imo picking a race based on those racial bonuses and not the race that u liked just for the tiny bit of extra power that could give u, then you're playing games for the wrong reason
Why do many PvPers want every class/job/race to be carbon copies of each other so they can be "balanced"? If that is what you are looking for, there are many games out there already like that. Some games should be based on team work and filling a slot in a team not on your 1v1 fighting ability. I like PvP but hate it in MMOs because this always comes up.
The balancing is being tested in the private beta test. I think you put too much weight on the real value of the racials. Most of the stats are easily soft capped, doing it with racial or buff on armor is irrelevant if it the end you can have exactly the same stats.
I voted no aswell, since if you should remove racial bonuses from cyrodill then whats the point in haveing racial bonuses at all besides for PVE? and then its only gonna end up with people only wanting to grp with certian racial tank spec's or healer's
no one will be over powered in any way just since they picked a certian race
I'm glad that race plays a big role in your character's stats and how they play. Although one race may be better in one field of the game, another is better in a different field. So it evens out, except Argonian and Nord, their racials are pretty weak. What makes it worse is they are on the same faction, so in PvP Ebonheart isn't going to do very well. Aldmeri is going to do great though :P

Exactly, your able to softcap all the racial abilities. It only really changes what enchants/traits you are going to need. Although I guess there might be a small advantage during leveling.
Yeah I said it before, once you get over a certain number in a stat, you start to get diminshed returns. I've had an orc that had it in armor since level 6 lol. You still get more armor, but it's less effective. So for the min/maxers you can't just dump everything into a single stat.
No. If your team is losing ground, it isn't because of racial bonuses. Coordinated effort and proper planning of targets is how you win, not min/maxing. Let it go.

RPG's are about building a character, not about homogeneity. Not everyone should be the same, if you want completely equal footing, just go play counter strike. It's about synergy and working with others, not "how come my preferred class/race can't always be best?"
That mentality needs to stop, it does nothing but diminish the quality of games.
