I am not here to convince any of you of my innocence, I am looking for answers and wanting to hear from people with a similar experience so we can figure out why we were banned, my husband is not banned, we played together joined the same guilds, we did not buy nor sell gold, I bought a few things at the guild store a few days ago but not today, he falls through the world I have not, but falling through the world is not a bannable offense. it is a game flaw, recieving duplicate items in the mail is not a hack, it is a game flaw, so unless you have something constructive to add you are trolling. Anyone have a actual phone number for zenimax?

I hope you and all the fellow people who are experiencing this problem get them resolved quickly. I have never seen banning like this before. I am looking forward to playing this game in the future once all these bugs and horrible customer service are resolved and once the raiding content comes out.
But if people continue to attack anyone who has a problem with the game none of these issues will be resolved they will get swept under the rug because people wont want to deal with rude players who attack them for having a bug that the game creators put there to begin with and players will stop reporting these problems and just leave the game forever.
After seeing that some other (former?) players had their suspensions quietly lifted, I decided to try logging in myself. The suspension on my account is also gone and I was finally able to access my account page on the ESO website.
I immediately took the opportunity to cancel my subscription, and am amazed at how much of a relief that was. Now it's just a matter of getting my eighty bucks back, permanently terminating any financial connection I may have with ZOS, and shaking the dust of this terrible, terrible company off my feet for good.
So far I haven't heard anything from anyone at ZOS since the suspension, and have received no reply to my refund request. I've notified them via the website that I will dispute the charge for the Digital Imperial Edition on Tuesday, April 22, if I haven't heard back from them by close of business Monday, April 21, 2014.
If that becomes necessary, it will be the first time I've disputed a charge from any vendor since I got my first credit card over two decades ago. I'm hoping they will simply grant the refund and apply the appropriate credit to my card without the need for things to get uglier, but I'm willing to go the distance on this and won't consider anything less than a full refund acceptable.
As I mentioned earlier, I like the game itself despite its many problems, but being suspended without warning or explanation after being sidelined by the bank bug since last Sunday was the last straw.
To all the trolls who have insisted on insulting those of us who were wrongfully suspended, I'm more than happy to turn the game over to you. Good luck. Have fun.
All I care about now is getting a refund, which will mark the first time I've ever requested/demanded one for any piece of software since I first started gaming on my Commodore VIC-20 over three decades ago.
Quite an achievement for ZOS. I pray it will be their last involving me.
Groupthink: Why dissent cannot be tolerated in gaming forums.
I lost almost all my gold in the infamous "bank-bug" (15k). I am an Altoholic, have deleted characters several times, so my highest char is just level 13. Actually I have about 4k gold on my toons - doesn't quite look like someone who bought gold.
Afaik I didn't buy gold/use hacks/were in contact with goldsellers/use exploits (duping ...) or did anything else that was against the TOS.
The game WOULD be nice, taking out queststopping bugs, unbalanced character builds, loss of bankspace/gold/items, masses of bots in the public dungeons, goldspammers, cheaters (teleport farming), (for me) constant occuring BSODs, abyssmal customer service, and now these ridiculous bans. Well, not much left to find it nice ...
At least one thing Zenimaxbugs is perfect in - they know how to lose customers ...

I would imagine that after accidentally finding that you have exploited that you then continued to use the exploit would probably flag you up.
I'm always very very dubious when an exploit has been found, and then the wave of bans occur that alot of those saying "I'm innocent" aren't so innocent as they would like us to believe, just like all the prisons in the world are full of ppl who didn't do the crime.
The system gets it wrong some of the time, but not all the time.
they surely don't make mistakes as recent history proves.
there are no quest-stopping bugs in game, no eternal loadingscreens, no BSODs ...
and we are all goldselling bot-using teleporthacking duping cheaters, of course!
now I am also banned on their forums...
at least they found time enough to delete all negative forum posts in their forums ...
what a bunch of clowns!
Because forum mods are usually the devs and programmers working on the actual game itself too...
Please try to use at least the tiniest little bit of common sense before crying about things.
Is 'crying' your favorite word? you seem to use it a lot while defending the game.
The fact remains...mods are in damage control because Zeni is getting very bad publicity over this. But hey lets ignore that and attack the poster who dared defile your lord Zenimax.
My post has what to do with ZOS or ESO? You seem extremely angry for no reason. It's simple logic / facts that apply to any game except for some of the smaller indie companies. Forum mods usually have nothing to do with the game itself, at best they are just fed information / orders from the devs when they feel the need to share that information. Crying about how forum mods are spending their time as if it has any impact on the progress of the game itself is about as ridiculous as crying about someone reporting traffic conditions and raging at them because theyre busy reporting it instead of going out and fixing the traffic themselves like that's their job.
But please, continue with your assumptions that ZOS has anything to do with it rather than the fact that it is just plain stupid to make such a complaint.

