I was at launch for a lot of MMO`s and i must say ESO is not having a nice launch its an average one:
1. Mail was disabled for most of the early access.
2. All the guild functions were disabled today, including chat. It was like you did not have a guild.
3. Broken quests, there are still a lot of them and the old bug from beta is still here but they did find a way to limit it by reducing the number of people that can be there, but if you are unlucky and most of the people in your area do the same quest as you it will bug out. Relogging usually fixes it as you will be placed in another instance with different people.
4. Down times, the server has been down for 4+ hours now, past their estimations.
To be honest i regret i got it now and i did not wait... i was a bit fooled by the fact that when the 5 day early access people got in they said everything is working fine. Or maybe the problems only started when the 3 day early access started.... either way i`m considering either getting a refund or just keep it but quit and try to come back in 6 months.
I live in the EU so as long as i make up my mind withing 14 days i can always get a refund.(as far as i know, i never had to ask for one before)
EDIT: While i was writing the post the server came back with the guild functionality restored. Or so the message says... i`m unable to log in i guess their log in servers are at capacity.
EDIT2: Still unable to log in, i`ll just stop trying and go sleep... we`ll see how i feel about asking for that refund in the morning.

I played the first day of the five day access and for about 7 hours during the beginning of the 3 day access and only had one bugged quest, which was fixed by logging in and out again. Haven't played since. Maybe I was just lucky?

I love this anyway the wind blows approach to what's considered launch I've been seeing. Things going good, it's launch, things going bad, it's not. Good way to look at things IMO.

You weren't lucky, the first two days were incredibly smooth. They discovered a bad bug last night and decided it was best to take everything down for the safety of ones character, fixed it, then put it back up today. Fixed numerous quests and bugs to boot.
Ease up there sunshine, he's seems to have legitimate concerns. They offered early access, if there are issues, I'm sure the decks want to know so they can be addressed. This does not mean that his money was for a bug hunt though, they offers it, he paid, and now he's got the right to speak up.

@OP. Report my post, like you did with the last one.
First couple days were pretty fun.... now none of my characters can log in. Even tried making a new one. Now I've been stuck all day waiting on CS.
Not too impressive....I'd put it at middle/low range of launches (I've been through a ton of them).
Palazious <The Vindicators> Darkfall
Palazious r40, rr45 SW War
Palazious 50 Pirate PoTBS
Palazious 35 Sorcerer Vanguard
Palazious 75 wizard EQ
Paladori 50 Champion LOTRO
Poppa Reaver bugged at rank15
Umm...no. This is one major problem that the devs acted quickly to fix. They also fixed a bunch of other things while they were at it. I was just on, everything was running great. Vanguard was a mess. Hell, WoW was broken for weeks and don't get me started on SWG or Anarchy Line.
Sorry, but I can't take you seriously because of your avatar. May the schwartz be with you.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder, without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them?

I dont know if this is a sarcastic post or an attempt at trolling but The Elder scrolls Online has been by far the most smooth and painless mmorpg launch ever for me.
- No last minute patching problems
- No log in queues problems
- No log in server problems
- No lag
- No crashing or freezing
Yes I experienced bugs in some quests but we aren't talking about mega destructive bugs or game stopping bugs.
This ^^
Aside from a quest bug and some minor pathing for my mage pet, it has been pretty much flawless to me so far. <shrugs>
[mod edit] Saying this launch was worse than Vanguard had Pepsi come out my nose a little. Totally caught me off guard with that one.

Besides a few quests that broke here and there due to the more complex questing system that was not made by a two year old for a two year old and the downtime we had last night I have really had no issues. I have played 50+ MMORPG's for the past 15 years and I would say this was a decent and more then above average head start. Now the launch is not even out yet so I can't even comment on that....

Wait what? I've seen some dandy responses around here, but this, this is gold.

I love the comments that "they fixed everything". Umm no they didnt they just reset the server, give it 24-36 hours and it will be a mess again. They praying enough people get spread out enough to minimize the problems but if they had a rollback I doubt that happens before hard launch.
You have security issues, you have bugged quests, you have had 10 hours at least of servers being down, you have phasing bugs, no guild stuff, no mail....
Yeah best launch ever. WTF is wrong with you guys?
Regardless of whether its early access or not doesnt matter But I suppose when servers goes down for half the day on the 5th it will e the first time they had to take them down I guess?
The game is what everyone said it was going to be released in a paid beta state hat obviously some people cant get enough of.
But by the looks of the official forums this game doesnt have close to the number of people playing it now that were in the betas.
