It always cracks me up to see these super zerg guilds claim PVP superiority then go and stack their faction with other similar guilds, and wonder why everyone gets bored 3 months later.
Well, it depends in what campaign these PvP guilds are playing. If you access a campaign where your faction doesn't have enough PvPers or PvP guilds, get ready to become cattle. I see some of the big zerg PvP guilds going after a "pug campaign" in order to get the emperor skill line for the guild leader and his buddies as soon as possible. And yes I know zergs sometimes don't play effectively, but for the most part 99.9% of the zergs faceroll everything with minimum coordination.
They got griefed out of the beta and never showed up since in any of the competitive PvP servers (Tyranny & Cimmeria). At any rate, looking forward to fighting all these clans come launch.
Originally posted by Waddy After looking through the abilities and playing a little in the beta, I have 0 hope this game will replace DAOC as the new best of all time for RvR. This is going to be more like GW2, skills seem like they're going to be long cool down and do low damage... If you don't have spammable spells and large amounts of damage possible in AOE you wont have bomb groups and casters are more than likely going to lose horribly to melees due to just raw auto attacks being the majority of the dps, I'd love to see more but the beta was so limited and there really isn't much else to go on but a skill calculator.
There are siege weapons found in RvR such as oil pots, trebuchets, ballistas that could help destroy large group of people. You could even hire mercenaries (NPCs) if you wish. There is no cooldown in this game, where did you get that misinformation? Of course, casters are more likely to get hurt in a realistic point of view because they are generally wearing light armor. Still, they could take a hit as compared to your usual caster.

I've been in the PTS for quite a while now. Actually, the ranged, sorc & bows have been the dominant classes in Cyrodiil.
So many hyped MMOs failed in the last couples years but this time tho I think there is something special about this game.It is the type of games that so many guilds were waiting for. Is this game the best game ever created? No... Is this game going to retain the amount of players that were there at launch? Probably not. I agree they have made marketing mistakes but at the end of the day they came up with something new and fresh within the mmo industry. A lot of people are starting to realize this game will not go free to play and it will not fail. Big guilds and alliances, they come, they go but trust me this game is likely to be number 1 pvp title for a long time and archage Release wont affect much.
If they keep listening to the community like they have been doing thus far, this will be the next DAoC.
But unfortunatly, i don't have much faith they'll be focusing on it. If i'm proven wrong, than happy day.
If you watched the credit, there's a team leader for PvP. They are probably focusing on each of the aspects of the game.

I would like to warn all the lilttle supposedly (Elitist PvPers) with this Message.
Daggerfall Covenant will host the most feared PvPers on any title i could come up with. KoS from Dark Age of Camelot... Sinister, UDL, Lords of Death and many other zerg coming from Darkfall Online. Guilds that made their mark in every big pvp titles Like Shadow Bain, Asherons's Call, UO.
Here i am not saying there are no good clans on the other factions, but I like to think the Veterans will show up and teach the younger generation how pvp is meant to be done.
Real bad ass here guys real bad ass!!! i am scared.

Sadly, this games seems to follow the same pattern as others, range, casters, bows rule PVP. Why chase a guy around with a stick when you can just nuke him. Guess you gotta go full on cc to play Melee. Was hoping ESO would be different. *sigh*
and have the best gear, just to find out that they are missing 120 out of the 300 skillpoints...which require them to go back to all the old zomes which have no challenge at all, just to find those missing skillpoints they need for their power setup..
Seriously?
For some reason you seem to hold the view that hardcore pvpers are pretty "dumb" for lack of a better word. You really think people who enjoy crushing their opposition do not have the skyshard location maps bookmarked?
If I were you, I'd keep my in game name, faction, and campaign secret. Otherwise, all those clearly not too bright, skillpoint deprived hardcore pvpers may decide to kill you over and over just for giggles.
Now this is PVP trash talk, watch your back Lord.Bachus
I remember when people played games to just have some fun, not to prove their internet manhood was impressive.
I guess times have changed and instead of kids with £200 cars playing crap music on £400 stereo's they installed into the cars while parks outside the nightclubs they cannot get into because they can't afford the £10 entry fee has simply changed to trying to impress on the web!
Go teenage hormones!
Except if internet manhood is all you have then are you really a man? If it wasn't for teenage hormones and in general pure prick attitudes of teenagers and the pre adult 20s would we have any memories or regrets to look back on? Personally I would love to go back in time and stomp my own butt from 17-23. Maybe I am too cynical and pessimistic but perhaps being good at pvp good be the only good thing that will ever happen to some people in an otherwise miserable dead end life with no joy and no chance at meaningful employment. The world is an over flowing toilet and for the next generation this might just be as good as life ever gets. Then again I imagine many will end up cannon fodder in WW3 then join the rest of us fighting for scraps in a global wasteland that makes Mad Max look like paradise. Yes I am very bitter and jaded.

I was so down on this game, yet after the last beta I've done a complete 180. This game is starting to look incredible. Here's hoping!
Well if you insist in killing me together with your Bully friends (not you BC) you can find me on the EU servers, Daggerfall for roleplay reasons, under the name of " Bachus the Bard" ( if people can refrain from stealing that name) ...
i will be waiting for your kind, can you imagine the shame if you loose to just a silly roleplayer?
I know this will greatly disappoint you but I have no issue with roleplayers. You can tap dance in your free time for all I care and it will be an equally irrelevant indicator of your pvp skill or in your case lack thereof. What I have an issue with is your shitty attitude towards pvpers.
Now you will be thrilled to hear that I promised my brother to roll on the EU server with him for once. So not only will you and I be on the same megaserver, but we'll also play in the same faction! However, this could easily be rectified if Bachus the Bard's backstory was changed to support EP or AD.
If I had more time I might level a stupid dominion alt just to kill you a few times, but at this point it seems hardly worth it. Do share your campaign though, maybe I'll get bored.
The "populated" campaign map around that time (3 bar AD, 2 bar ED, 1 bar DC). Sorry, but no matter how much the quality of a faction is, if it is still overrun by a faction with a huge population, it is still at a disadvantage (more than at a disadvantage).
SOLA - www.solaguild.com (christian guild. Being christian is not required for membership though)
I guess most people picked the one that started with an "A". Of course Daggerfall is the lowest population. That is the only reason why it was picked and favored by us old school guys. Old school PvPers love to pick the underdog.
Wouldn't it make more sense for these alleged "most feared pvpers" to spread themselves out amongst the different factions, and thus have more potential for challenging fights? Or are we talking about the kind of "l33t pvpers" that only care about easy kills and dominating their enemies with little fear to their own safety? Judging by your use of the word "Zerg," I'm going to assume the latter.

If that was the case we would have all rolled AD. We picked DC because they are VASTLY outnumbered. If anything all those guilds going DC provided a balance that wouldn't otherwise have been there.
Can't speak for other campaigns but on Skullcrusher last night DC had crushed everyone, they 90% of the map and all the elder scrolls. It made for a long night they were freaking every where. During one battle they were attacking the keep on 3 sides it was a blue shielded wave of repeated death.

Is the OP's information even correct?
guildex.org shows Sinister going Ebonheart. Also, their own website shows:
Current Home Campaign - TBA
Day's Left: - TBA
Ebonheart Points - TBA
Ebonheart points is a reference to Ebonheart, not Daggerfall, right?

I'm not really sure how EP stands honor wise yet, we shall soon see.
