scene with all of the npcs chatting and working through the evidence)... there were some good ones.
The best has to be the current Escape from LA (love the pun) though. I love how they did it, how it has real feeling behind it, especially if you're a long time GW player. It's been one of my more epic mmo moments.
To me it was when the Mad King played 'Your Mad King says' with us all in Lions Arch. It wasn't an intense battle as other events, but it was fun, I found the voice-over good and it was hilarious to play it with so many other players. I also liked that everyone could be a part of it, new and old.
I remember when I destroyed the Tower of Nightmares and watched it collapse from afar. It was one of the most satisfying thing I've felt in the Living World storyline. The climb to the top of the tower was just as difficult when it first came out, seeing it fall was epic. The cutscene was gorgeous and the aftermath was a huge success. Hats off to the studio.
Escape from Lion's Arch. It has brought back great memories from the GW and Lion's Arch adventures in the original game. Experiencing it in both games is a unique feeling.
Perhaps it's a case of current content but I find myself enjoying the ongoing Escape from Lion's Arch the most.
Why?
They've taken one of the -- if not THE -- most iconic things about the game and have made it fair game, have destroyed it. It's like experiencing a beloved book/film/show character die.
Best moment definitely was that I deleted the letter of instructions at Queens Jubilee. Because of this i was forced to search everywere on the map and ask many other players only to find the NPC that I need to talk with to get forward with the missions!
Second was the firework in LA at Bash of the Dragon. There were so many people which are waiting for the beginning. Then when the firework starts all of them started to dance...that was amazing! Link to the video:
I think the living story has really started to gain headway. I really like where it is going. But if I had to pick a particular living story update that was my favorite it would be the Bazaar of the Four Winds. I loved the different movement mechanics they put in. Sanctum Sprint is probably my favorite mini game to date. And finally we had the Zephyrites who take the mantle of the Brotherhood and protect Glint's legacy.
Plus as a jumping puzzle enthusiast, the Sky Crystal hunt was great for me.
My Favorite part was playing during the Queen's Jubilee and taking part in the Queen's Gauntlet. And the best part of that was beating Liadri to get my Mini Liadri.

What is the point of giving the game away to people that already have the game? Kind of does not make much sense.
Never played it so it is rather hard to give you a living story I liked.
When we get to kill Scarlet... better make it happen anet.

THE QUEEN JUBILE !!! A good arena with amazing warriors and numerous moooonsters !
Have fun ^_^
A bunch of my friends play GW2, I've been dying to get in on this! One of the least talked about best MMOs out there IMHO.
-Cheers
I was particularly impressed by the first time I saw the Twisted Marionette descend for the event. They really did an epic job on that event imo.
I also will always remember the Mad King's arrival in Lion's Arch for the first Halloween event. Always loved the Mad King lore in GW