People who resort to replies like 'stop crying' are generally the ones who are angry and upset when their favorite game is under the hammer.
And i know forum mods have nothing to do with the in game programming but you chose to focus on that and flame the poster instead of discussing the underlying issue of bad press for Zenimax.
Who cares about trivial stuff like mods are not the programmers? that is not the point here. Mods act on behalf of Zenimax and its their job to lock and delete any topics which put them in bad light. that is what he was trying to say.

So please, continue with your assumption, that we are too stupid to know, that the forum mods have nothing to do with development.
And coming back to your ingenious example about traffic: if you take your time and stop during high traffic to report the situation you are not causing even more problems?
My remark was made in context with the mods having no time (?) to make an official statement about the unjustified bans [mod edit]
So why not spend 10 minutes to make a short official statement about that? And this would surely calm down lots of people.
In my stupidity I think this would take less time than deleting 50 negative posts, right? Besides that it has a much more positive effect than trying to hide/ignore this disastrous mess.
Well I see my decision to run far away from this game, due to bots ect and zen way of dealing with it was the right thing to do. Nice job zen on dealing with the bots and cheaters. instead of doing a real investigation, nah lets just ban every one its the right thing to do.
Guys the OP posted about getting a ban, and then on the same day he posted to say he was now being let in.
The same day.
Hardly a long response time.
Actually, there was no response. I still haven't heard from them.
I just logged in again after some people in this thread said they too could finally get in.
Apparently, we were cleared of our suspensions after they investigated our accounts. That just shows the ignorance of some who posted in this thread about "the data doesn't lie" and "they are all lying cheaters" etc.

Hardly a long response time.
My issue is the lack of communication. Yet they still want my money when at any moment I can get suspended for a reason I can still only guess at why I got flagged. As a paying customer I think I am owed some explanation.

They lifted my ban overnight so I was banned for about 1 day which I agree isn't horrible. Except, there was a complete lack of any communications to just about anyone who was banned. No information was sent to my email or available on my account page as to what was going on. I got a login error trying to log into the game and only found out when I tried to login to the web site with the only message being my account has been suspended. No email that it happened, no information why, and no information for how long.
They apologized in the response email and did say a number of people got caught up in the ban that shouldn't have been.
I don't fault the response time but I think the execution of this whole thing was very poorly done. If you are fighting to get people to continue paying to play your game past the first month of included sub why would you make your job harder with something like this? Banning cheaters is a good thing, banning a large number of innocent players by accident during the first 30 day's of game time is a stupid mistake and one that is going to cost them more than a few subs I think.
As for me I haven't canceled my sub yet but I am a bit closer today than I was on Thursday.

WOOT! They fixed me, I'm back in the game. Try logging in, I dint receive an email or anything on it, just logged on in now.
Scratch that, I did receive an email it looks like just took time to get to me.
They responded to the phone support message I entered three hours ago, and not to the appeal or the support tickets from earlier in the day.
Well Mr Knotwood your post has prompted me to try the game, and low and behold, I too am in the game:) Bite me trolls.
8) Very nice!

No company is going to ban you without the metrics to qualify and support such action. ZOS have the data. Data doesn't lie.
People do though
Prison systems the world over are full of people that "didn't do it"....

ah, the joy of playing new release MMOs?
Thanks for reminding me why I play older titles
The sarcasm is strong in this one. At least their implementation of Guild AHs though rather than a Global AH has protected the economy though!!!
