So I saw yesterday that the WoD pre-purchase has shown up in my Battle.net account. The ship date is listed as "Before 12/20/2014" Lol.
I think that WoW has done similar shenanigans in the past (specifically with SWTOR, I think? Maybe Rift?) Either way. Do you think that the vagueness of the WoD ship date is intentionally vague to cast a shadow on Wildstar? Will that date be immediately pushed up as soon as Wildstar announces a firm date?

They will probably do what Wildstar is doing to ESO, and making it two months after launch, so they can grab all the game hoppers.
It's a sign of respect by all parties if that is true. I don't expect to see the other big wigs steal any of ESO's thunder for launch either. Maybe Gw2 might try.
Blizzard are pulling those low tactics by releasing diablo3 4 days before ESO.That's typical blizzard though.

I really hope this isn't the case. The game is in need of a lot more polishing. It's a disservice to the game and what they are aiming for to release it too early.

I believe what you are playing in closed beta is an older build and they have a much newer build in internal testing with many bugs already fixed. Also 3 months is a long time to fix/imrove stuff, just look at what ZOS is doing with TESO, changing fundamental game mechanics (collision detection, phasing etc.) just a few weeks before launch!

lol i was exactly like this for Wildstar, i have cbt for it as well but after hitting 32( so my account didnt get banned) i didnt want to spoil it so i just put it on pause

Seriously, who the hell cares about carebear or not. I just want the game to be fun. And in most parts, Full-out PvP is nothing more than ganking and griefing. I'm sorry you can't see that. I've stopped ESO beta because I want to enjoy launch. I'll likely enjoy Wildstars launch too. And then I'll dabble about which sub I'll keep.
If those dates are correct that would mean the headstart would start on a Saturday. I have never seen a headstart begin on a Saturday. It is almost a Thursday. Saturday is a terrible day as it will mean the game will be more flooded with players the first few hours. This makes me question those dates as not realistic.

A shame then. From what I have played of it (played it to death since December and actually testing/submitting bug reports), this game is in need of a lot more tweaking.
